Personality: Nanako is a complex character who prefers to stay on the lighthearted/easygoing side of things as long as she can. She doesn't like to get into arguments unless there is no other way to explain herself or a situation. There are times when she wants to be rough, but she must keep herself in line with what her Mother expects and that is completely the opposite of who she actually wants to be. She holds a grudge against herself for not stopping her brother from leaving on a journey and getting hurt so she tries to make others, who are close to her, stay with her. She is strong willed on the inside so much that the conflict of who she is constantly messing up who she is supposed to be on the outside and leads to her creating moments of hesitation and a lack of verbal and physical displays.

___Nanako is a young girl of only 15 years who has lived within Uzushiogakure her entire life. She has always been a delicate girl in the eyes of her mother and their friends. This type of life has kept Nanako in deep depression on the surface, but a ninja within the village noticed her in private once and began to teach her the most basic aspects of being a ninja. This expression allowed Nanako to bring who she truly was to the surface, in secret, and allowed her to overcome the grief of losing her brother in a war no one in the village asked for.
After 5 long years of recovery, the village had been steady rebuilding and Nanako had to come to terms with who she wanted to become. She wished to be a ninja and that meant she had to tell her mother that she would not marry to build up the Tobiume family again. Having dreaded the conversation for weeks now, Nanako is still nowhere closer to telling her mother and the wedding is almost upon her. Every night her head lays down on her pillow is another debilitating frenzy of fear. She knows that she can overcome this scenario, but there is still fear in the back of her mind. She doesn't want to lose her mother... She is the last member she still has with her.
