"That's enough Luchino. The situation is escalating."
"FOOOOOHOOHOOD!"
clinking to green haired man the blonde haired boy was whining unbelievablely loud not.
"Let's head to Hojo-sans as quickly as possible...hng what?"
Everyone else had already begun moving leaving the man adjusting his glasses behind.
"W...Wait!"
Dragging the blonde haired boy who refused to move on his own Unki would find herself next awakening at Ika-Shokuji. -exit

__ Kenshin arrived in the White Flash District towards the center of the village leading a large squad of police. The emergency lights were beaming and the alarms were blaring as they hurriedly evacuated people to the tunnels. In the chaos, the police did what they could to organize the panicking citizens into the evacuation tunnels in an orderly fashion. One woman tripped and dropped her infant child during the running. Kenshin quickly retrieved the child and placed it in the woman's arms when she stood up again. The mother's cheeks were coated in panicked tears before being relieved to feel the weight of the child in her arms again. She thanked the police captain as she was escorted by the other officers. He listened to his radio and heard that all districts were being successfully evacuated to safety underground. Once every single citizen was evacuated to the anti-sensory bunkers in the tunnels under the village Kenshin left for the Floodgate to assist with the bijuu situation.

~Current Theme Music~:The Fragrance of Dark Coffee

During chats with a small Hoshigaki and a sun god. One of Toso's clones was dipatched to do something that was of the utmost neccesity. There was a promise made to Saiken, and if no efforts were being made to fulfill it they would undoubtedly be on bad terms, or rather terms that would be growing progressively worse. While the other clone was conversing with a certain bartender and also doing something else that was of the utmost neccesity as quickly as possible this clone of Toso had begun an investigation. With all that was done during the Saiken attack there was one piece missing and one important one at that. If Saiken was placed in a child incapable of containing it, it implied very much so that it was extracted. If it was extracted that very well meant that the original host had to have been somewhere. While it was most certainly a long shot the sloppiness of it and the proximity to the gates seemed to be a possible clue that the body was nearby. Toso wouldn't have been so keen to begin this investigation if not for a nagging sensation that had been bothering him since the sealing of Saiken into his person. It was a very small feeling, a feeling of being incomplete. A feeling that Saiken's chakra was somewhere else. He felt this in the presence of his bartender of which he'd had yet to discuss with about and he also felt it...here.

Amidst the white flash district, there sat a building. The clone would then enter said building to see that it was a simple costume shop that had been foreclosed. An eerie feeling overcame the clone as puppets dangled from loose old strings and ratty costumes hung on display shelves. The feeling was coming from a metal door. A metal door that stated staff only. An old phonograph sat on the counter covered in dust. The Toso clone would brush past it as a cloud of dust kicked into the air. The needle would then fall on the phonograph as the corrupt sounds of that familiar carousel tune everyone knew began to play scratchily. This location was getting more and more eerie by the second. This however, would not detract the Hojo clone from his goals.

Not realizing it. The eyes of the puppets on the shelves would gleam and flicker red. The Toso clone as he reached for the rickety handle would hear the shuffling to turn for a moment to see the zombie like marionettes coming to life. It was all a bit harrowing. Quickly now the Toso clone opened the door ducked behind and firmly shut it. The sound of what could be several thumpings against the door occurred after. This would not be a pleasant or fun memory to give back to his real self. Suddenly extremeties of pointed knives and such started to penetrate it adding even more to the tension. When the music stopped so did the thumping on the door. A breath of relief as the bespectacled clone looked up.

There strung like some kind of meat puppet was a boy, a boy with a glaze in his eyes that had not been shut. There was a visible sign of what could be decomposition but the body still remained intact, which was surprising as one would expect it to have been more worse for the wear. Beneath him a circle of sorts a fuuin, one that seemed to have been incredible. Toso went to investigate the body, wherein he analyzed it. "A fellow artist...to think this is how we would meet ebi." Sullen with regret, he'd then feel the bodies skin and neck. It was doubtful but he would still check for signs of life. None. With a swift sleight of hand, the Toso clone would cut the strings that suspended the boy where the body would then collapse only to be caught. His skin...felt almost like plastic. dried plastic, like something that was once slick had dried. Black bird-like feathers fell from the body.

The floor in question of this room and the look of the boy implied one of two things either the boy was the host or there was an attempt to make this boy a host. The means of whomever and however the individual obtained Saiken would be a mystery and remain that way. Perhaps this boy was chosen becaue the original host carried the same blood about them? That didn't matter all that much as with analyzing the ground there revealed to be a slime of sorts...looking to the corner what looked to be another location of which the clone would investigate.

Tinkering plainly visible. Items typically used in creating explosives, wiring, pliers and various other tools...and yet the impression on the table....bore human girl like visage. No doubt the criminal whomever they may have been when they failed with one moved to another medium. That being the poor girl who lost her life that fateful day. Looking at the seal and back to the table a phylactery of sorts with a fuuin inscription that seemed oddly deformed looked partially cracked. With some deduction, it seemed the criminal was successful in sealing Saiken but had to do it in some roundabout way.

Analyzing the room again now this room appeared to have two staircases...one that lead down...and then up, likely to the roof. The clone with body in hand would look down the staircase to see a pitch black emptiness below, a scent most foul wafting up. Then more red eyes....s**t it was not prepared to fight anything given the amount of chakra it was given but then a loud CAW CAW! Noise, as what essentially burst out from the lower floor was a bunch of ravens that began to circle the room likely looking at the body of the boy as carrion. "Damn bloop" There was no time to play additional detective. While it was unlikely mere ravens would be enough to dispatch the clone it couldn't chance that. Rushing up the staircase being followed along the way by the hellish avians the door to the roof would be flung open as the birds all flooded out into the air and scattered.

A sigh of relief as the Toso clone waved over a random operative presenting them the body. "If you would be so kind. Bloop, seal this body in a scroll and make certain the hospital receives it." As the operative did just that the Toso clone would open the palm of his hand. In it was an Ukyo Mizo the phial with an Ukyo's blood contained inside. Had they met another time, another day, perhaps if he had been more aggressive in wanting to become the friend of more villagers, this all would never have happened. That being said with this in hand the clone would leave to re-unite with his true self with information that could lead to the killer or killers responsible for Saiken's rampage.

If it weren't for Sato, Cashew would have no way of knowing how to get here. The White Flash District. It was a large connection of streets reaching almost every other area on the mountain. There were large crowds of people walking down the street, and just as many in the stores that ran along the sides. It only made sense for there to be much traffic during this time of day, only a few hours past noon.

The mouse was short enough not to cause a bunch of attention to himself, with everyone focused on the surrounding stores or getting to where they needed to be, but that didn't stop the occasional gasp or groan in disgust when he was noticed. The thought of using the transformation technique to change his appearance came to mind. Cashew let the thought simmer for a short while, before realizing his actual form was better suited for this kind of task. His senses, for one, and the ability to go somewhat unnoticed when he reverted to his beastly state. He stayed close to Sato anyhow, keeping his eyes, nose, and ears alert for any signs of their teacher. He was no dog, but Akina-sensei had a recognizable scent of sweet cherry blossoms.

"How are we going to find Akina-sensei with all of these people around?" Sato weaved in and out between the people walking in the street, doing his best to keep up with Cashew who was leading. Despite the mouse's efforts in staying close to the boy, he was also focused on locating their teacher. If she was here in the streets, where would she be? Why would she need a suitcase? "I don't know. Keep your eyes and your ears sharp." As the duo continued to snake their way through the main streets bustling with people, Sato kept tabs on some of the shops they peered into. Cashew was in charge of keeping an eye on the alleyways as they passed by, and paying close attention to some of the buzz among the crowd. Perhaps they'd find a better lead soon.

The streets were a busy place inside and out people were walking by constantly. It would only be a matter of time before one of the two detectives with a more sensitive sense of smell would pick up the wafting aroma of cherry blossoms..in a most peculiar place? There were no cherry blossom trees in the area so this must have been the trail of their teacher. Should that trail be followed it would lead to a curry restaurant which would cause the smells to intermingle and become muddied with the scent of spices. However, it wouldn't have been difficult to hear the familiar sounding voice of their teacher. "Here. I got what you wanted, now, you fulfill your end of the bargain." The voice would come from an alleyway dark and ominous. There would just happen to be a trash can large enough nearby for the dynamic duo to eavesdrop behind.

A man tall and lanky, swirly glasses in vibrant attire seeming somewhat irate that his lunch was just interrupted would be in front of their teacher who was handing the man the briefcase. Inside, it would be difficult to notice but what he pulled out didn't seem to be drugs or anything that would typically be considered an illegal substance. "Selling out your own students tah save your own skin how the mighty have fallen aye sensei." The teacher clenched her fist her face growing red, whether from anger or something else was to be determined. "I have a career, what you have would ruin me, now give to me what was promised. Haruko's and mine. Now. You lecherous piece of s**t." "Yeah, yeah and I have a career too. I'd watch that tongue of yours Ak-i-na. If I was you." He'd break her name up threateningly poking her chest with a spoon in rhythm. It was clear now what the man pulled out from the suitcase was a bunch of polaroid photos as he held them in one of his hands like one would a fan. He'd raise an eyebrow and he'd then raise his voice. "Are you straight ******** with me!?"

The fan of photos would be flipped around and reveal pictures of the academy students in day to day life seemingly enjoying their time during recess and eating lunch shoved in the woman's face as the man leaned in. The man would then throw them in the teacher's face who looked down to the side both in what seemed like shame and frustration as they fell on the ground. "How do you expect me to sell these? If I wanted wholesome family photos I could just rob a house you dumb slut. None of these even have good angles on their feet, I can't even make a buck off the freaks and you expect me to trade you my good stuff for this garbage." "You wanted pictures of kids! I gave you pictures of kids! You never said what kind of pictures! Now give me what was promised!" Akina's rage fumed as it did when it targeted Cashew and Sato for their tardiness...and then it quelled with the sudden echo of a slap through the alley. Akina would place a hand on the newfound redness on her face and fell to her knees crying but still with a fit of anger in her eyes and gritted teeth. The man then leaned over her, mockingly looking down on her. "You're worried about your career? You better cut that attitude before I do more than just ruin it. You'll be on the front page of every damn mag from here to the land of tea, you and that whore friend of yours plastered on the city sidewalks." He'd then pick up the irritable teacher by her collar who avoided all forms of eye contact with the man. "See, I'm a kind and generous guy. For interruptin my lunch and wasting my time, you get me something I can sell for big bucks and I'll destroy those photos, every last one, you and your 'girlfriends'. It should be easy right? Ak-i-na. Just a trip to the hot springs? Call it a field trip? Simple stuff." then the man's eyebrow would raise as he seemed to catch something out the corner of his eye. Having tailed their teacher would they elude the eyes of the man assaulting her? If they failed it no doubt would spell trouble for their teacher as it would be immediately assumed that she had led them there. The man had every right to make that assumption. After all this man was none other than ChinChin Daiyuri The Rogue Photographer, A Wanted Man.

He walked down the streets, hands in his pockets and a happy tune whistling from his lips. He was in a new place with new people to fight- why shouldn't he be happy? Well, there was the boy. Koutetsu had been taken to see village leadership. While he felt an obligation to help him out, the kid could certainly fend for himself. Karuto wasn't a helicopter mentor; Koutetsu would learn to sink or swim on his own and, while Karuto unceasingly wished for his success, that could not come without a certain inherent risk. He would check on him before the day was out and if all went awry then he would solve the problem by force if he had to. While he was a far cry from the strongest shinobi in the world there were few who could stop the Raiken from going where he wanted. A fortunate by-product of having pectorals bigger than most people's heads. It was around this time, though, that he noticed his stomach beginning to growl. 'Hmmm...wonder what they got here'

He did what he always did in this situation- he followed his nose. The divining rod of good eats led him to a small curry shop not far away. The smell of meats and spices elicited a second, larger, growl. Without much looking around, the giant fighter took a set in a corner booth and ordered a large bowl and a glass of milk. Time to dig in!

All hope seemed to be lost as the duo continued down the street, swimming through a massive lake of bodies. These bodies were alive, of course. Walking, talking, and eating among other things. The mixture of sounds and smells as the mouse detective honed in on his two strongest senses was slowly starting to overwhelm him. It seemed as if the two were going back and forth a couple of blocks on a particular street, Cashew catching a whiff of something that was familiar to Akina-sensei's unique aroma, only to find something totally different when they got to the source. "Maybe this was a bad idea, Cashew... We won't be able to find here in all of this craziness." Sato sighed, like growing tired from all of the walking they were doing, right after exhausting himself at the Dojo earlier. "No. We'll find her. Trust me, friend." He couldn't have his friend losing hope! More importantly, he didn't want to fail simply due to information overload. His senses never failed him before in finding the most prime pieces of food, even in the smelliest dumps. To drop this investigation would mean he failed himself, Akina-sensei, and possibly the entire village, as a mouse.

                                            "Hold on!"

There was suddenly, a light at the end of the tunnel. Cashew's body went rigid, his nose high in the air, wiggling frantically like a blip had gone off on a radar. "What is it, Cashew?" Sato barely stopped in time to keep from stepping on his best friend, but was happy to be able to take a breath. This scent... Sweat. No, that was Sato's. Vanilla... Ice cream from the two ladies four feet away. A strong wave of curry, it's place currently unidentified. "Ah!" The cherry blossoms, he could smell them! It was the unmistakable scent of Akina-sensei. His entire body shortly pointed in the direction of the scent before swiftly following the trail. They needed a lead, and now they had one! Sato's break was cut short, tailing behind the mouse as he was quite literally being lead by his nose. He focused solely on Akina-sensei's as best as he could despite the lingering smells of everything else that didn't matter. Yet there was one glaring issue the mouse detective was becoming aware of: the stronger Akina-sensei's scent became, so did the smell of spicy curry. It's savory aroma coupled with spices and meats could easily overwhelm the subtle, floral scent that was their teacher's. Oddly enough, just her scent became the faintest, the duo stood at the entrance of a curry shop. A long table lined with chairs to serve customers from the street side was in sight... only for a third of it to be eclipsed by the hulking mass of a blonde-haired man.

"W-woah..." The boy was merely a moon in orbit around this planet of a man; Cashew likely a satellite having strayed far from where it was intended to be. This man had muscles for his muscles, the size of his family's nests! How do humans grow this big? He's the largest I've ever seen... Cashew was momentarily distracted from his mission, staring in awe of this man's mighty physique. He clearly had to be on a whole cow diet. Hooves and all. Great sources of calcium and protein for maximum moosel gains.

The sound of his teacher's voice pulled him from his trance, thankfully, reminding him of his current mission. The two moved passed the curry shop and its bouncer to a dark alleyway that lead into further darkness beside it. "It's kind of dark down there..." Sato protested, hesitating as Cashew bravely started down the alleyway. "Have no fear Sato." The mouse whispered as he approached his friend, tapping him on the shoulder. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you." With a little encouragement, Sato was willing to follow Cashew down into the dark alley, the duo quickly hid behind the large trashcan as Akina-sensei and a bright-colored male came into view. The briefcase she was hiding earlier was opened. Selling out her students? The stealthy mouse's ears twitched, focusing on their conversation with intense curiosity. What could the man possibly have on her that would not only threaten her career, but force her to endanger her students? The vibrantly dressed male pulled some cards? No, photos, out of the briefcase, and judging by his reaction, he was not pleased with them in the slightest. Sato gasped silently, hearing words nastier than the garbage the two were hiding behind. While Cashew had very little idea of what any of this meant, the situation wasn't looking good for Akina-sensei or this man's motives.

Strike one. Cashew's brows furrowed as the male disrespectfully toss the photos back into his teacher's face. Once again, Sato gasped silently, hearing another dirty word. Geez, this man had a mouth nastier than his attitude! He wanted pictures of the children. Cashew was confused as to why she'd have to hide them from the students if they were involved. She could have simply asked for them to take some. However, it soon became apparent this man was looking for specific pictures - or at the very least, some with feet. Why would anyone buy pictures of a child's feet? Either humans were very strange, or Cashew had a lot to learn. Likely both. Whatever it was that Akina-sensei wanted in return, these pictures wouldn't suffice, and she was clearly upset. Her retaliation reminded the boys much of their experience a day ago after class, which was nearly traumatic for Sato, the goody-two-shoes. Strike two! Sato wrapped a hand around the bold mouse, as he couldn't stop himself from walking out into plain sight after witnessing the man slap his teacher directly across the face. It took him a short while to quell the flames of the mighty hero boiling within his veins. He really wanted to help her. And now Haruko was in danger, too. He had something on the two of them, willing to broadcast it to the entire village if he didn't get what he wanted... which was pictures of children's feet?

Once again, Cashew stepped out from the trashcan, bravely willing to step up to the defense of his teacher as she was suspended by the grip of her collar. "No, Cashew!" Sato whispered hastily, snatching him back under cover. How did such a small thing have so much spunk? "I-I... don't understand. Why is he doing this to her?"

"My parents told me to watch out for these kinds of people. They're called predators. *****. They do bad things to children, and that's why I'm only allowed so far away from home by myself and have a strict curfew to be home by sunset."

                                            "But the pictures?"

"They want photos. Nasty photos..." Cashew was starting to understand a little bit. These photos he wanted in exchange for Akina-sensei's and Haruko had to be of equal value. This man suggested photos of the children at the hot springs. He could definitely get photos of their feet from there and--

Wait a minute... the children would also likely be nude! This was beyond dishonorable in Cashew's eyes. Before he could act on his instincts, Sato pulled the two closer to the wall against the trash can to hide themselves as the perverted man looked in their direction. Sato kept his breath as steady as possible, while Cashew remained silent, still in disbelief.

"Tch I must be seeing things..." He'd drop the woman coldly on the ground. Looking at her in a manner in which one could only consider the other garbage. She returned the stare with mutual intent. "You get a week. You get me the good s**t and we're squared. Easy. I have eyes and ears everywhere Akina. You so much as say the first three letters of my name and I'll know. I'll blow this dump of a village and find someplace else to sell my collections. They've already got my name and face here. I only stick around for the curry, but you better believe everyone will know your face...and then some, if so much as a single rodent finds out about my places of business." In a fair fight it was no doubt their teacher would be able to body this nerd. However, there must have been something holding her back. Swallowing the bitter pill she simply looked defeated. "I, understand..."

Deep down there was no way she was going to do what the man was asking of her. She would rather become a creepy basement dwellers rocket fuel than jeopardize the innocence of the children she worked with. However, at the same time, it wasn't just her it was also Haruko. Haruko her fellow co-worker and closest friend. Someone, she'd do anything for but how could she do something as sinful as what was being asked of her. The woman that covered for her so that she could meet with this deplorable individual to try and save both their careers and innocence, how could she fail her? Wracked with indecision she'd be biting her lip to the point it would bleed.

The man would take a bite of the curry he still had in his hands. Before spitting it out on the teacher. "Pppbt. Cold. What a damn waste." Looking miserable with bits of carrot and potato in her hair the teacher simply stared at the ground cursing her own weakness. The man in glasses would then toss the plate of curry on the ground in front of her where it splattered causing her to flinch as the sauce got all over her clothes and face. He'd then turn around and begin walking away deeper into the alley before turning his head towards the teacher. "A week Akina. Six. Oh, and clean yourself up, you look totally unphotogenic right now." he then sighed looking away as he breathily said the following before pulling out a camera and snapping a photo without looking at her, he'd remove the photo and shake it a testament to the teacher's misery. "but of course I'm sure I could find some freak into it, there's a fetish for everything. Should at least cover the cost of the curry." then in a puff of smoke the brightly colored man was gone. There was one thing he said that didn't properly fit into his sentences. The word Six. What that meant would remain a mystery.

Phew, they weren't caught. No thanks to the terrible luck of dice fate, but perhaps a blessing from the monks or a work of the mysterious Shiraishin? Let this be a value lesson for Sato, always do your chores.

Cashew watched the scene from behind the trashcan, his head sticking out only to reveal the narrowed eyes of the rodent detective glaring at the rogue. He felt terrible for Akina-sensei, who was completely helpless in this situation. Neither student had witnessed her in such a state, and despite her current circumstances were hoping she'd fight back. Show this punk what she's really made of. Unfortunately, these two - Sato being young, and Cashew simply just not knowing any better - had much to learn about how leverage worked. She was in a bind. If she didn't do what was asked of her, Akina-sensei and Haruko would be exposed. If she tried to ask for help, then she'd suffer the same fate, only for this creep to get away with it. A 'single rodent' knew more about his secret than he realized, and he wasn't about to let this weirdo get away so easily. Cashew had to hold himself back once again as he proceeded to spit food on his sensei, and follow it up with throwing his plate, creating even more of a mess. Justice will serve you a fine curry dish, sir. Soon. Very soon. He felt terrible for assuming Akina-sensei was up to something criminal at first. Now it was apparent that she was being manipulated by someone else into doing some dirty work. He knew deep down his teacher would never put her students at risk. The mouse had only known her for a short time, but the way she cared for her students (and scolded them when they needed to be) proved more than anything that they meant the world to her.

After turning his back and walking away, the mouse was the first to leave from behind the trash can, making his approach known as soon as the photographer vanished in a puff of smoke. "Akina-sensei! Are you alright?" He began removing the pieces of broken plate from in front of her, placing them in a pile off to the side. Sato came from around the trashcan around this time, his eyes tearing up in fear and sadness for his teacher. "Oh, Akina-sensei. I'm so glad we found you!" He ran up and gave his teacher a hug, not caring about the bits of food all over her, but the fact that she was safe. Cashew went straight to the point, knowing full well she'd have questions for them. "Please forgive me, Akina-sensei. After this morning with the suitcase and your sudden exit out of the class, I felt that something was off, so we came looking for you. That horrible man... there must be some way we can help!" The mouse would use the end of his cape to clean off his teacher's face if she didn't reject it, making an effort to get her at least a little cleaned up.

Meh. It was okay. Smelled better than it tasted. Still, protein was protein and he would be damned if he left any of this curry on this plate. As he scarfed down his lunch he was disturbed by some rather loud conversation he could hear going on outside followed shortly by a 'smash' and the familiar sound of sobbing. 'Should I get involved? Probably not' Unfortunately for him, his heart had the power to overrule his head and it was just very un-Karutolike to sit by while people had trouble around him. So that was how he found himself rising from his booth and heading out the swinging door in the back of the restaurant into the side-alley. He found a smaller woman collapsed on the ground, crying profusely with bits of food in her hair. It was a truly pitiful sight and the large man's heart broke to see anyone in this state. He rushed forward and knelt down before her "Miss, are you ok? Who did thi-"

Holy Sh*t.

He hadn't noticed it before- the crying had masked it...but there was a mouse standing on it's hind legs cleaning the teacher's face with...wait was that a cape?! No. Nope. Nuh-uh. He wasn't having this. He spoke slowly to the woman, almost growling "Don't...move..." In response, the mouse seemed to turn to face him. Wait again! WAS IT TALKING!? The giant man suddenly skittered backwards, tripping and sliding as he did everything to put some distance between himself and this unholy abomination "AGH! GET IT AWAY! F*CK F*CK F*CK!!" His hand fell on a coffee can as he crawled backwards- a can which Karuto promptly threw at the rodent in an attempt to knock it off the woman's shoulder.

God he hated mice.

She'd hear the voice of a man that suddenly snapped her back into reality the she'd be taken aback the teacher was not prepared to receive any form of consolidation. She was getting ready to stand before going wide-eyed at being embraced. "You..." for a moment she felt relieved. But that was when her heart sank. "No!" She'd suddenly push off Sato and with an air of paranoia started looking around sharply whilst still on the ground. A camera attached to the curry restaurant seemed to be turning their direction before it was shot down by the kunoichi with a shuriken. "You shouldn't be here! This is no place for children let alone students!" Her temper flared, she was a strong woman despite the redness of her eyes and irritability. "How.." This was when the voice of the male became more pronounced when she was told not to move as she stood and turned around to see the form of the one whose voice she first heard.

When the man threw the coffee skin she countered with a projectile of her own having the can collapse on the ground with the shuriken that struck looking at the blubbering bloke. "I'd implore you not to attack my students!" Akina was overwhelmed with emotion, indecision, confusion, frustration, and now uncertainty. Has Chinchin seen the students? If he had it would only mean they were now targets. She should have done something, something had she only known he'd been tailed. She should have acted out on that suspicion in her gut. Now because of him, no because of her, these kids likely now were at risk of possibly losing their lives to the criminal underbelly.

She'd breathe, regain her composure, what little she had left of it. She looked the man up and down. "You...you aren't from here." she'd note Karuto's lack of headband and also his muscles but she would leave that detail out of her examination of his person. This could work to her advantage. Chinchin knew whom to avoid and keep his distance from, its how he'd eluded capture thus far. But this man she'd never seen before and yet he had an air of notable strength to them. Strong individuals who weren't known in the village were a rarity. She'd place Cashew down and look at both him and Sato "All right both of you are to stick close to this meathead. This is sudden, but I can't be seen with the two of you. Cashew, Sato, STAY OUT OF THIS." She'd say in the kindest but yet harshest tone imaginable. "Something like this is beyond you. I don't want either of you getting hurt, I need...I need to figure something out. Just go to class tomorrow and pretend none of this ever happened, I'll be there, promise." She wanted to reassure them by giving them a sense of security that she was fine and that she'd be fine. This was of course very much not the case but she said it anyway to maintain the airs a teacher should have in reassuring her students. Her eyes locked on to Karuto fire flaming in her irises making her just as frightful a presence as any rodent. "And you, You make sure nothing happens to my students or so help me god I'll throw you in and lock you in Arashigakure's sewer." Akina would then begin to pick up the remains of their 'deal' and shove them back in the briefcase. Wholesome or not, they weren't something you leave in the street. Akina would begin to leave the alley-way she'd look back momentarily. "Stay safe and hurry home." It was clear Akina didn't want Cashew or Sato to have anything to do with what she considered her mess as she began to hastily walk away but the hearts of heroes were not something so easily swayed were they? She began muttering something to herself in a method of reminder. "Six. Where was Six. Think Akina." if any caught wind it was at least confirmed that Six was not a number but a where. But where was six? If it was a where, Is that where the man would be found again for their next meeting?

When Akina-sensei finally came to, no one was expecting her reaction. Sato, who had been clinging on to her with tears streaming down his face, was suddenly pushed away, falling on his rear. He looked at her in a mixture of shock, confusion, and pain. "A-akina... sensei?" He flinched as his sensei raised her voice. He thought she'd be happy for them wanting to help her, but it was the exact opposite. Sato wasn't aware of the potential danger the duo might have put themselves in, only that his teacher was suddenly upset with them.

The sound of male's voice was heard towards the entrance of the alleyway, Cashew likely being the first to respond by turning to the source of the noise. It was the big, bulky man they passed by at the curry shop! If only he had showed up earlier, they might have been able to take out that rogue before he disappeared. Though his attention was on the mouse in Akina's arms now, and Cashew did not like the look on his face. It was an all to familiar face from just about anyone who saw him, or a mouse in general. One of absolute fear. "Uh, sir..." He could feel it, the fear emanating from this man who looked like he could tear down brick walls with his own body. His ears lowered, hearing the blonde shouted, picking up a nearby coffee can. You're not going to do what I think you're... Oh yes, he tossed it. Aiming straight for the mouse, Cashew would have likely been smacked in the face with it, if it hadn't been for his sensei's quick reaction. A shuriken deflected the coffee can, preventing the mouse from harm.

After he was set down, it was clear by Akina-sensei's words that she did not want them involved in this, at all. It was understandable, Cashew and Sato were her students, and she prioritized her safety above all else. They were directed to stay with the muscle man, who'd take them to safety. Yea, probably a good idea for Sato, but after witnessing his reaction to Cashew's presence, the mouse wasn't all too eager to join them. Neither could he ignore the fire deep in his heart, urging him to help Akina-sensei despite her protests. "Sato, stay with this man." He'd begin running out of the alleyway only to stop midway to face the meathead briefly, "I'll be having a few words for you in a moment, sir." There was a slight sternness to his voice, as he pointed his little mousy finger and pointed at him expectantly. He shook his head as he continued on. How could such a large man be so scared of a mouse!? He could hear her muttering something about 'six' as she turned the corner, but had no clue what it meant.

"Akina-sensei!" He'd quickly catch up to her, ignoring any protests she might throw his way as he approached. "I understand you want to protect us as your students, but I cannot simply go back to class as if nothing happened, when you're the one in trouble. You're always there for us. So, let us be there for you. I can promise you Sato's safety with my life. Nothing will bring him harm. Nothing. However, I will not be backing down from this." He made a promise to Toso that in exchange for his enlistment that'd he serve him in preparation for this war. Cashew also stated that he'd serve his community - the people of Arashi. The mouse refused to turn his back to someone in need, and definitely not to his teacher. Cashew stood firm, staring his sensei in the eyes with his beady, purple ones. "Please, Akina-sensei. You don't have to do this alone; you're safety is just as important as your students. Without you, we'd be lost." He was well aware of the danger he might be getting himself into, not only with the current situation, but the possibility of incurring Akina-sensei's wrath once again. The mouse was training to become a ninja in preparation for a war that very well may take his life. If he could die knowing Akina-sensei was spared from her predicament and back with her students, happy and whole once again, then he'd willingly go for that cause.

Akina stopped to look behind her. The little warrior's words tugged at her heart just enough to have her bit back the sourness that was coming off of her. To say that she always looked out for them only now having just done what she did was one of the most painful of ironies, even if the photos were just wholesome day to day pictures. She exhaled and broke up her words carefully and concisely while she leaned down looking Cashew in his eyes and placing a hand on his cheek. "Listen. Cashew. You need to think about this. It's not just you, it's also Sato. A man like Ch.. she stopped herself from letting his name slip as she sighed in all seriousness. "A man like the one you saw today may not care that much about someone like you, but a boy like Sato in his hands, if he somehow got a hold of him, your friend would be put through some of the worst things imaginable that could be done to someone his age. If you truly want to help me. Then you mustn't bring Sato. I can't risk anything happening to him. Humans can do truly terrible things to other humans Cashew, some things worse than death." She noticed someone approaching out the corner of her eye. In a brightly colored beanie, with others wearing similar attire, they hadn't taken notice to her yet but she stood up quickly picking up the suitcase looking away from the mouse.

"If you really truly want to help Cashew. You'll be a good student and come see me after class, WITHOUT Sato." She'd then make a break for it. The rabble-rousers would then find themselves looking around for someone. "A RAT n a kid he says. Should be round ere somewhere." Looking at a provided photo with wincing eyes the goon blinked twice before exclaiming. "Hot damn that's a big rat! Right an he said if we find the kid to take em to the 'place'. Says he might be worth somethin." It seemed Cashew center stage of the street wouldn't have been noticed yet but it would have been heard vividly. When that man snapped a photo, his hurried actions with Sato exposed himself in the last few seconds before the mean man's departure. Now he was sending some thuggish neon boys to tie up loose ends. These men were fast approaching however, even with their bow legged pants falling off walks.

Cashew couldn't believe how cruel humans could be to other humans, let alone children. Aside from the bully he and Sato encountered at the cafeteria, most of his interactions have been with decent people. Mr. Tosokurui was a different matter with his... squiddly features, but that was something Cashew hoped to learn more about sometime in the future. He and Akina-sensei were on the same page when it came to Sato's safety. He fully intended on leaving the boy out of this the moment he decided to follow through with helping his teacher. The mouse couldn't risk losing his best friend, or letting his teacher down if something were to happen to him and he fail to protect him. After all, he still was only a mouse. The little magic tricks he studied, and his own cleverness when it came to survival would only take him so far. Who knew how dangerous this would truly get. Still, he was determined to see this through, for his teacher, and to the promise he made to the Squid Kage. "I understand, Akina-sensei..." He nodded, ears drooping slightly. Sato likely wouldn't agree with what was going to happen; the mouse only hoped he could get him to understand.

As Akina ran for it, Cashew heard the talk of some rat and a kid, only to see three men dressed identical to the rogue they encountered in the alleyway. "Oh no..." He wasn't concerned with being called a rat at this moment, but the fact that these men were specifically targeting Sato. Wherever this 'place' was that they wanted to take Sato to, the mouse was certain nothing good would come of it after hearing what Akina told him. Somehow they managed to get what appeared to be a photo of them... but how? This is not good... He scurried back to the curry shop, using the stools combined with the crowd of walking villagers in the streets to cover his movements back into the alley where Sato and the muscled man were located.

"Cashew! What happened?" As the mouse approached, the two embraced briefly, before Cashew went straight to the point. "Forgive me, friend. You're in danger. We have to get you home. Now."

"But, what about you and Ak--"

"We're going to be fine. I'm going to help her, but only once you are safe. We can't risk anything happening to you." He'd turn, so as to speak to both the boy and the massive bodybuilder, "Remember that man we saw here in bright clothing? There are three others just like him searching for us both... They know what we look like, and they're trying to track us down. We need to leave immediately." He'd fully turn to the blonde now, "I'd like to ask for your assistance sir. I do not know you, but I can feel in my gut that your heart is pure, and can only hope that you'd put your fear for me aside, if only to get Sato to safety. I need you to get us to the Monsoon Temples." Taking either of them straight to Sato's home was way too risky, and might also put his father in danger if these men started to get desperate. At least at the temples, he'd have protection from the monks and his mother's family, who'd be able to get him home much safer than a large muscular man and a moderately sized rodent out in plain sight ever could. "Will you help us?"

Cashew waited for his response, and if this man chose to help them, then the following plan would proceed: Cashew and Sato both would use the transformation technique to hide their identities, Cashew, a to-go bowl of curry and Sato, a towel to hang around the man's shoulders. That'd give him the image of a Dojo maniac grabbing lunch from an intense training session, and should hopefully get them out of the streets to safety.

He didn't really hear anything the woman said, he was still mentally dealing with the TALKING MOUSE! Wait. Mice didn't talk. And they DEFINITELY didn't study at Ninja Academy's. This mouse, obviously, must be some student using the transformation technique! Of course, it all made perfect sense. His theory was further supported by the ten-year-old boy who was accompanying the creature. While this revelation didn't make him hate mice any less, the fact that he knew it was a human made it, at the very least, tolerable. Unfortunately, though it meant he couldn't smash the rodent. Oh well.

The Raiken tuned back into reality just as the mouse started talking to him, around the words 'Risk anything happening to you.' As the vermin kept talking, Karuto composed himself and stood up. So it seemed these two, and that woman by extension was in some sort of trouble. Or...were they the trouble?! He couldn't be sure- the whole thing was confusing. He needed some answers. Karuto held up a single finger to the two remaining academy student before him "Hold that thought" He said quickly before walking around the corner.

What Cashew and Sato would hear from the safety of their alley would be akin to something straight out of a cartoon. Karuto's voice would ring out, coming from around the corner and just out of sight "Excuse me my brightly clad compatriots, would you mind answering some questions for me about a man with swirly glasses, a bowl of curry, a talking mouse and some photographs?" Of course, this worked about as well as one might expect. The next sound the two would hear was a series of muffled thumps and a low, painful, groan. A few seconds later Karuto would walk back into the alleyway. He held one unconscious man over his shoulder, one unconscious under his arm, and one man, a very bruised cheek but still awake, being dragged by his collar. "They didn't seem very forthcoming" He explained "This village sure has some rude folks!" The Raiken threw them all into a heap next to the trash cans, dusting off his hands as he did so. Extending his arm and pointing towards both the group of ruffians and Cashew, he started talking again "Okay, both of you, explain what's going on"
