Kimiko had complemented Ariella's artistic ability. This was the first time someone had every said such a thing. Her parents condoned her exploration into the artistic world while others claimed it was unsightly since her clay figures would distroy things and became a danger. "Thank you Kimiko. Though, that drawing you choice had many flaw from what I could see. But as long as it appeals to you I suppose it will do. I do not see a reason for repayment however, but do as you like." Ariella was her own worst critic. Anything she created was never good enough. Nothing seems to appease her ever growing intrest for art and what is considered good art. Kimiko would then proceed with finishing up the mission by unboxing the items. Ariella no longer had any need to continue drawing so she gathered up her materials and placed them back into her bag.
Going into the back to finish up the stocking what was left in the boxes. She emptied out the last box and carried them back into the front of the store. Coming back to the front to see that Kimiko was deep in the world of the magazines. Ariella couldn't help but let out a soft smile, a real one, before going to the shelf that the materials she had needed to be placed on. Placing the last item on the shelf they had now completed their mission and all they had to do was wait for the owner to return. Ariella!' was heard as the small footsteps of the doll came running her direction. Apparently Kimiko wanted to know what tempura tasted like."Tempura? Well let's see. Many people like it. I personally don't find the dish very appiticing. But I can tell you that it's something called sushi and in comes in all different styles. Like tempura. If I remember correctly this variation of sushi is cooked instead of raw fish. She answered honestly. But then that sparked another question."Kimiko, are you able to eat and taste things?" Perhaps if she could Ariella could take to try some tempura. Soon enough the ownder had returned to the shop and Ariella would leave Kimiko for just a moment to greet him. Stepping out of the isle Ariella would face the man and bow."Welcome back. All items have been stored on the shelves. There has also been once purchse in your absence.""Oh thank you! This has helped out so much you have no idea! Here take a little extra on me" Ariella would wave in hands in a decline."No, no. There is no need for more generocity. Please keep your money. It would be unethical to accept.""Uh alright if you say so. Well I will be sure to put in a good word for you.""That would be greatly appreciated." Ariella would take off the apron and return it to the owner."Come on Kimiko, it is time to go. Let go see how our commission is doing."

"Flawed?" Kimiko asked to Ariella with a confused tone. "But why is it flawed? Does it not work like a body should?" Their curiosity knew no bounds and would likely lead the clay user into a series of questions once more. It was the curse of being a fish out water, knowing very little about the world that had changed so much since they had been buried under mud and clay for what felt like an eternity. When the doll had approached Ariella again with the picture of food, the little doll had held it up with a certain type of eagerness that it almost mirrored that of a child asking about something new to their immediate world. The description was a bit vague, but Kimiko did try and commit it to memory. "It does seem like it tastes good." she nodded her head in agreement before then being asked if they could taste. There was a moment of hesitation from the girl, but she would eventually shake her head from side to side. "We are not. We tried to eat when We had first come to this world while serving dinner to the royal family. We lack such function and have no need of it." Kimiko replied, "But We often wonder what it is like to eat. Many foods look nice, but We have no way to consume them." It was a fairly unhelpful answer in the grand scheme of things, but they were at least being honest with Ariella!
It wasn't long after that the man would return after they had finished restocking the shelves. Kimiko returned to Ariella's side, though lagged behind her to come to rest hiding partially behind her leg. After what the group of boys had said, they had been much more cautious around the humans of the town. The doll listened quiet and was surprised by Ariella's refusal of an extra tip due to their performance. They tilted their head but continued to tail behind the other girl, scurrying along behind her. "We are confused. Why did you refuse a gift that was offered to you? Most others would be happy to receive an extra reward." she asked while hovering besides Ariella, returning back to the puppetry shop from before.
"No no, the body should work fine." Ariella softly laughed a bit. Of course, Kimiko didn't know what she meant. A.) Because Kimiko is well Kimiko. and B.) Ariella is the one who drew the picture so she would notice things most people wouldn't."That flaws were merely cosmetic I assure you. It was just a strand of hair I drew out of place.....There's also the line on the dress that was too thick....And that cursed smudge on the corner of the paper....Maybe I should have changed the lighting on the nose." Her answer that was supposed to reassure Kimiko that the body would be fine slowly turned into a self-critique of her work. As usual her rant went a tad off the rails as she started to talk to herself at this point cupping her chin as she spoke about her thoughts.
When Ariella asked if Kimiko was able to taste things she was a bit disappointed in the answer. Ariella was hoping that maybe they could go out and get some and Kimiko could taste the tempura for herself. But without the ability to taste things or even the need to eat the act would just be pointless."Hmmm I see, well perhaps we should do something else you've always wanted to try. Something you can actually do and enjoy maybe?" There had to be something that Kimiko could enjoy or had interest in trying. But only Kimiko herself would know the answer to that question. There is also the possibility that Kimiko may have to discover new things in the this world in order to develop new interest.
As the pair made their way back to the puppet shop Kimiko had asked Ariella a question. She was confused as to why Ariella had refused the tip from the shop owner."Well Kimiko, the missions the village gives us is are brought to them by the very people we help. In exchange for the village resources, those people are charged a rate. As they continued to walk through the streets Ariella would weave through the crowd while also keeping an eye on Kimiko."The higher ranking the mission the higher the charge. The shinobi who take on those mission are given a portion of the commission. Sometimes people save up a long time in order to request help from the village even for the smallest things. By accepting that man's generosity can make our village look greedy or imply that tips are expected. If those people who struggle to come up with the money to even ask for help suddenly have to also provide an additional tip for us shinobi they may not ask for help at all.... That, and some people find tips to be insulting. So it's just best to avoid tips when it can be helped.
It wasn't long before the pair made it back to the shop. Ariella pushed open the door and the bell would ring, informing the keeper that someone has entered his shop. "Be right there!" He yelled from the back. Ariella made her way to the front of the store and with perfect timing she met the man there as he turned the corner."Ah, right okay I just finished it up. You know, you could have gave me the picture from the beginning ""Apoligise, one may never know when inspiration sparks. The best inspiration usually comes at unexpected times." The man just rolled his eyes a bit and went to the back to retrieve the puppet. With both arms the man cradled the puppet body like a child, after all it was child size. "You got the payment?""Yes of course." Ariella gave the man the money and turned to look at Kimiko."Well, Kimiko what do you think?"

That would be a hard question to do. Whatever could a wooden doll really want to do or experience that they could partake in? Kimiko thought to themselves for a moment, still sitting beside Ariella as the owner would return back from his break and the two were off once again. The haunted doll followed beside the clay user this time, her old and wooden body still in the midst of deteriorating. This trip back to the puppet maker would make it with plenty of time to spare, although it was odd feeling the sunlight hit the horrors that lied beneath their prison. How strange it felt, almost like skin in a way. The white haired tour guide turned owner was slowly growing on the doll, their head bobbing up to face Ariella as she went over the concept of village missions and things again. But what took her by surprise was the reason the tip was denied. It did strike them as confusing, but they nodded their head. "It confuses us, but We think that We understand. The people save up so much to ask for help that if We were to take their tips, it would make us begin to expect them, and cost them more. So We should not accept them then. Is that right?" Kimiko asked Ariella in a tone that was more reminiscent of a smaller person trying to emulate an older, more experienced one. It did match how apparent age more, or at least this personality of hers.
They arrived back at the puppet shop as the owner would be cradling the puppet of Ariella's design. Kimiko was pleased, though such a way of showing it was currently a bit hard to come by. She turned to the larger girl with another soft nod.
"We shall enjoy this new body." "Although not made of the finest wood of Our time, this shall provide a suitable body. " The older, more refined voice added in.
Kimiko pointed outside after poking Ariella paid for their body. "Um, We wish to transfer into this body in private. So that We do not alarm those nearby. Once it is done, We wish to help Ariella in return."
