Set safely within the far back district within the whole of Arashigakure, the healing huts seem quaint, especially as a group of buildings separated along several points along a rode behind a gated entry way, but they are no less impressive than the hospitals in any other shinobi world. Various different buildings lead to sometimes large and sometimes small underground complexes where the sick are healed and separated based on what is needed. A residency where those in recovery can do so in the face of the sun exists within the healing district. There is also an area dedicated to various different types of research and education effectively making this place Arashigakure's premier medical school, as it were.

Takumi moved back through the complex of small 'healing huts'. Towards the far back reaches of these building in a more slum like area he would slide open a door to a rather unimpressive exterior. The small, mediocre hut would reveal a trap door to an underground bunker. This underground bunker was once a private practice for a local medical facility. Now, the owner long since passed it was Takumi's personal space for research and study in the medical arts....as well as an operating room if needed. Takumi would review the medical techniques of the basic E Rank variety for the dark medical practices. From there he would examine the method for the dark medical body flicker, Thunder Hands, Exhaustion, Killing Hands, Allergen Creation and Neuralgia.

__ Kenshin entered one of the medical huts and was escorted to a room straight away. As a high ranking shinobi of the village with significant damage from his most recent battle, he was not forced to wait for long. After they examined him and set some pieces back into place he had to sleep in the hospital bed for hours and awoke after a fifteen-hour rest. The police officer was not accustomed to sleeping so much because of all-night patrols as well as his duties during the day. Normally he was able to function off of only four hours but after that battle, it was a different story. The healing chakra they used on him certainly worked to help him recover. Once he woke up in his hospital bed he left to take a shower and wash off the sweat and grime. In his private hospital room, he requested an ironing board and some starch so that he could meticulously prepare his uniform. After changing he sat on the foot of the bed and stared at the ceiling with an overwhelmed sensation after his conversation with the Arashikage. "He's wrong, my duty to the law is all I need to be happy. Happiness comes from being useful and performing my duties to the letter. A family would only get in the way of what's really important, my obligations to justice." He forcefully squeezed the railing of his hospital bed to release his stress. "I'm not worthy of love. There's only one who I could've..." In anguish, he jumped up from his seated position and walked towards the window. "Ada. It's been so many years, I know she's alive, she must be, but where is she?" As she stared out of the window he felt his byakugan relax until it finally deactivated. "I should've told her when I had the chance. No, no...I couldn't. I'm not worthy of a love like that." He gritted his teeth together as he remembered the lines of her face. "She's gone. And yet I close my eyes but she's still there. Lawful, strong, hardworking, kind...beautiful." Ada was someone Kenshin would have dedicated himself to every day and still never would have deserved her. "What am I thinking? Love is the death of duty. Why guard the law when I could be with her? Must I now begin to doubt? I never doubted all these years. She has stolen into my heart of stone and now it trembles. I love her." The lovelorn officer never knew suffering like this. This love cut deeper than any blade and he had done nothing but cultivate it in his heart for the past half decade. "No! I can't doubt now that I've risen so high. I must put everything into the righteous crusade, my life." With that, Kenshin stormed out of the hospital in pursuit of the next step.

A wizard is never late. Nor is he early; he arrives precisely when he means to, and ninjas are basically wizards so yeah. Kagerou arriving just on time for her shift at the hospital was bound to happen. She breezed in after running to and fro, not because she had a lot of places to run to. No, she just got a bit lost in this unfamiliar village. This whole concept of a sort of... almost... village-like healing district was certainly new to Kagerou, and the placement of all of their facilities underground... Well, she figured the experts who lived and worked here knew what they were doing. After all, ninja magic could solve all of those everyday nuisances of having to build extremely hygienic facilities underground in what is likely soggy earth. Regardless, such thoughts didn't really cross Kagerou's mind. She was no architect. She reported into the appropriate facility, once she found it, and was given her assignment.
Psychiatry. That was what Kagerou had registered her medical expertise as. Though, she'd noted that she was only a beginner, so there wasn't much expertise. Maybe the Arashikages already knew that she was holding back about her actual specialization in surgery, but she couldn't help telling that small lie in her initial forms. Back at her home, medical ninjas were only permitted to take up a second field of professional medicine after... well... They were basically made to be the exceptions. Instead of going through all those loops and hurdles, made more unsavory since it will all be with people she was unfamiliar with, Kagerou just listed herself as a budding psychiatrist. Nice and simple like that.
Kagerou's "assignment" was more or less just a room. It was compact and comfy. Something you'd expect to see given to a beginner, but still well-equipped. Well, more accurately, well-furnished. Psychiatry was the study of the brain, and at low levels like the one Kagerou was currently at, most of it was just giving the patient a comfortable environment and talking to them, which was why Kagerou rolled up her sleeves the moment she entered the room. She would be one of the assistants in charge of a preliminary screening of patients. They'd come into this room, talk with her a bit, and she'd give out a diagnosis. Though, maybe "diagnosis" was too strong of a word for it. Still, as little as her job may be, and there was nothing wrong with starting small, Kagerou had all intentions of working hard at it. That, of course, included with cleaning up her small room. Opening a window for a bit of fresh air would also be nice but... underground. Can't help that. [2/2; Purification]
Even after Kagerou finished cleaning, there was still a bit of time left before she was to receive her first patient. That was okay, she picked up the book she had found while rearranging a desk, one that she presumed the previous occupant of this room had left behind on mistake, and sat in the psychiatrist's armchair with it open in her lap. Kagerou read through the techniques, a light smile on her lips giving off the impression that she was thoroughly enjoying her study of the medical arts. This technique is not effective if, for some reason, the air passage is blocked. It does not provide oxygen or blood, it only forces air in and out of the lungs and makes the heart continue to beat. A C - ranked character is able to perform this technique on two patients at once if the need should arise. This technique requires that patients be unconscious and still before it will work. • Denkaishitsu Heikin [ Electrolyte Balance ] Rank: A Official Description: Electrolyte imbalance usually occurs due to dehydration, kidney failure, severe diarrhea, or vomiting. Even curing these four symptoms does not cure the imbalance, and requires appropriate steps to keep from remittance. Continuing to be imbalanced leads to heart and neurological activity severely being diminished. For the shinobi out in the field, the only way to balance a patient is to physically share one's own electrolytes, passing them through the hands. Guild Description: At A-rank, this technique will lower the user's electrolytes to a still-safe level, while raising the patient's own to out of immediate danger. At S+rank, this full balances the electrolytes between the user and the patient, which may result in nausea, imbalance, and lightheaded effects in the donor.
• Hone Chiyu no jutsu [ Bone Healer Skill ] Rank: A Official Description: A variation of Chiyute no jutsu. When an ally has broken or fractured a bone. The ideal way to use this technique is to prepare a concentrated calcium pill with medicine creation but in the absence of the pill it is possible to force the patient’s bones to release higher concentrations of calcium in to the body than normal. Using the extra calcium, Chiyute no Jutsu is activated, but uses less chakra since the user already has the calcium to work with, but will only work on bone tissue. It is important to remember that bones must be properly and often painfully set back in place before they are repaired. It is not possible to treat bones that have been shattered in to small pieces (comminuted fracture, or ‘What Gaara did to Lee’) with this technique. Guild Description: See the official description.
• Ninja Kigusuri Souzou [ Ninja Medicine Creation ] Rank: A Official Description: Ever wonder who exactly makes something like a soldier pill or a blood replenishment pill? The answer is a medical nin with extremely advanced knowledge of how to make medicine. With this skill a medical nin is able to create beneficial tools for allies and team mates using naturally occurring substances. Most medicines are closely guarded secrets in villages and in some cases they are only passed down directly from master to student. Unlike normal medicine creation, this technique is not possible ‘in the field’ and requires a medical nin to at least set up a makeshift medicine lab in order to create the desired medicine. • Shousen Jutsu [ Mystical Hand Technique ] Rank: A Official Description: This technique allows the ninja to heal wounds by focusing their own chakra to their hands. If the ninja is highly skilled, they are able to heal more critical injuries. Highly skilled medical-Nins such as Tsunade can use their techniques to perform surgeries that otherwise would not be possible. Guild Description: See the official description. • Zenji [ Recovery ] Rank: A Official Description: Regeneration of chakra and stamina whilst relaxing or sleeping is vital to recovery efforts. When these are shunted, the body and mind go astray. This jutsu re-enables Relaxation and Sleep regeneration in a target if for any reason such ability has been removed from them. Guild Description: See official description. Causes no discernible, immediate effect during battle.
• Kinniku Saichousei [ Muscle Realignment ]* Rank: B Official Description: Muscles, core to all movement and control in the body, can be repaired or sent to disarray with great ease. A leg treated with this technique can either restore the ability to walk, or completely obliterate its ability to do so. As the area of effect is small, touching is almost considered vital. Guild Description: Affects muscles within one hand's grasp. At S-rank, the volume of effect increases to two. Is permanent.
• Kinniku Shikan [ Muscle Relaxant ] Rank: D Official Description: This technique causes the muscles of an affected area to immediately cease being tense, and prevents them from gaining any further stress. Guild Description: At A-rank, this slows the target's speed and reaction abilities of the affected area by the same rank. At S+rank, complete paralysis of the affected area is possible. Lasts until an equal rank Healing Hands technique removes it.
• Kuchiyose: Eiseimono [ Summon: Medical Tools ]* Rank: C Official Description: This technique allows a medical nin to summon some of the tools of their trade. It is not practical to carry around mortar, pestle, and other tools but a scroll that can be used to summon these and other similar objects is both practical and convenient. A higher ranking nin can use this technique to summon more specialized and advanced tools for poison creation and ninja medicine creation but at this level it is only good for medicine creation. Guild Description: See the official description. One can only summon helpful medicine tools.
• Tenketsu Wakatsu [ Tenketsu Separation ] Rank: C Official Description: Useful almost entirely upon study of one's own Tenketsu placement, this allows for the user to poke the routes between Tenketsu, subtracting routes. Casting this jutsu envelopes both hands, with further non-eiseijutsu chakra usage forcefully turning it off. (excludes Stamina usage) Is permanent. Causes Tenketsu Rot in the long run. Guild Description: Mainly useful for warding away illusions from the body and mind, or separating chakra infections, it can also slow chakra or stamina usage to prevent Tenketsu Burnout. Hyuuga members can learn this without needing to be the Medical Class, and place this ninjutsu under their Clan Jutsu heading. Each retrained rank doubles the max number of possible separations.
• Chakra no Mesu [ Chakra Scalpel ]* Rank: B Official Description: A Ninjutsu technique used, primarily, for field surgery. The ninja concentrates a powerful aura of chakra around their hand, creating a blade capable of tearing through muscles and arteries, or breaking bone, without actually breaking the skin of the person they're using it on. This technique can also be used to repair the chakra system in a patient if for some reason it has been damaged. When used offensively, in combat, it is difficult to concentrate on the length and power of the scalpel, making it harder to successfully hit an enemy's arteries, ensuring a kill. Guild Description: See the official description. The offensive version of this is frequently cited as 'Chakra Enjintou [ Chakra Scalpel ]'. Retraining allows for greater or shorter lengths of the scalpel, up to & including a standard katana length.
• Shinkei Yokusei [ Nerve Suppression ] Rank: B Official Description: This technique shuts down the nerves in a local area, defined by where the med-nin places their hand, and by which ones are being targeted via rank. Guild Description: At B-rank, sensory/afferent nerves can be affected. At S-rank, motor/efferent nerves can be affected. At S+rank, both can be affected. • Tenketsu Fusagu [ Tenketsu Close ] Rank: A Official Description: Useful almost entirely upon study of one's own Tenketsu placement, this allows for the user to poke Tenketsu closed, if open. Casting this jutsu envelopes both hands, with further non-eiseijutsu chakra usage forcefully turning it off. (excludes Stamina usage) Missing Tenketsu during a poke subtracts the chakra from the entity being poked, thus allowing for one to practice without harm, if precautions are taken. Is permanent. Guild Description: Is good for closing 5 Tenketsu per hand, for a total of 10 max. Chakra subtracted during misses is an A-rank divided by how many fingers missed. (i.e. A/10) Hyuuga members can learn this without needing to be the Medical Class, and place this ninjutsu under their Clan Jutsu heading. Each retrained rank doubles the max number of possible pokes.
• Chakra Rissuru [ Chakra Regulation ]* Rank: A Official Description: Allows one to switch up, alter, or otherwise move around the numbers within the Chakra Regeneration guidelines, so long as the total remains the same. A perfect example of 'During Combat', 5 chakra and stamina is gained per post of no jutsu usage; This jutsu allows for the stamina regen to be place on the chakra regen instead, or vice-versa. Is permanent. Guild Description: The minimum regen in either field is 1. Causes both Tenketsu Burnout and Tenketsu Rot of the main nodes and pathways, beginning after 5 posts of continuous usage. Setting the numbers back to normal halts all effects.

Toso would seem to be standing in the hallway as a nurse was attempting to physically push him back and away but for the most part was lacking in the physical strength to do so as the squid man did not move. "Ah no, bloop you misunderstand. I'm here on business." The attempt at pushing increased as dust was being kicked up behind the nurse. "Business or no business, it ain't none of my business. We haven't gotten any word that you'd be coming henceforth you are to leave Mr.Tosokurui."
"Ah, truly what could I have possibly done to warrant this kind of treatment bloop. Aren't hospitals supposed to welcome all into their care bloop." Physically exhausted trying to move the abdominal wall that was Toso who was surprisingly more grounded than he looked the nurse would look to the counter secretary who adjusted her glasses as she began searching for something ."That's right but you clearly don't need any care Mr.Hojo...and as for what you've done." Suddenly a loud thwump on the secretaries counter a manilla folder that seemed stacked with papers, thus would begin the verbal railing of the squid as the nurse picked it up and began flipping through its contents.
"Five years ago, destruction of a medical facilities wall," "Ah that was actually my father blo.." "Same day tampering with medical records by covering their important information with cartoonish imagery and vulgar if not somewhat enticing boys love fiction of yourself and other villagers.. "My sist..." several accounts of compromising sterile work spaces with ink from your mouth.. "Ah, well I can't really contes..." "Since then, seven accounts of sexual harassment of nursing staff, three accounts of structural damage, four accounts of misuse of medical equipment, one account of obstruction of surgery, need I go on Mr.Hojo." "Ah no you've made your point bloop." Shutting the file and placing it back on the secretaries counter the nurse placed her hands on her hips. "Now then Mr.Tosokurui unless you've need of medical attention kindly leave the premises."
Somewhat disgruntled Toso knew that he'd seen a woman with green hair enter the facility. As such he needed to find her and so he would have to use his head to persuade this nurse to let him continue his search. "Ah, well I do actually, I, hm, ah yes, am In need of a psychological evaluation. Clearly if I've so many infractions there must be something wrong with me yes bloop." The nurses eyes narrowed in speculation. "Well I certainly wouldn't doubt that. Follow me. AND I DO MEAN FOLLOW ME." "Of course bloop." Toso would say subserviently behind his mask before being escorted to the room in which Kagerou was in before one last scolding from the nurse. "Now listen here Mr.Tosokurui I'm gonna be standing right outside this door. AND if she finds you mentally stable. You WILL leave post haste got it. YES, I said SHE, No funny business."
Toso would then enter the room and sit upon the provided chair. Green hair in front of him and a description that fit the twins and what he'd seen at the academy. "Ah, bloop you must be..." The nurse in the doorways nostrils flared as a brief moment of dread came across Toso. Right. He had to act the part or be evicted. "I'll leave you to it Kagerou. BUT. If he does ANYTHING. You just call. We'll have him outta here faster than a sneeze." The nurse would then close the door and proceed to do her own business, patient confidentiality and all that. Now that they were alone and that was said and done rather than actually speak up first Toso simply sighed.

In that first instant of meeting, Kagerou's immediate impression, drawn mostly from the looks the nurse gave, of her patient was that he was a known pervert. Well, that was putting it simply, and simple was often blunt and rude. Besides, just because someone was a pervert didn't mean that they were a bad person. Smiling at the patient, Kagerou drew more information, from his appearance to that small slip of the tongue he made, but now wasn't the time to showcase what she knew.
Kagerou directed her smile to the nurse and nodded in understanding. "Thank you for your concern, Mrs. Morris. I'll call immediately if I ever feel uncomfortable."
The nurse left then, leaving Kagerou to smile at Toso. It was a natural smile, but the pause itself was quite awkward. When Toso broke the silence with a sigh, Kagerou suggested, "You must be tired, why not take a seat?" as she motioned at the seat opposite of hers. It was an armchair like the one she sat in. There wasn't enough room in this small, diagnostic office for the stereotypical chaise longue so well known as a mainstay in psychiatrist offices. In the meantime, she set aside her book. "It sounds like you've had a difficult day. Would you like to talk about it?".

Everything up till now showed that he was hardly the lech he was being claimed to be. Until something made itself known, four things to be exact. Four tentacles made their presence known coming from his back their intentions unknown and certainly the mans face gave to clues.

Toso would stand back up and approach where he had placed his mask. "Perhaps this is another SUICIDE mission. bloop."shaking his head there was indeed something on the mans mind but he clearly didn't think it necessary to seek psychological help.

Kagerou smiled benignly. She was only slightly disappointed that this man hadn't played along for just a little longer, but it wasn't anything that could break her mood down over. She nodded and confirmed her identity even as she settled the final pieces for the identity of the male before her. Tosokurui Ashi Hojo. Appearances aside, he was most certainly a pervert... if rumors were to be believed. Of course, "creep" and "stalker" were also descriptors often thrown in, but Kagerou found them less believable to an extent that she didn't take it much heed. Public opinion aside, he was an impressive chef and the owner of a restaurant that quadrupled as art gallery, community center, and his home. In truth, that last part was the reason why there were so much stray information about him floating through the crowds and markets in the first place.
Looking much like a psychiatrist, Kagerou smiled, nodded, and took notes through Toso's explanation. If the strange speech habit fazed her, it didn't show. She gave those open, attentive glances every now and then from her notes, the kind that assured the other party that she was listening closely. The glances also made no attempt to hide when they zeroed in on the tentacles that suddenly appeared. They weren't like Jiongu tendrils, or at least the ones Kageoru was used to. However, the two basically encompassed the same concept. When Toso turned, Kagerou's glance turned into a gaze that followed his movements. Her head tilted and her body leaned to the side so she could get a look at his back where she found no trace of any sort of pet, so these appendages were coming directly from the man.
Toso's mission was to retrieve Kagerou and teach her the sealing technique. Kagerou thought on this fact for a little bit, chewing on the tip of her pen. <'planning an offensive and intended sealing.'> There was presumably some sort of schedule to adhere to, but Kagerou thought that they had time. She put her pen back to paper and, while remaining seated, asked, "Well, it's certainly nice to meet you Mr... Hojo, I presume? Your reputation precedes you. Could you explain what you mean? I mean, about the very last thing you said about your mission. Why is it that you feel that way about your mission?".

He'd turn to face Kagerou once more to make the conversation more genuine. "Raised on those beliefs, god or not, bloop immense power is still immense power. bloop. You understand. bloop."
Fear had culminated in the squid man, as someone who these last five years striven for communal and cultural growth rather than the pursuit of power it would make sense that he was doubtful of himself. Kagerou would then notice the tentacles of which she had concluded were actually part of his body begin to move. They shook, not unlike that of someone in a cold room. There was so much on the mans mind though nothing of it showed on his face but now maybe, just maybe it showed somewhere else on his person. Had he chosen the right path in life, if it was happiness that decided this, then he was certainly in a state that sat on the line, was he happy, was he simply forcing himself to accept things as they came, had he surrendered individuality in favor of convenience. The man looked at his wedding band, forlorn, but not in his face but in his eyes, if not for just a brief moment before becoming indiscernible once more. Could he truly live up to these expectations that came with his title. On the subject of title Toso couldn't help but bring something up. Essentially reversing the tables of client professor.
"I wonder what reputation is preceding me bloop. I'm certain you came to the conclusion before hand I'm some perverse despot bloop. There's no need to hide that assumption." Toso adjusted his glasses to where in the glare hide his eyes for the moment. Suddenly the air the room grew exceptionally heavy, as if the room were painted black and purple, as if the lowest key on a piano was struck, as if the very room itself was shrinking. The mans tentacles moved in a unsettling wave like motion not much different to a perverted man doing that thing with his fingers, not the grope hands but the beckoning 'come here, I'm gonna getcha hands' Then he spoke in a manner that seemed distant but audible. "Sometimes I truly wonder what would happen if I truly indulged in that label I've been given...same." The mans bloop instead replaced with him saying shark. The tentacles then withdrew themselves back into his body and with them the air of the room returning to what it once was.
"Ah," returning to his usual demeanor as he tried to recall what it was they should be doing. "Was that a satisfactory answer bloop, or shall we continue to chat before the selected gather, I've a sizable list of fetishes we could discuss bloop, most of which I don't personally have but find intriguing, perhaps an outside perspective as to whether finding them intriguing is a good or bad thing bloop. A proposal made in jest but at the same time seemed in earnest, it was difficult to tell, his noodly emotional tells were gone and his face and voice were back to the same monotonous tones. Why was Toso seemingly versed in such a subject if he wasn't anything short of a pervert. Why, to try and get a lock on his own sexuality of course. Which so far to this point has come to taking the path of asexuality, in which he now seemed significantly certain was how he felt in regards to the subject. There was a break in Kagerou notes where she simply sat back and watched, hands clasped neatly in her lap. Her body remained still, save for her eyes, which moved their way slowly across Toso's various emotional cues and signals: his shivering tentacles, the look in his eyes as he stared upon his ring, the timing of his speech, the cadence in his voice, the means by which the inscrutable mask left to unveil and returned to veil his face. Despite her best efforts, she still found him difficult. No, not in mannerisms. Just difficult to read, what with his blank face and... She wasn't sure, but she suspected some burden placed upon him by a history she had yet no idea of.
To Kagerou, it almost seemed like Toso had released the burden upon himself and spread it across the room when a mere shift in his presence brought upon a heaviness in the air. It was just a pressure in the air, and yet Kagerou could almost hear the vibrating tones of a grand organ. She caught herself wondering why the room was so brightly colored under this feeling. The tentacles matched her suspicions, .
In the face of danger, Kagerou's senses naturally heightened. Of course the hair on her skin stood on end. It was a matter of course that while her body, well-trained by her uncle, did not move, her mind had already begun remembering how best to attack or defend from her currently, seemingly laid-back posture.
However, what she chose to do on purpose was to go against all of that and close her eyes. With the unfaltering smile gracing her features, she looked perfectly in peace despite the air of her current circumstances. It wasn't just that she had experienced worse. She decided to trust Toso to not harm her for this and that reason. He had spoken and planned ahead thoughtfully up until now. Would he truly be so impulsive as to bring everything he had worked so hard for down because of some small comment said in the heat of the moment? Kagerou's gut, in that moment, told her "no," and she was impulsive enough to follow her gut instinct. Although, she preferred to think of it as giving Toso a chance. Predicting that the worst case scenario was being groped, Kagerou would prefer to handle that once contact had been made, anyways.
By the time Kagerou reopened her eyes, the telling tentacles had disappeared, the atmosphere was back to normal, and Toso had tossed at her a completely bizarre question, one that Kagerou took in perfectly unperturbed stride. She couldn't empathize, but she could sympathize.
"That was indeed a satisfactory answer, Mr. Hojo. Thank you. I was hoping I could help you, but I guess I was getting ahead of myself. How you handle what you represent, to your people and the general public, is a decision only you can make. Following a decision made by another... you may as well be wearing another mask.
"If you don't mind my input, however... I think the current matter of the sealing of the Gyuuki is something unavoidable, and precisely because this could be a suicide mission, it is the duty of us shinobi to handle the matter with the eight tails."
Red eyes fixated on gray eyes as Kagerou spoke, searching for the faintest traces in emotions within the monochrome orbs. However, once she finished talking, the same eyes shifted down to the notepad in front of her. She busied herself with writing down some notes, yet even though she had fallen silent, there was this air about her that remained reminiscent of lingering words. She had more to say.
Kagerou continued to jot down notes for some time, but after a pause of silence, she began speaking as she wrote. "I suppose I should add one more thing considering the state of your choices. You should choose for yourself, but do remain mindful of the consequences if you become a public nuisance." Kagerou's pen stopped for half a second, during which her eyes gained a faraway look, seeing past the paper that they looked towards. Then it was gone and her gaze was refocused on her restarted writing. "You know, once upon a time, I knew someone very honest, one might even have called him pure in some ways despite the sexual nature of his intentions." There was a dramatic pause. What about this implied pervert? Was Kagerou going to say something sappy and nostalgic? Was she going to point out some great trait that made the pervert a good persion? "I threatened to burn all of the r-18 magazines he had hidden around the village if he continued to be a public nuisance to the marriageable women and girls of Kirigakure." Ah... Apparently not. Between the gaze focused on the paper rather than Toso and the ever calm way she had of speaking, it was really hard to make out Kagerou's intent behind this small tale. Was this a threat? A warning? A declaration of challenge? Maybe she was just mentioning this friend because Toso reminded her of him?
It really did seem like it could have simply been small talk to fill in the spare time because Kagerou finished the note she was writing when she finished her short story. She walked over to the squid man and held out this note to him. To explain, "I've written you down for a mild case of Tourette Syndrome. Nothing severe enough to warrant further diagnosis, much less treatment, but you'll at least be able to pass the front desk of this ward with much less difficulty next time. Consider this a second chance... please don't make me regret this."
Then Kagerou walked away and the topic changed. "I think... you would actually prefer to be able to do your job?". It was a guess and the uncertainty traveled clearly in Kagerou's voice. "Though, I would love to have a chance to chat with you again, preferably with your tentacles out. They're much easier to read than your face." Upon her return, Kagerou spread a stack of large, blank sheets of paper upon the coffee table between the two chairs. If these were tedious to learn techniques that would benefit from the kage's guidance, then Kagerou assumed that it was best to learn it in the private of this room rather than in the public environment of the academy. "As long as you don't mind, I'm ready to learn the techniques and about any other details you can give me about this mission."

Toso wasn't truly vested in the medical field so as to what Tourette Syndrome was seemed to go over his head, but by the sounds of Kagerou's voice it was being diagnosed as a favor as oppose to a real diagnosis so the squid man would take that as a discreet way of compliment despite the backhanded mention of possible regrets. Grabbing the notebook in a single sign a bright light emanated form the mans coat as what occurred after was almost akin to the garment eating it as it vanished within the sleeve as though absorbed into another plane of existence. "Perhaps you'll introduce me to this former public nuisance some time bloop." Toso rather than feel threatened was only intrigued by Kagerou's tale of such a person and that she would go through such lengths for a single individual. Judging by Kagerou's behaviour thereafter and what she said next it implied she desired to learn the technique here in the confines of the office. Perhaps that was for the best and going back to the academy again would have proved tedious if then some. Toso decided to walk back to the chair opposite of Kagerou as she was preparing her work space for the likely difficult inscriptions she would need to practice. Something in which Toso had an advantage in with his artistic nature was reproducing the shapes and intricacies for proper seals, it was the molding of the chakra to actually maintain them, that was the difficult part for him. His upbringing not being that of a ninja made actual ninjutsu harder for him to produce unless they involved ink, truly it was more so due to his devotion to ink that those techniques came simpler.
Then in a similar fashion, once he was certain Kagerou was ready, in the same method in which he had stored the notebook with the diagnosis he produced the tightly bound scroll. A white light emanating from his sleeve as the scroll in question poofed into his palm. Placing it on the table Toso would then place one leg over the other not unlike a professor or a girl trying to hide her undergarments when wearing a skirt. "The contents of the scroll that the Kage wishes us to review are the Fuuin no Kagi [ Key to the Seal ] and the Hakke no Fuuin Shiki [ Eight Divination Signs Seal Style ] seals. They mentioned requiring iron rods although I don't see them as a necessary component bloop, we can collect them at the academy for securities sake bloop. Combining the two seals will produce an incredibly powerful seal perhaps maybe too powerful, but the kage is likely not taking any chances for a possible failure of the sealing bloop. After all he intends to split the Gyuki into its yin half and its yang half bloop. Likely that is when we come into play, one of us will likely take it upon themselves to seal the ying half bloop, the other the yang half. bloop. Toso crossed his arms and leaned back into the chair with the same expressionless face. He spoke in the same manner as he did during his classes with a conciseness yet still the occasional bloop. "If you've any struggle I'll assist to the best of my ability, though it would be best you learn this post haste as the offensive is scheduled within an hour or so from now. bloop." Despite his monotonous voice it was almost starting to sound demeaning. Though it wasn't the squid mans intention. It was simply the way he spoke.
Whilst Kagerou would review the contents of the scroll and the multiple sealing methods used to detain tailed beasts Toso's folded arms shifted to his hands. The sleeves of his coat sliding down what appeared to be ink was forming around his finger tips. Then in these lax moments the man would begin to draw as the design remained in the air, in place, as though the very world itself was a canvas. It was mesmerizing in a sense how the ink remained afloat defying gravity but what was actually more mesmerizing if you can call it that was what the squid man was drawing. It was, currently, though seemingly unfinished, unmistakably, a phallus. Toso's face was though still hard to read seemed for the moment relaxed as he continued to draw whilst Kagerou would cram as much as she could in the quickest amount of time.

The only response in regards to her old friend was a little smile. Possibly a bit sad? It was hard to tell when it lasted for only so long before business needed to be attended to.
"Generally, seals such as these involve the use of certain fetishes to create a desired variation of effect," Kagerou commented as she unrolled each scroll and took a first look. Her smile froze, however, at the mention of the time limit. One... hour?... As of right now, she was clearly looking at perhaps the most complicated techniques she'd ever seen. These weren't just techniques she learned because the kage wanted her to. These were literally techniques she wouldn't have access to without either the permission of a kage or theft. Techniques of this level... and she was expected to learn them in an hour. Not just learn them, but also complete any other preparations she had to make before participating in a demon sealing.
Well, if she had to look for the silver lining...
Kagerou had to take a step back from her work. Not exactly to bring everything into perspective, but to give herself some space. Her hands flashed through some hand seals and suddenly there were two more Kagerou's. Their voices overlapped.
"I'll study the technical details of the seal."
"I'll start practicing the writing part."
"Ah, lemme take one of the big pages so I can cut it up and make some seals out of it after I tell the front desk about what's going on."
Thus, the tasks were split between the three versions.
An artist, Kagerou was not, and that much became obvious in the way she set upon learning the seal. Even the version of her that sat down to copy the seal out took a technical approach, muttering out the various purposes of each component of the seal as she drew them out. When there was a part she was uncertain of, she'd steal a quick glance at the technical instructions of the seal that the other Kagerou focused on. Practice, Practice, so much practice. Just all of it. The other side, despite dealing with the part that Kagerou had an easier time with, had to work equally hard. There were components in these seals that Kagerou had never used before. Though, she had been studious enough to read about them. Still, it was as Toso had expected, to learn something of this caliber was by no means easy for Kagerou. Her specialty in sealing wasn't something that had been born out of talent or prodigy. It was like her relationship with medicine, a specialty she desired even though it was not to her best strengths. Still, she'd managed before. She was bright enough to manage now. The third Kagerou, the original, joined in with the learning once she'd finished writing out and sorting several batches of seals. She leaned over the shoulder of the Kagerou studying the technical aspects of the seal, one hand moving as she practiced molding the various chakra forms. Sometimes, she'd use both hands at particularly difficult junctions. In time, after a whole 45 minutes, Kagerou felt like she got the gist of it. The clones were dispelled, carrying their knowledge into her, and Kagerou fell back into the armchair in a mix of completion and mental exhaustion. Cramming. Sucked. At the same time, though, even when cramming, she had an awfully calm air about her, an air that carried through even after she saw what Toso had been doing while she studied. Though, she was certainly rather... baffled. "Mr. Hojo..." Kagerou was at a loss for words. Fifteen minutes, though. They only had fifteen minutes. "Please clean up your phallic drawings. I'm as ready as I can be for this mission."

The user then activates the seal; the first activation costs 360 Chakra and is used to assign a key to a seal. All subsequent activations for the purpose of altering a seal’s strength cost 80 Chakra. Without so much as waiting for an answer the man had already begun forming something akin to a tunnel made of ink as he began stepping inside as though it were some sort of portal. "I'll see you there, keep the scroll for now, bloop." Then he was gone sucked into the blackness of the tunnel before it vanished in a puff of smoke. Should Kagerou have attempted to follow him into the portal she'd find it was just a floating mass of ink and nothing else. The question was where was he going if not to collect the iron rods. On top of was there really time to be thinking about such things when Toso seemed to drop the ball of collecting them in the assumed minimal time frame she was given. It seemed he'd forgotten others can't simply travel significant distances so easily...Well they could. But even Shunsin had its limits.

There was a lot that went on with Kagerou then and there but the gist of it was that she sighed, collected everything she needed, and left to do her part of the job.
