His departure from the Temple was free of escort since the trial was passed, out Zahara walked with a skeptimist wonder and with clarity. During the trial, he learned of the recent happenings in the village during an exchange with Kya and now he was seeing it all first hand. A demon was let out loose upon the village from what he gathered both from the vision he received and word in town while he learned of foreign foes made their little fun through the village. Part of him deeply regretted on having missed the opportunity to attempt to tackle such a worthy opponent such as the demon, yet he felt more annoyed upon memory of the nine tailed beast as well. He paid respects to those lost during the events before he would arrive to the hospital to treat his own injuries.
But he was there at the Hospital for ulterior motives as he moved through the hallways with his cloak flowing with each step, searching for the woman who lead the village. Chie. He had himself treated for a few minor scrapes yet before hand he had a shadow clone made before then whom was currently roaming the hospital halls who was transformed as one of the staff. Abruptly one of the hospital staff would step into the room that Chie and others occupied as they would bow briefly. "Forgive the intrusion," the man would say as the guise would drop its facade as chakra leaked off of the man to reveal his true form of a scarred male with black hair, Zahara. "Kya's trials were passed, additionally she's sent this one's host to become a Serpent Caller." The message was quick, brief as to not take up everyone's time.
"Pleased to see you again my lady Chie, Zahara's in room 27-B for minor injuries. Ta ta for now.~" The clone spoke in third person as Zahara's wide smirk broke the stoic face for just a moment with a twirl as he stepped away as if to leave and the with a sudden puff, chaka dissipated from where it was, its purpose complete.
The very moment that he was awake, Charvalla was upon him, her hands gripping the foot of his bed as she leaned over the edge to get a better look at him. "!Michi! You live!" she called to him, happy to see it. She'd been worried about him the entire time they were helping him here, and completely unaware to the drama unfolding in the world at large, this was probably the most important thing in her mind right now. Her only "friend" as far as she could call him that had almost expired right before her eyes, losing so much blood in the water...
If not for her upbringing she might have cried or panicked... but her people were pretty much the most ruthless and rough this side of the planet so it wasn't like she wasn't used to gruesome wounds. Hell, the M'langi Water Serpents were much more violent than anything she had yet seen since making landfall here. They could take your arm clean off with a flap of their tails or if you caught their fins wrong. She'd lost more than a few childhood acquaintances to sudden shipwrecks and seamonsters.
She didn't fancy losing any more, but such is life. "Next time, try not to get stabbed you goof," she chided walking around to pat him on his hand smiling with genuine relief clear in her face.

Once again, the woman was leveled by the amount of praise she was receiving. Was it really that against the norm to help people when they needed help? Sonyo's face flushed a pinkish hue and she bowed back to Chie, a deep and respectful bow despite how tired she was. Maybe she'd go and get some food, it had been a while since she had eaten. "Of course, Lady Uzukage." She replied to Chie's offer for her to leave. "Should you need me, I'll always be available to the village housing so much of my family." Sonyo gave a bow to Karuto, then prompty left, the flush still on her face.
Uzushiogakure was weird.

Karuto was about to insist that Sonyo was, indeed, worthy of his admiration when Chie Saegahara entered into his room. She addressed Ms. Rue first, informed her that while she was apparently a neutral ninja she was now officiall a friend of the village. He wasn't exactly sure what she was trying to say- perhaps offer the same sentiment that Karuto had been in a more roundabout way. Chie had a habit of not saying what needed to be said and beating around the bush in his experience so the action was pretty par for her course. Karuto shifted his weight off his injured leg, and rolled the shoulder of the arm which still remained in a sling. Despite Sonyo's best efforts she couldn't fix 100% of his injuries...it would be up to time to do that.
When it became apparent that Chie was intent on speaking to him, Karuto's visage perceivably darkened. He did not care for the woman truth be told- he knew that she was protective of the village but he did not think the Uzukage understood those that she led. The last time they spoke she questioned his drive before admonishing him like a child, so it was safe to say the Raiken wasn't keen to speak to her longer than necessary. He kept his eyes locked onto hers, waiting for her to say whatever she felt necessary to say.
Chie thanked the woman as she left. Her eyes shifted back to Karuto. "Karuto Raiken, there's quite a lot to discuss." She said solemnly. "Before we talk about the past, I want to discuss the present." Her tone wasn't as harsh as it usually was. There was an uncertain nature to it which wasn't typical of her. "Saiko has returned from his mission in the land of wind. He apparently has the groundwork necessary to rebuild Sunagakure into a military nation." She said. She knew this would have an impact upon the former suna ninja, so she waited a moment for him to absorb his words. When she was sure he was ready, she continued. "In order to get the village re-vitalized into this new world, he would need the resources of Uzu. At this moment, I denied his request since our priority must first be securing the well being of Uzushiogakure. Saiko did not take this as well as I hoped, but he knows that my word has merit, and that when the option is plausible that Uzushiogakure will assist Suna in becoming a revolutionized village." Now that she laid out the groundwork of the topic, she approached the exact question she needed to ask. "When Uzu assist the remaking of Suna, will you return to Suna with Saiko? Your efforts in raising shinobi in Uzu, as well as raising morale in the arena, have been appreciated. However, I recognize a ninja's love to their home village. Therefore, I wanted to confront you directly about whether or not you intended on going back to Suna once it became a nation." Since this was going to be a reality, Chie owed it to all of her former Suna residents to to ask them if they decided to stay within Uzu. There was no animosity in the way she asked. Her heart belonged to Uzushiogakure, but respected that others, like Saiko, loved their home. Therefore, it was her duty to inspect this for herself.

To teach that people are only as strong as the bonds the have and to be that bond between two villages" He was level-headed and serious- a definite departure from his normal attitude. Karuto, it seemed, would be a Whirlpol Shinobi for the rest of his days.

Although at one point in history it was rare for someone to have a bloodline, now it seems as though the opposite is true." She chuckled slightly. She seemed more off guard than she has previously. "It was for this reason that I felt a sense of companionship with you. Ever since the day I mistook you for a ninjutsu ninja way back in Konoha." She said, recalling the first time the two of them have ever met. Chie's body language then returned to that befitting of a leader. "Now then. Since your loyalties remain to Uzu, I am afraid I have to burden you with a task." She declared sharply. Her words had more gravity than previously. "Koutetsu has become the five tailed demon host. I recognize that you bravely stood against the demon which resides within him, but I ask that you hold any bias you may have for the demon at bay so that you may train the young man to become the strongest ninja in the village." Chie did not want to mince words on this topic. The urgency was far too serious. "Koutetsu was initially my student in the academy, and my reports have shown that you have helped him in his development as a genin. To survive the sealing of a demon shows great force of will on his part. However, his talents are not yet defined. Therefore, if Uzu is to stand a chance as a warring nation, we need him trained as efficiently and quickly as possible. For this mission, you are granted sovereignty to perform whatever ranked missions you need, whenever you need to. You are also given permission to create missions for the boy and have them christened as official decrees." She listed. "Furthermore, I will also be around to assist if necessary. However, we need to prepare him for the real world. I have currently demoted him from shinobi duties until he has recovered, but I grant you permission to have him resume his rank. It is imperative that he is able to survive in this world. And I ask that you resume his duties as his mentor." Chie finished her request and waited for Karuto to respond. It was a lot to ask, but she hoped he was up for the task.

Karuto listened to Chie's words attentively, nodding as she spoke. His beard seemed to crinkle as his jaw set and mouth formed a tine light- a sign the Raiken was in deep thought. Once the Uzukage finished speaking the silence hung between them for a moment as neither one moved nor spoke. Without a warning, Karuto used his one good hand, grabbed the bottom of his shirt and pulled it up over his head and free of his injured arm. What Karuto revealed to the Uzukage was his bare chest and the tapestry of marks contained therein. Scars adorned his body, a result of the years of hard training that built the near-perfect physique that was now on display to the woman. However, that really caught the eye were the tattoos the decorated the man's broad chest and extended onto his limb.
On his right pectoral was a blazing hearth wreathed in flames over his left pec a fierce tidal wave crashing against a shore. From each of these designs intricate and winding patterns extended over onto his shoulder and twirled down his arms. Over on the left side of his abdomen, where one of his kidneys would be, lay a trio of musical notes seemingly floating on the wind. Over his other kidney, a thundercloud belted out zig-zagging lightning bolts. Finally, in the center of his chest encircling his naval was a design of twirling an spinning air circled around the Kanji for "Fighter"
Karuto lay a palm over the word and spoke lowly to the woman "When I was younger I wanted to be the best Martial Artist in the world- to be able to beat any opponent that faced me. But...it wasn't long before I saw my fill of battle. You remember how it was back then- conflict was never far. I began to question why I fought- why did the Sand Village get into these squabbles with people who didn't want blood any more than I did?" The palm tightened into a fist "So I set out. To learn of the world. To understand it and the people that made it up through the one way I knew best- fighting." He touched each point on his body as he continued to talk "I traveled to each of the original temples in the world and learned at the feet of the masters- studying each of the Five Great Nations' Taijutsu Styles from their original practitioners and immersing myself in their culture. I came to have a greater understanding of others through it and grew in both my wisdom and my strength. It allowed me to become a citizen of the world as the masters said- a point of view which has helped me to see common ground and similarities with those I used to only find grievance with." He sighed, rolling his shoulders as he let his hand drop to his side and his gaze return to Chie "I will train to boy- but I will not be able to do it here. I must teach him of the world as I learned myself- to make him a citizen of the world and teach him how to become a symbol of peace""
Chie allowed the silence to linger while Karuto pondered. She was surprised when the man moved suddenly. She observed and admired the tattoos he had. Had their relationship been on different settings, Chie could see herself appreciating the artistry that was Karuto's body. However, as his boss, it would be unprofessional for her to admit any fascination with his physical form. Furthermore, the man's words caused the leader to harbor great anxiety.
"I would lecture you about how detrimental it would be to take a ninja, especially one which harbors one of the worlds strongest entities, out of the village without at least a party of supervision." She said with closed eyes. The woman then let out a heavy sigh. "However, far be it from me to stop you and what you perceive to be the proper way to educate the boy. If it worked with you, then I have to allow it to have a chance to work with you. Plus, since you have confirmed your loyalty with Uzushiogakure, it's not like I have to worry about you and him fleeing to the rogue life." Her eyes opened and returned to locking with Karuto's masculine gaze. "Very well, you have full permission to carry out the plan which you wish to enact. All that I ask is that you keep contact with Uzushiogakure. We will need all operatives in case the war with Kogarashi goes full nuclear." She said with released tension. She trusted Karuto to do what was needed for Uzu, even if it wasn't what she needed for herself. It was for this reason that she trusted the man, to an extent that she wouldn't trust another shinobi who asked of this task.

Due to the greater understanding of the self, the user is more aware of the connection between their mind, body and spirit, and how to utilize that connection. With her approval, Karuto simply nodded, donned his shirt and walked past the woman. Once he stood in the opened doorway he paused and looked back to Chie "I'll stay in touch. Thank you, Chie" And with that he stepped into the hallway, around the corner, and set off towards the Dojo. He needed to train by himself for a bit before seeking out Koutetsu.

As Tom was tended to, Kenny reserved himself to stand in the back of the room. He was still very aware that he did not know the two of them very well and was obviously the outsider of the bunch. He let Tom and Char have their moment while he stepped outside and waited in the hallways. He knew eventually he would have to report to someone why a bunch of Academy Students had participated in the Kogarashi attack but he hoped they would look on his actions with favorability. Thankfully a nurse had bandaged Kenny's own wounds, so until Tom got better it seemed he would be waiting around here.

Chie made a shadow clone to return to the office. There had to be someone to watch that pile of rubble. Meanwhile, the real one wanted to check on the rest of the hospital. These were her people, and it was imperative for her to understand the damage that befell them. She found herself moving along when a boy waiting outside. The young man had bandages on him which meant that he was recently patched up. "Was my academy also attacked?" She said as she approached. She did not enter the room with the other two but instead chose to mildly interrogate the one outside. She hoped that the boy would know her by reputation, but was ready to respond in kind to any response he gave. After all, she had a weakness for academy students.

--- Her emotions were still in debate of which should survive beyond all others but Sadayo thought she'd ought to be beaten into submission before completely showing any. Saiko left the room first and did just as the puppeteer hoped and noticed her. When her sights met with his eye, the girl tilted her head upward a bit and waited to see if he'd speak. He did. Moreover, his offer to speak interested her and Sadayo allowed the raise of a single brow to show such intrigue. She humored the latter truth she agreed with a response. "I should hope so. I spent five grueling months getting here on top of what time i've sunk into this island. I'm not looking to copy that journey again to who-knows-where." Sadayo concluded that her business was over in the hospital. She had ideas that needed hammering out and a certain somethings were desired.

He had his head down, daydreaming and resting when someone seemed to ask something about the Academy being attacked? Something like that he wasn't really listening. Without picking his head up, Kenny responded and waved his hand in a circle dismissively "Yeah, but we handled it. Tom and I caught a knife for it though- no biggie" Looking up he realized it was, in fact, a small pink haired woman who had addressed him, unfortunately, Kenny had no idea who she was, only that she seemed to be interested in what was going on right now.

Pain shot through his arm with his eyes aching with the encroaching headache. The downside to his kekkei genkai was always the side effects that followed from extended use, more so from the genjutsu use Kya had put him through and the mental exhaustion. He sat at the edge of the hospital bed as the doctor did the final check ups before he was able to leave. Information relayed back to him to know that Chie was present in the office now, his clone having dispersed itself just then. A handy technique he thought with a smirk while the doctor's voice droned on and he fazed him out.
Zahara looked down at both of his hands as the assessment was given to him. It was the usual, take antibiotics and pain killers to ease the healing process. The left arm still ached even from years ago when he had it replaced, the scars made hidden by fresh silk wrappings while he pulled the metal gauntlet back over his right with a familiar grasp. "So the same as usual. What about my eyes, how long will they last?" Zahara asked the doctor as he examined his hands.
The doctor flipped a page on the clipboard, writing in the data before they answered. "You should be fine as long as you don't overuse it. Your cells don't reject your arm either, but the aches are to be expected. You were not born with the body of a Bakuton user except for that arm."
Zahara nodded as he confirmed that he understood. "Right." He got up to his feet now as he pulled his jacket on, straightening his clothes and thanked the doctor. "I've got to report to the Kage now. I'll be back later this week for check ups, thanks again for looking me over after what happened earlier. I've not been a fan of illusions as of late."
