Chie smiled flirtatiously when Masato bowed to her as her hand moved to cover her mouth in a coy manner. While he certainly didn’t look it, he appeared to be quite the gentleman. Her smiled faded and her arms lowered when she focused on the mission. β€œLet’s head back to Caldera Lake. That’s probably our best bet to find a lead.” The young woman stated. She decided to lead the way as she exited the hospital.

__ Tetsuhiko nodded to both of them and was so blinded with rage that he simply began to walk out of the hospital in a huff and towards the Caldera as suggested by Chie.

Saiko walked into the hospital to check in with the receptionist. The man grabbed a list of patients from her. It seemed he would be doing general work today. He didn’t mind much since the last time he was here he had to deal with so much. The first patient was a young man who was complaining of symptoms that were the same as the common cold as well as a sore throat. Saiko walked into the room and introduced himself as the person that would be helping the young man. After a quick introduction, Saiko went about checking the man’s vitals. Everything seemed to be normal except for a fever. After checking his vitals, Saiko grabbed a wooden stick and asked the man to open his mouth. Once it was open, Saiko pressed the stick against the man’s tongue to hold it down while he looked so the tongue wasn’t in the way. The man’s throat was indeed red which signaled to Saiko that he likely had a case of strep throat or some sort of bacterial infection.

After determining what was likely the main cause of the symptoms, Saiko grabbed a cotton swab. With the swab he would get a sample of the man’s saliva and place it in a tube. ”Just relax, I’ll be back in a bit with the results from the test.” Saiko would say to the man before leaving the room. The tube containing the swab of saliva would immediately go to a nurse, so she could send it to the lab for testing. Saiko would move onto the next patient so that he wouldn’t be wasting time with waiting for the lab results. The next room had another man who was probably in his mid-forties. The symptoms he complained of had to do with his ankle hurting. He believed that he had broken it when he was at work and fell down some stairs. Saiko examined the man’s ankle, feeling out where the pain was coming from for the most part. From what Saiko could tell, it was just a sprain but, he would have to order an X-Ray anyways for the man. The man would be brought to a room with an X-ray machine by Saiko. However, Saiko would ask a nurse to conduct the test so he could continue with other patients.

The man went to a third patient’s room to check on them. There was a woman in this room who seemed rather upset. ”I’ve been waiting for hours.” The woman said to Saiko without hiding the attitude she was giving him. ”I apologize ma’am. What seems to be the problem today?” Saiko would say to the woman before getting her symptoms. The woman was complaining about headaches that she was getting. Saiko would listen to her for a bit before suggesting that she take some low-grade pain killers to get rid of the headaches. The man would also suggest that she try to stay away from bright lights and loud sounds while she had a headache. The woman complained saying she had been to the doctor before for the problem and no one wanted to help her. Saiko would nod along as she spoke to show tat he was listening to her. Once she was finished speaking he would refer her to neurologist so that she could get the proper care that she needed. Saiko honestly just wanted to get her out of there because of the way she was acting.

Once the referral was made, Saiko went back to the nurse to see if she had gotten the lab results back yet. Unfortunately, they hadn’t come back yet so, Saiko moved onto the next patient. It was a young child with his parents. The parents spoke for the child mostly, telling Saiko that he had a constant ear ache that wouldn’t go away. Saiko nodded and grabbed a microscope. Once he had the microscope, he approached the child and gently pulled on his ear, so the microscope had no problem seeing into the ear. The man would take a look at both of the ears. Both of the ears had a red tint to them, the right being worse than the left. The man would look up at the parents and explain that the child had gotten an ear infection. Saiko would also explain how they are often gotten and that they are fairly common in young children. Once he was finished explaining that, he would tell them about the antibiotic that he would be placing the child on. Saiko would just have to go write a prescription. The man would leave the room and come back a bit later with a prescription. Saiko explained how to take the medicine and told them if the infection didn’t clear up to come back.

As Saiko was writing the prescription, the nurse came back with the lab results for the man with the sore throat. As Saiko suspected, he had contracted strep throat some way or another. Saiko went on to explain the diagnosis and how the man was going to get rid of it. Which was just another prescription for an antibiotic. The man listened rather intensively as Saiko gave the diagnosis. Saiko would leave the room for a bit to get a prescription for the man. Saiko sighed softly as he did so. Working in this part of the hospital was never exciting to him. The man preferred working on surgeries and important life saving tasks. However, he just helped where he was needed. It took a moment to get the prescription written out but, once it was finished Saiko immediately brought it back to the man. He would then go on to explain how to take the medicine, that he needed to take two pills a day, twelve hours apart. The man had a few questions about the medicine so, Saiko answered them to the best of his ability before saying good bye to the man and moving on.

Saiko had almost forgotten about the man with the ankle that was either broken or sprained. That was until a nurse stopped him in the middle of the hallway and handed him the X-ray. Saiko thanked the nurse and brought it to a light so he could take a look at it. By no means was Saiko a radiologist but, he figured he could at least see if the ankle was broken. If not, it would have to be sent to a specialist. However, from what Saiko could see, there was nothing wrong with the man’s ankle. At least in the bone structure. Saiko was about to diagnosis it before deciding that it was probably best to send it to the specialist. The man would go to the room with the patient and give him an update before moving onto the next patient. There was a lot of people in the hospital today so, he didn’t have much time to waste unfortunately.

The next patient was a young girl of no more than four or five. The parents were with her, more or less obviously. Saiko spoke with the parents first as he took a seat in front of the girl. She had fallen on a playground and cut her arm pretty bad. Saiko nodded softly as he listened to them. The girl was obviously very timid and shied away from Saiko as he sat down. Saiko smiled at the girl and did his best to calm her down. It took a moment but, after a few jokes to get the girl to laugh, she become less guarded to him. Once she was more open to him, Saiko would get a bit closer to her so he could examine her arm. The parents weren’t lying, she had cut herself pretty bad from what Saiko could see. The girl was going to need stitches to make sure that the wound healed correctly. It was a rather involved process but, Saiko knew that it wouldn’t take long.

The man left the room to gather the few supplies that he would need. Primarily; stitching string, a needle, and some cleaning supplies. Saiko would hurry back to the girl’s room with the supplies and get to work. The girl was nervous about the needle specifically. Saiko didn’t blame her necessarily, needles were scary. The man smiled at the girl. ”Don’t worry, it won’t hurt at all. Mom why don’t you hold her hand.” Saiko would say to both the parents and the girl. The woman in the room would take a seat next to the girl and hold her hand as asked. Saiko then began by cleaning up the wound with simple water. Once most of the blood was gone, Saiko would use an antiseptic on the wound to prevent any infections. At this point, the man could begin on actually stitching the wound.

It was a rather tedious process that began with actually threading the string through the needle. It took Saiko a moment but, after a moment he would get the string threaded properly. The man would then bring the needle to the girl’s arm and gently insert it through one of the flaps of skin. Saiko took a deep breath to steady himself and went to insert it through the next flap. Once a straight line was made, Saiko would go in a crisscross type pattern. After every two insertions, he would pull the string tight to close the wound up as he went. Saiko would stop occasionally to make sure the girl was okay and that she didn’t need a break. The girl would shake her head each time and ask him to continue. Saiko would comment on how brave the girl was each time and continue. Over the course of about ten minutes Saiko would finish up the stitching. Once it was completed, he would tie each end so it wouldn’t come undone. Some gauze would be placed over the wound and taped down to protect the wound from infection.

Once the stitching process was complete, Saiko would stand up and wipe some sweat from his forehead with his arm. He would then look down at the girl and smile. ”Alright we’re finished. See not so bad, right?” The man would say to her before washing his hands and handing her a lollipop. Saiko would look at the parents and explain after treatment for the wound. It was just the basics; keeping the wound clean, changing out the gauze, and coming back if the stitches didn’t dissolve like they were supposed to. The man asked them if they had any further questions. The mother had a few but, they were rather simple so, it only took a moment for Saiko to answer them thoroughly. Saiko would pat the girl on the head and say good bye to the parents before moving on. Before he could leave the room, the girl hugged his legs and thanked him. ”No problem little one.” Saiko would say with a smile as he watched the family leave the room. Moments like these made it worth it.

Again, the man had almost forgot the X-rays when a nurse stopped him. Saiko sighed to himself and went to go check on the results. As Saiko had originally suspected, the ankle wasn’t broken just sprained. The man went to the room with the patient to give him the full diagnosis. Saiko explained that it was just a sprain from what they could tell. Of course, fractures could develop over time and if the man noticed that the ankle wasn’t getting better than he would have to come back. Saiko suggested that the man take it easy for a couple days and try to stay off his foot as much as possible. If the man truly wanted them, Saiko could prescribe him with some crutches but, no cast would be necessary at the time. The man could also have his leg wrapped to prevent it from moving too much. The man opted to just have his foot wrapped and Saiko nodded. It was something he could do quickly. Saiko grabbed some medical wrap and quickly wrapped up the man’s foot. Once he was finished he got ready to move on.

Saiko took a moment to get a drink of water and take a break for a moment. There were still many people to take care of but, Saiko needed a short break. After getting his water, he went to the next patient’s room. Saiko could hear the man coughing from outside the room. Saiko took a breath and entered the room, introducing himself as he had been doing all day. The man’s symptoms were rather simple; coughing, fever, and a bit of a runny nose. Saiko suggested almost immediately that the man likely just had a cold but, the man persisted that he didn’t. The man nodded and went about testing the man, checking his throat, his breathing, and various other things. From what he could tell, there as no other symptoms. Saiko diagnosed it as a simple cold. However, he told the man to take some medicine and rest for a day or so. If it didn’t go away, then he would have to come back as there was nothing noticeable wrong where it could be diagnosed as something else. The man seemed disgruntled with the diagnosis but, Saiko shrugged it off.

The man walked to the next room with a patient without skipping a beat. Saiko was kinda on a roll today and he wanted to keep it going as best he could. The next woman was complaining of stomach pains and a fever. Saiko took her temperature and she did in fact have a fever. However, stomach pains were a common symptom of several different problems. He would have to narrow it down to properly diagnosis this woman. Saiko asked the woman if there was any other symptoms that she had failed to mention previously. The woman told him that she had also been vomiting and was having bad acid reflux. This helped narrow it down quite a bit. It was possibly an ulcer or an infection of some sort. However, Saiko would have to get her stomach x-rayed in order to see if there was something wrong with her stomach in that regard. Saiko stood up and led the woman to the x-ray room, asking a nurse to take care of her for now as he done previously with the other man. Once he found someone to take the x-rays he moved onto the next patient.

The next patient was another child. A small boy of about seven years old. This boy was much more talkative than the other children and even gave some of the symptoms himself. Saiko still confirmed with the parents regardless so, he could make sure the child wasn’t completely exaggerating. The symptoms were red bumps and slight fever. From what he was hearing, Saiko could almost immediately say it was chicken pox. It was an extremely common thing in kids so, it wouldn’t be that surprising. Saiko approached the child and sat down in front of him. He would then go about inspecting the child. Saiko made sure he was comfortable first before touching him or anything but, the child didn’t seem to mind. The child did indeed have red bumps spanning over a good portion of his body. Saiko finished up his inspection and smiled up at the parents. ”Just some chicken pox.” He would say to them.

Once the inspection was finished, Saiko knew that chicken pox was generally something that with medicine would just go away. The man explained to the parents the procedure of getting rid of them. Of course, it started with a prescription to start. However, the child would have to stay away from other children who may be able to contract it. So, he would have to remain at home for a while. Not only that but, Saiko suggested that they clean his sheets and clothes. If there were other children in the house it was best to keep them away and clean to prevent the spread of the chickenpox. The child seemed excited at the notion that he didn’t have to go to the academy for a few days to a week. The parents not so much so. After explaining everything, Saiko left the room to go get the prescription for the medicine that the boy would need. The man would immediately bring it back and explain how the medicine should be taken. Saiko would also suggest getting an anti-itch cream to prevent the child from scratching too much and potentially causing scarring. The man would entertain any questions that the parents had before leaving to move onto the next person.

Before Saiko moved on, he checked to see if the x-rays had been completed. They weren’t completely finished yet so, Saiko moved onto the next person. The next patient was another man. However, his case was somewhat more serious as he had managed to cut himself up pretty bad. Saiko asked the man what had happened. The man told him that he cut himself on some glass. With a closer inspection, Saiko could tell this was a lie. The cuts were too straight and not jagged like one would expect from glass. Unless it was extremely sharp glass as if it were purposefully sharpened. It was likely that the cuts were self-inflicted but, Saiko had to take it at face value for what the man said. They were definitely going to need stitches. However, an x-ray would have to be done to make sure that the cuts didn’t go deeper than surface level. If an artery was nicked it could cause many problems. Especially if it wasn’t taken care of immediately.

Saiko walked out into the hallway and grabbed a machine to do the x-rays himself. He asked for help from a nurse so, he could have an extra pair of hands for the process. Saiko grabbed the blanket and laid it over the man to protect him from the radiation. Once this was done, Saiko placed the man’s arm on a metal plate for x-rays and began. The man would groan as Saiko moved the arm but, it was necessary to move it to get a proper look. As he was doing the x-rays, Saiko asked if the man had any tetanus shots. The man couldn’t recall having one recently which meant Saiko was going to have to give him one just in case. Once the x-rays were finished, Saiko would go look at them. It didn’t seem like there was a major problem with any of the arteries. The man was extremely lucky. If he had hit an artery he would likely have been dead.

Saiko grabbed all the things he needed to do the stitching as well as some shots. One of the shots was the tetanus shot and the other were numbing shots so he could do the stitches without the man moving too much. Once he had everything he immediately went back to the room and set up his work station. Saiko placed the man’s arm on a stand to hold it up and in a place he would have no problems working. Everything was prepped now it was just time to get the shots done. Saiko grabbed the tetanus shot and began with that. This was mostly to prevent any blood infections that may arise if something had gotten into the wound. Then he would begin adding the numbing shots. Saiko would have to place the numbing shots in different places to make sure the entire arm was numb, or at least numb enough to work on. Saiko took a deep breath and theaded his needle. It was time to begin.

The stitching on this arm was much more difficult than the girl he dealt with earlier. He had to be extremely careful not to hit anything else. Another problem arose that there wasn’t much flesh for him to actually stitch since the cuts were so close together. Saiko went very slowly and as carefully as he could, going in the same pattern he had done previously. Occasionally the man would groan in pain. Saiko would offer to stop but, the man insisted that he continue and just get it over with. Saiko couldn’t blame him, it was often easier to get it done quickly. After what felt like forever, Saiko had gotten the first cut stitched up. Now he had to move onto the second cut. This one only needed a couple stitches so it would be quick. Saiko checked on the man before beginning the second cut, then went ahead to stitch it up. This man was very fortunate.

Once the stitching was completed, he grabbed some anti septic and cleaning supplies. Saiko began by cleaning it with water and some alcohol. This would make sure it was completely clean. Then he would clean it with an anti-septic to prevent it from getting infected. Saiko then grabbed some gauze and covered the cuts, taping it down with medical tape. Once he was finished, Saiko would prescribe the man some pain pills as well as an antibiotic just to make sure he wouldn’t get an infection. It was extremely important to keep this wound clean and change out the gauze whenever it got dirty. Saiko expressed this importance to the man to make sure he understood. Once he figured he had a good understanding, Saiko left the room and came back with the prescriptions. After, everything was finished the man was free to go. Saiko however had the other patient to finish up with.

The man went to go check the x-rays for the woman with the stomach issues. It seemed from the x-rays that the woman had a gall bladder infection. Saiko double checked the x-rays and decided that was the problem. Once he had made his diagnosis, he went back to the room with the woman. He apologized for the wait and immediately began explaining what the problem was. Saiko also explained that it was something that could be cleared up with some medicine within a couple weeks at most. Once he was done explaining he went and got the prescription for the medicine and came back. Saiko asked if the woman had any questions. The woman had a few and Saiko went about answering them. He told her if the symptoms persisted for about another week that it would be best to come back so they could take another look. After answering all her questions, Saiko smiled and left the room. It seemed that he didn’t have any other patients for the day. Or at least the hospital didn’t need anymore help so he left.

As Saiko was leaving, a nurse stopped him to ask him to stay. The man shrugged a bit and agreed. Without a thought he followed the nurse to a room containing a patient. It was an older woman in her sixties. She hadn’t had a check up in years and recently began having medical problems. Including; light headedness, nausea, paranoia, and a few other neurological problems. Saiko sat on a chair and took the time to speak with her. The woman was obviously nervous, she hadn’t been to a doctor in years and was afraid of what he might tell her. At her age, it wasn’t good news ever. The woman was with her daughter who was in her 50s. ”Don’t worry ma’am. We’ll get it all figured out.” Saiko would say to her. Once they were finished speaking, Saiko ordered a long series of tests. Each one to get a consensus of what was going on.

The man decided not to wait on other patients as he wanted to focus on the older woman. The nurses in the hospital didn’t seem to mind this. They understood. Soon enough a few of the tests came back, primarily the blood samples that were taken. The man brought it to an office to study. There were complications with her blood, her vitamin levels were all low as well as her iron. It was as if she was hardly eating at all. Saiko continued to read over these tests as he waited for the other test results. The man had a nurse begin taking x-rays of the woman and a CAT scan. The man wouldn’t rest until he figured out exactly what was wrong with her. The blood results didn’t seem to have that much more information in them for him to find. Saiko would unfortunately just have to wait until the other test results came back. The man felt somewhat bad as the woman was nervous enough without having to be tested for practically anything possible. There was a possible cause to the symptoms she mentioned but, Saiko didn’t even wanna think about it until the tests were more conclusive.

Eventually more results came back for Saiko to study. The X-rays were the first thing for him to look at as they would show if what he was expecting would show up. A strong feeling of hope came upon Saiko as he really wished it wasn’t the case. First Saiko studied the bones of the woman to look for any abnormalities. This proved to be unfruitful as they were what you would expect of an older person. Second came the x-rays that were specifically for the internal organs. No hemorrhaging or internal damage was done to her. Time would pass as Saiko studied the rest of the X-Rays, looking for anything. Until eventually he found something on her bladder. His eye looked at the ground, praying to whoever would listen that it wasn’t what he had expected all along. Another test would have to be done, taking a sample from this area and running tests on it to see what it was. It was a growth for sure but, whether it was harmful or not was a whole other question. In the mean time, Saiko continued to ask for help. Not for him but, for the woman to whatever Gods there were. Whatever supreme being there was.

The last of the test results came back to Saiko in a manila folder. His fingers ran along the folder as he wished not to open it. Moments passed before he had the courage to face the contents of the tests. A single tear shed from his eye as he read the test results. Cancer. It was one of the things that had very few solutions and the solutions that they had currently weren’t the greatest of options. That hardest part was yet to come. This cancer was specifically aggressive which only made it that much worse. Saiko had to go back to the room with the woman and her daughter and give the news. Letting someone know that impending death was upon them was never easy. Not for a single doctor. The man set the test results on the table and stalled by telling them about the various tests that they had performed and the purpose of each test. As he explained the different tests, it became blatantly obvious to Saiko that the woman had come to her own conclusion as to what the diagnosis was. With a heavy sigh the man told her that she had bladder cancer and that if they didn’t operate soon to get rid of the growth that she would likely be dead by the end of the year. Tears were shed, not only be the women but, by Saiko.

Once the wave of emotion began to subside, Saiko explained how the operation would work and that it must be done immediately within the next few days. The procedure had the chance of preventing the spread of the cancer which was the main concern. However, she would have to be monitored heavily to make sure that the procedure was effective. The man wished this was something that ninjutsu could fix but, unfortunately it wasn’t. You could heal the dead cells but, you couldn’t fix the defect in the cells that caused them to attack their own body. The man scheduled the appointment with the woman and explained that he would be the one performing the procedure. The surgery would take place the very next day. Saiko told her how to prep for the surgery to make it as successful as possible. Then he would subsequently send her home and make sure to tell her to get a good night’s rest. Saiko however had much prep work to do. Mostly clerical work to make sure he had the staff he needed to perform the surgery but, also gathering of supplies. The man wanted to make sure that this went as smoothly as possible without complications. Saiko would not let her die. Not on his watch.

The hours until the surgery crawled the next day. Saiko was not excited by any means for what was coming. With little sleep he had spent most of the night researching how to do this procedure correctly. Confident would describe his feelings about his capabilities however, there wasn’t any harm in making sure he was properly prepared. Staff was supplied to him at his request and he got exactly the amount of people he needed. The man only asked for two nurses and another doctor to help him with the procedure. The operating was prepared by Saiko so, he could make sure it was up to his specifications and for this operation they were higher than normal. Now, all the man had to do was wait for his patient. Soon after the operation room was prepped, the other staff entered the room, having washed their hands already and ready for operation. Everything and everyone were ready for the operation. Time ticked as they waited. What felt like an hour passed before the woman was brought in on a gurney and transferred over to the operating table. Saiko approached the woman and gently held her hand. ”Everything is going to be okay.” He assured her before sedating her and putting her to sleep. Now came the part he looked least forward to.

A scalpel would be handed to Saiko by one the of nurses who were on standby. It was a careful process but, Saiko had to make sure the woman was properly sedated. Once he determined she was asleep, Saiko reached out and took the scalpel from the woman. A precise incision was then made on the woman’s abdomen, above where the bladder would be. Unfortunately, he had to be rather large to give the doctor and Saiko enough room to work with. With the incision finished, Saiko reached for clamps to open the wound to give them more room to work with. Nothing much had to be done as the bladder was one of the few organs that wasn’t covered completely by other organs. This meant that Saiko could begin immediately on getting rid of the growth that was causing the complications. Saiko began then to remove the polyps that were created by the cancer. This would help prevent the cancer from spreading anymore than it already had. However, the more Saiko looked at it, the more he realized that he may have to do something more drastic. A part of the bladder may have to be removed as it had affected a good portion of small area of the bladder. This wouldn’t cause that much harm to the woman but, Saiko had the other doctor take a look as well. That’ what he was there for after all.

After the other doctor had taken a look as well, he agreed that the portion of the liver that had been infected was too much to leave. Which meant they were going to have to remove that part of the bladder. It was a difficult procedure but, Saiko had prepped himself for even the worst-case scenario which they weren’t even close too yet. Saiko began to remove the part of the bladder that was infected by the cancer. This meant effectively cutting it off slowly and making sure not to let any bodily fluids leak out into the body. However, with the assistance in medical ninjutsu Saiko was able to slowly heal the part of the bladder that was left open so, it would close. This would prevent the bodily fluids from escaping as Saiko performed the extraction. The process was tedious so it would take some time as he had to time everything perfectly or risk causing complications in the surgery that could result in the woman’s death. Over time, Saiko was able to complete the extraction of the part of the bladder that was infected. The nurse wiped some sweat off of Saiko’s forehead as he got ready for the next part of the surgery which was basically clean up. The man took the part of the bladder that was infected and placed it to the side in a metal tin. He then went back to getting the rest of the polyps off and small cancers that would become bigger later on. This way she would hopefully not have to return for surgery.

Not much was left to do. The rest of the Polyps were systematically taken off of the bladder and disposed of. Once they were all disposed off, Saiko removed the clamps so that the skin of the woman could somewhat return to it’s normal shape. With the clamps removed, Saiko could go about closing the wound and making sure it would heal properly. Saiko was handed the tools for stitching and began to get to work. The needle would precisely begin to pull the wound back together with the string to close it. This took Saiko a while as it was a process that required a precise hand with no room for mistakes. Eventually, Saiko was able to close the wound. The man had one of the nurses cover the wound with some medical gauze and tape it down. Now, Saiko had to wait for the woman to wake up. However, in the mean time he would go out to the waiting room and talk to the family that was so anxiously waiting. He would let them know that the surgery was successful but, they would have to wait to see if the cancer propped back up or not. The woman would have to be watched under careful eye while she was recovering. After discussing with the family for a while, Saiko went back to the office part of the hospital and got the prescriptions ready that he would need for the woman. After they were ready, Saiko brought them to the room that the woman was brought to for recovery. The woman hadn’t woke yet but, he would leave the medicine in the room, explaining to the daughter how the medicine needed to be taken. Then, he would leave the hospital. Saiko would come back soon to make sure the woman was okay and she was recovering well.

__ Zhi arrived at the village's hospital and was seen to within a reasonable wait time- for a hospital. However, she felt an unsettling chill roll down her spine at the conclusion of her checkup. "Something... is not right." She said to herself under her breath as she made her way to the window of her room. An eerie light shone into the small space she stood and over all of Uzushiogakure too. Night had been brought upon the village and an intense blood-red moon hung over it. That chill swelled back up along her spine as the eerie sensation came again in greater presence. Her sensory couldn't put an exact description of what she was seeing and feeling, but it was unnatural and it seemed to be affecting everyone else too. The sound of her room door sliding open focused her attention back to her immediate surroundings. There was the doctor from before, and several others outside of the room. However, all of them swarmed into the small space rather aggressively. Zhi spun about to face the startling scene.

Zhi stepped back slightly, now with her back literally against the wall as she was quickly surrounded by the lot. "O-oi oi! What's the big idea? I don't li-" The doctor interjected as he stepped forward ahead of the rest with a maniacal grin across his lips, "We found something unnatural about your blood work, and needed some more..." He stopped to chuckle, "... samples. Cheheh heh heh..." Zhi's skin crawled as the lot continued to get closer. "Nah... that's okay. Maybe some other time. Could ya just, like, step back and maybe leave? That'd be just dand-" Before she could finish the doctor suddenly lunged forward and the others also rushed in to pile onto and pin down the kunoichi. As much as she wanted to avoid overreacting, their bloodshot eyes and excessively protruding fangs sent off all kinds of alarms in her. "I SAID GET AWAY!!" Zhi screamed as she stomped her foot. Many roots responded to her will at that moment and tore through the floor to sweep the vampiric hospital staff aside and clear a path to the exit for Zhi. She promptly took the opportunity presented to herself and left the room. However, it was all the more of a struggle leaving the medical facility as a whole from there on out. "What the heck is going on? Everyone has lost their minds because of the moonlight, or something!" Zhi bellyached aloud as she left the countless restrained or knocked out civilians behind on the way out of the building. From the looks of things nowhere in the village was likely to be safe since everyone's chakra signatures, shinobi or otherwise, seemed to altered because of whatever was happening here.

The man entered the hospital, something completely seemed wrong with the air today. Everyone seemed entirely more hostile than they normally were but, Saiko had things to do so he ignored it for now. The man walked along the halls to find a private room. Saiko then created a wooden clone to perform the surgery he needed. Saiko immediately laid in the bed and handed over a vial with the Byakugan to the clone. Saiko sighed a bit. "Alright hopefully this works like I've been told it does." The man said as he lifted his eye patch, revealing the eye that had been ruined as a child. Once the eye patch was moved, the clone approached Saiko. It immediately picked up a scalpel and began the process. First the clone took Saiko's eye by cutting the optical nerve that was attached to it. Then the clone pulled the eye out. Once it was out, the clone opened up the vial and slowly placed the byakugan into the open socket. Then it waved it's hand over the socket and immediately began to transfer medical chakra into the socket to reattach the nerve back to the eye. Once it was finished the clone dissipated into dust. Saiko jumped to a start, the man had full vision once again. To figure out how the eye works, Saiko prodded it with his own chakra eventually activating it and being able to see everything like he had been able to as a kid when he switched bodies with the Hyuuga boy. Saiko smiled widely and quickly placed his eye patch back over his eye. This needed to remain a secret.

She would not hesitate to start yelling to get the attention of the hospital staff. "Over ******** here, I've got a man who needs immediate attention. Hurry the ******** up." She had got the staffs attention real quick and they quickly hurried over. Helping Lilah to bring him in and onto a real stretcher. "I applied basic first aid to keep him from bleeding out but he has much more serious problems now. I know every wound inside and out and I can guide you guys where it is thanks to my eyes. He does need operation and medicine now." Despite being not even being staff here or ever helping she listed off Kairis exact injuries and where they were with pin point accuracy. To say the least the hospital staff were impressed and she was allowed to stay to help out. Not that she would have let them keep her out. To say the least his surgery was long but thanks to medical practices and medical jutsu, he would heal up very nicely. By this point he was in a room and Lilah was about to sit down when the staff looked at her arm. They wanted to take a look at it and her injuries but she shook them off with a growl. "Don't ******** touch me, my arms fine dumb asses. Don't worry about it and instead get me some bandages to wrap around it."

With that the staff would leave to get her some bandages clearly realizing they were barking up the wrong tree. Lilah sat on part of the bed Kairi lay on. She had managed to keep his a** alive and only now she actually was thinking. The rest had been her body acting on it's own, she understood why. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't throw him to the wolves and emotionally block him out. He was just too damn nice, and it was difficult to block. "You're a dumbass, you know that? Didn't even bother to think about how'd I feel huh. Just up and ready to die. Planned on leaving me all alone........I don't want to be alone anymore. Just....I don't want to lose you." Lilah said looking at Kairi, she just assumed he'd be asleep for a while. Well she admitted at least, at this point he had ingrained himself in her life and she could no longer push him out. It was his fault really for being so nice.

All around him, the world was warm. but he was not home. Nor was he in the village. Instead he sat alone atop a formation of carved stone. Around him stood pillars of dirty dusty brown. The light breeze tussling his hair and caressing his skin. It was peaceful yet lonely. Letting out a sigh the young man took a deep breath and shook his head. He was dead, that was the only possible outcome he could think of. It was the only way to explain what he was experiencing. "At the end of our hard fought journey, paradise awaits. Heh, some paradise. I even died like a dog on my back. How shameful could I have been."

From nowhere and everywhere, he heard a voice,"Are you really being honest with yourself?" Normally Kairi would have instantly taken up some kind of fighting pose but, why? He was dead already what could this voice do to him? What could he possibly have to be afraid of at this point. Letting out a sigh he shrugged,"Probably not. What can I say, I died today, I can bullshit myself a little bit right?" "Well I suppose you could but that not like you." "How could you possibly know who I am? What even are you?" To which the spirit chuckled,"Lets stick with whats important Mr. Sisigou. How many lives did you claim while you were alive? What an annoying question. Letting out a sigh he replied,"Too many." "Are you a good man?" "I think so." "Yet you've killed men, taken their lives. So how does a good man decide when to kill?" Now that was a good question. Letting out another sigh he nodded,"I think, when someone means to do me, or someone or something I love harm. Beyond that its a crapshoot." The spirit seemed satisfied with his answer,"You sigh too much. You know when you sigh you let out happiness. At least thats how the stupid saying goes anyway."

For a time the spirit was silent before it spoke again,"What is the story your life will tell? Do you think your family will be proud of you, when they find out how you died?" That question annoyed him greatly though he knew there was no point in getting pissed off, or defensive at this point. It would not do any good. "My story is the story of the traitor, dying a traitors death, on his back with empty hands. My family will be as they already are, ashamed of me." "Yet your a good man. You sacrificed your life to protect two kids you did not know, and held your resolve until you delivered your report. Is that not an honorable death?" The spirits response caused Kairi to pause. It wasn't lying yet, some small part of him could not accept what it was saying. Ultimatly he had to accept the spirits words as truth,"A good death, marred by a shameful life." This seemed to confuse the spirit,"How was it a shameful life? Yes you broke your oath to the Daimyo, but you did it for the right reason. It wasn't the Daimyo who protected the land of fires people when the UHV invaded. It was the shinobi you fought, bled and died alongside. Was that not the right choice?" Again the spirit had cornered him,"You know your really annoying. I broke the oath, it doesn't matter why. Anything can be judged with the right logic, even genocide if done right." Yet the annoying spirit as always had a quip response for him,"And what of your oath to the village? You swore to protect them and so you have. So you broke one oath to keep another. Which is more important, keeping the coffers of the Daimyo full by ensuring that the shinobi of the leaf stayed loyal, or protecting the people he abandoned." "In the end I broke that oath as well. I couldn't protect anyone other than those two kids. I dont have the strength that people like Chei and Kya have. When its all said and done, I am just a soldier. I dont have some fancy eyes, or great bloodline. Even against the Kyuubi all I could do was buy time at the price of my blood." "Yet you still chose to fight without a second thought. Knowing your own powerlessness and futility, yet raging against the confines of your own cage like a captured bird of prey. Thats a far better story dont you think?"

Now it was Kairi's turn to sit in silence. Part of his mind puzzled at who this spirit was, and the other pondered its words. "You forgot one." "One what?" "An oath." "To who?" "Lilah, you promised to be there for her, to protect her and to erase her loneliness." "Woah woah woah, slow your roll there spirit thingy, I never said a damn thing about protecting her, or erasing her loneliness. Just that I would fight alongside her. She doesn't need me to protect her, and as far as her loneliness is concerned, part of me still thinks she just wants to be alone. While the other thinks she wants to be loved by someone. But that doesnt matter now. I'm dead remember." "Did you care for her?" "In my way I guess I did. I wish I could have helped her more. Been there to keep that promise. But again, that doesn't matter anymore, I died remember stupid spirit." As before there was a long period of silence, though it was inevitably broken. Yet, when it was, it was not the masculine voice of the previous spirit, and instead it was a feminine voice,"Could you have loved her? Were she to love you?" Letting out a heavy sigh he placed his palm against his forehead,"Seriously another spirit, how many of you are there? Know what, dont answer that. I dont want to know. To answer your question, probably. She, needed me and it felt good. To be needed by someone." "She still needs you, you know?" "I know, but she'll have to find the strength to be on her own again. Not a whole lot I can do for her from this side of the grave."

"What about the village, could you live for them again? You gave your life for them after all. Yet the one leading it did not care when you fell before her. She did not thank you for your sacrifice." Waving his hand absently Kairi chuckled,"I dont care. I didnt fight for her, I didn't die for her. I fought for the ones who couldn't fight for themselves. Yoshiro and Emiko. I died so they wouldn't have to. A kage is nothing more than a person who wears a hat. A village is made of more than just a kage. Its the people inside of that village which give them their power. Not the other way around. Thats why I would happily give my life to them again. Because they matter more than any single one of us. Hell multiples of us. I would give a hundred lives for those like them. Lilah, Emi, Yoshiro." His words seemed to amuse the spirit,"Well you dont have a hundred lives." "I had but one, and I gave it when it was asked of me." "Do you regret your death?"

While his initial answer as going to be a no, he had to admit, deep inside he did. He regretted dying. Not that he sacrificed his life to protect those precious lives. But that he had to give it. If he didn't have to give it, he could continue to protect them and care for them. To save Lilah from hatred and revenge. To teach Yoshi to think with his heart AND his head. To see Emiko become the shinobi he knew she could become. Finally he spoke,"I do not regret that I died. The other spirit is right, it was a good death. I simply regret that its what had to be done. I would like to see them again. To surf with Emi, to scold Yoshi while hiding how proud of him I am. To hold Lilah in my arms while I sleep again." He could tell the female spirit was happy with his response from the giggle it had elicited from it. Though before he could question it, the male spirit returned.

Yet as he opened his mouth to speak the two spirits rushed into his body and he slumped to the hard stone below him. Unable to sit up or to move. His body felt heavy and cold, everything hurt. Within his mind he could hear their voices mixed into one,"Its time to wake up Kairi. You only have two more to give." Even as he tried to question it his eyes went dark and his throat felt dry. He could hear his pulse, and taste the air he breathed. He could hear the echos of the world that he had left behind, the beeping of a monitor and the sound of voices. Lilah's voice. She was giving him a rash of s**t, but it almost sounded adorable. It seemed the female spirit was right, she did need him. Though he could not bring himself to speak, even if he wanted to. The weight of sleep drug him back into unconsciousness. As he slept his dreams were nothing more than a view of that marble desert, the swirling sands licking the stones. The words ringing in his ears, two more to give.

When he finally returned to consciousness, his body came back online as it were. Ears, eyes, smell, taste, lungs. Wiggling his legs just a bit, they felt heavier than blocks of lead and resulted in nothing more than small movements. His arms like iron weighted shackles. Attached to his left arm was an IV in his elbow, and another in the back of his hand. Connected in turn to a pair of bags of blood each. He didn't think he had bled that much, but given that he had died, apparently he was not much of a judge. Breathing in his spoke softly, in a dried raspy tone,"Even if you didn't promise to wait. I'd return each time knowing you'll be here."

Emiko groaned as she came to, her head pounding. She forgot what had happened, only really recalling that her and Yoshiro were in the Academy before something had caught her eye. The rest was something that was confusing. Blurred silhouettes would obscure what was happening, even recalling two figures that beat her up pretty good. Another moan came as she sat up on the cot she had been lying on. A throbbing sensation was killing her mind. It was like she had been smacked on the head with one of those things they used during the kendo fights. The child rubbed her head, some medical wrapping around it while noticing that she had been wearing one of those weird hospital gown thingies. Standing up was a bit more difficult since her sense of balance was a bit off but it was by no means a wall to keep her from doing so. The sound of nurses talking from across the way made itself known to her. She listened in from afar, wondering just what they about.

"...patient. The one with the blonde hair and weird haircut? In armor. He came in here a while ago looking like death. I doubt he'll make it."

Emiko's heart sunk as the words entered her ears. Her expression changed to one of uncertain horror. "N-No." she muttered under her breath. "No...Nonono..." The girl's feet began to move in a sort of fast walk, careful not to upset any staff that might see her. She left the infirmary and then began to hightail it towards Kairi's room. Hopefully it wouldn't be far but knowing just how large this building was it was entirely possible. Her head was still a massive chore to ignore and she was beginning to have doubts on whether she could last based on how much her pathing was being upset. "No..." Emiko continued to mutter, pushing herself to the receptionist's desk. Her small hands steadied herself on the desk while the woman sitting at the desk would be topsy turney. "I'm looking for my friend staying here. Kairi." The receptionist looked up some things as Emi did her best to not fall over and then was supplied an answer.

"He's in recovery 362 but he needs-"

Emiko took off running then. She had the number and was going to see him even if she had to do it by stealth. The woman behind her was calling out to her just as she rounded a corner and went up the stairs. Her feet were hitting the ground as fast as her heart was beating. Could it be that Kairi was actually...No, she had to focus. He would be fine! They'd laugh, go surfing again, Emiko would hug him again and everyone would have a good time. The stairs were traversed with little difficulty and even though Emiko almost fell a couple of times, it was done and over with as she reached the 350 wing.

"355...356...357..." The rooms were passing her by at speeds that were fitting for an academy student. Nurses outside would be yelling at her to slow down or even trying to block her way. She managed to give them the slip with some fancy moves and almost running into a cart full of food. Around a corner to the 360 room numbers. Kairi was close now. The first room which was empty and then came the fated Room 362. Emiko came to a halt and looked at it while her stomach was busy turning itself inside and out. Her hand quaked as it latched around the handle to the door and then slid it open. THere before her, lying pretty broken was Kairi and...some other woman who Emiko hadn't ever seen before. Her clothing must have been damaged in whatever Kairi had been attacked by because boy was it in rags.

"Kairi!" Emiko yelled and hurried inside. Before either knew it, Emiko was latched onto Kairi's arm. She hugged it tight before looking up at Kairi with angry eyes. "Y-You idiot! Look at what happened to you! I thought you had...Don't ever try to play hero again!" During her little fit, her eyes were filling up with tears as she was blinking fast to get rid of them. Tears began to stream down her cheek while the academy student would look down in guilt. "Ah-It's all my fault. I'm sorry I couldn't help you, Kairi. If I was there, I could have helped and..." Her voice trailed off before then just hugging his arm and just pouting during her silently crying fit. "Please don't leave me. You and Yoshiro are the only friends I have..."

Lilah was still there wrapping up her arm when Kairi awoke. She wasn't quite done so she didn't go over to him right away instead spoke. "Of course I'm here, I'm the one who helped heal you. Not like it was a big deal, I was mostly only here to take care of a patient. Don't feel special." She said finishing wrapping up her arm, part of the burn on her arm had been visible but now it was being covered up. Would Kairi see it? That was up to what he paid attention to. She got up from the chair she was in and sat slightly on his bed near him. Her voice softened a bit this time as she spoke. Unusual for her to say the least. "You know, I tried to push you away. I hurled insults and treated you like s**t. But yet you would not go away. I have tried everything so I surrender, you win. I can't get rid of you no matter what I do." She sighed and moved so her right arm was on the other side of Kairi. Now her face hovered over Kairi's. Her chest was now more clearly visible from the angle she was leaning into. What was going on exactly, this seemed very out of character.

"Since I couldn't get rid of you, you're stuck with me now. You'll have to take responsibility now. As it was your actions that ensured this outcome." She actually giggled for the briefest of moments before returning back to the stoic face she was so known for. Her left arm, the one that was always bandaged moved over to Kairi's face and gently cupped his cheek, moving some hair out of the way while she was at it. With that she said nothing as she brought her lips to his and kissed him. It was surprisingly good considering she had basically no experience. Not counting all those years ago of course. She kissed him for a few seconds but would not let him return said kiss. She was still bothered with him touching her, any man really. But she could at least stand touching him. "Unfortunately, a psychotic girl, starved for love and likely to fall for anyone who would be a little nice to her, has set eyes on you."

Lilah let that sink in for a moment before giving Kairi another kiss, though as she was giving him the other one a child bust through the door and grabbed Kairi's arm. She almost smacked the child down right there and then, if not for the fact she was still a child. Something Lilah still had a soft spot for. Instead she gently grabbed the girl and pried her off of Kairi's arm before she injured it. "Girl, knock it off. Control your damn self. I did not go through all the trouble of rescuing him, patching him up helping with his surgery and watching him this entire time to see his wounds suddenly break open from a girl." While it came off as harsh it was the truth, she could probably cry and say whatever and not break his arm or something. Normally she'd just told a adult to go die. "Listen girl, you can cry and say all you want, just have some damn respect for his injuries while you do. Don't bother blaming yourself either, damn fool would do that again regardless of if you could help or not. He's beyond lucky I was there to help."

The puppet was never to leave Sadayo's side. When the hospital staff moved the young man, Sadayo had no further reason to be here as an extra body just in the way of the happenings in the hospital. She felt empty for some reason she couldn't place. Sadayo, with her neutral stare, looked up at the growling puppet and stared up at him for a good several seconds. Her sights falling from its head, to shoulder, and skipped down to its arms. Then her sights sunk to the floor. She dismissed Nirami in a cloud of smoke and sought to leave out the door she came through.

I am only a shadow.
The emptiness was filled with a forced faux sense of appreciation and hope deserving of a shadow like her.

Ah there it was, barely awake and she was already giving him s**t. He couldn't help but chuckle. He really did miss her,"Oh dont worry, I'm sure you only patched me up so you wouldn't lose your meal ticket." He gave a small smile in his words. Though the following events left him with more questions than answers, though all would be answered in turn. Though her kiss was kinder and more gentle than he though capable of the woman, he truly smiled as she broke the embrace of lips. So there was a woman, a kind sweet woman, under all of that anger and rudeness. Though he did not begrudge her for her failures. They made her who she was. Thus he embraced them. Not that he could return her kiss, or hold her close to him in his current state even if he wanted to, even if she were to let him. "I guess I will have to take responsibility for that. I'm sorry if I scared you, or made you worry, it just..felt like the right thing to do. I didn't think about it, I just did it."

Though when Emiko appeared he did not know really what to do or say to the young girl. Though when Lilah kind of went off on her Kairi did his best to raise his arm to stop her,"Lilah, its fine." Letting out a sigh he continued,"Lilah, this is Emiko, a student and friend of mine. Letting out a sigh he shook his head and lightly motioned for Emi to come back to his bed,"Emi, I know your close to becoming a Gennin. But, how do I word this." After a second he continued,"Emi, A shinobi's job is to fight and protect the things and people he loves." He glanced up at Lilah and gave her a small smile before continuing,"But, sometimes things happen that we cant stop. Sometimes, we have to make a sacrifice for the sake of those people. Its the oath I swore when I became a royal guard, and its the oath I swore when I became a Chuunin here. Its also the oath that you will take on when you are given your headband. To be a shinobi of a village, is to love those around you more than you love yourself. In that moment when I was laying on top of you two, I loved you two more than I loved myself. I would suggest you take a few days to process that. What it means to be a shinobi. I wish you didn't have to learn this lesson this early, but I have faith in you. Your a strong girl Emi, you'll be ok." Using what stregnth he could muster he would lightly pat her on the head like he did after they had finished surfing,"And I promise you, once I heal up, we can go surfing again ok?"

"That's the problem you didn't think about it. You need to think about what you are doing. I'll give you a pass on this one but I'm not going to let you die or get that injured again. No matter what understand dumbass." Lilah shook her head but didn't say much as he talked about being a shinobi. That talk did make her feel sick though, that was not what ninja really were. She knew from first hand experience on what ninjas actually stood for. She was going to tell this girl the truth, regardless of how much Kairi might disagree. "Your name is Emiko right? Well I'm Lilah. Kairi might have good intentions but he does not always see the real picture." She said essentially calling Kairi naive. She knew while he wasn't completely stupid and thought everyone was good, but he held this village in high esteem despite everything.

"He'll tell you all about shinobi and how they are supposed to act and what to do. However anyone who has seen ninja themselves have a much different view on what they are." She took a deep breath, crushing this kids view on ninja was something she didn't want to do but she felt guilty not doing it. If she could steer her away from this life she would. "Normal people are afraid of ninja and see them as monsters. Super powered humans who reek havoc with nothing more then a few hand signs or sometimes even less then that. And ninja do very little to help this image. They often have no regards into how normal people feel or how anyone outside their own village is. After all anyone outside the village is not particularly important. Not enough to care about unless they are paid to. That's the only time they help people, is when they are paid. Some people begrudge that but that's not the worst of it to be honest."

Lilah looked over to Kairi and shook her head. There truly was genuine hatred for ninja in those eyes. There was also a hatred of herself for being one of those ninja. She at least could stand it though thanks to the fact that she considered herself different. She was a ninja for a good reason, because it was the only way to get revenge and change the way things work. "Ninja are responsible for almost every major conflict and are always at the center of it. Which wouldn't be the worst if they didn't drag every village town and innocent normal people into every ******** war they have. They don't care what happens to them, they certainly don't bother protecting them. Innocent normal people suffer the most under ninja. I could go on and on for hours about everything that's wrong with ninja. But I think you get the picture. I've personally dealt with what happens when ninja decide they want to fight each other and how much a village cares about the land's inhabitants." With that she would go silent and get up from the hospital bed and walk over to the window. She stood there looking out over the village. She didn't hate Kairi, because she did know he truly was a good man. She did however not have so much trust in this village or ninja here as well.

During her little scene with the wounded Kairi, Emiko failed to take the extra body into account while being latched onto the boy. Being torn from him, she let out a surprised but mostly frustrated noise before looking up at the woman who seemed to be scolding her for her words. Maybe they were true, but it wasn't like Emi was going to take that into heart! At least for a while.

"Don't bother blaming yourself either, damn fool would do that again regardless of if you could help or not. He's beyond lucky I was there to help."

The child's lips formed into a pout. One of those faces a kid would give if they knew that somebody had a point but didn't want to admit it. The student quietly did her best to hold her tongue against whatever thoughts that would become vocal against the woman and would instead just let out a sigh. "Thank you for saving Kairi." The man in question would perk up at seeing her a little maybe. He motioned for her to return on the bed, Emiko hopping up to sit but making sure that she wouldn't make the wounded warrior here any less comfortable or in pain. His explanation made a little bit more sense. It even made her blush a little at saying how he loved her and their always headstrong friend Yoshi when he had covered them both. Not in a romantic way but Emiko had felt fairly weird when people actually did care about her. "O-Okay." Emi sat, maybe even looking away as her head was pat again by him. This talk had gotten some of the gears turning in her head a little. Maybe she could do more than just sit by the sidelines and hope that somebody else get hurt. Lilah, introduced to her earlier, would pipe in with her own world view.

"Normal people are afraid of ninja and see them as monsters. Super powered humans who reek havoc..."

The black haired woman rattled on and on about the troubles that shinobi and things would have on the world around them. Those not skilled, the people getting by, would truly suffer at the hands of these monsters with such a gift. Emiko continued to remain silent and just listen to her explanation. Everything she said was fairly accurate in a way. She didn't doubt how much of an impact that ninja had in the world. When she was finished, Lilah would walk to the window and reflect, maybe even not bothering continuing.

Emi kept her head down but would slowly behinbto speak to the two. "I understand that ninja are bad for the everyday citizen and all. Especially the really bad ones that almost destroy villages. I really do." The child's head looked up to Kairi before then going to Lilah again. "But ninja like Kairi and Asena and Yoshi. I don't think they're monsters. I won't lie and say that all ninja aren't bad. But I think most join because of what Kairi said. A love for people. They love their village, or maybe their friends and want to protect them. Of course anyone else would be ebemies or not really friends, but that doesn't mean there are people like that." Her feet swing from the bed a little, wondering how Yoshino was doing and if he had managed to get himself hurt as well. The boy had a talent for rushing in headfirst and getting himself in trouble. "Maybe I'm stupid for thinking that, maybe it's because I don't know anyone who loves me but I do. But if you hate ninja so much then why are you one? Does that make you a monster too? Even if you wanna change things around, you still took that pledge. I dunno your reasons but I won't ask. I just want you to know that I'll still see you as a friend and ally, even if we fight a lot."

Emiko climbed forward a bit so that she was sitting close to Kairi's chest now. "When I become a Genin, I want to learn medical jutsu so I can take care of Lilah, Yoshi and you. I won't even let you get yourself hurt like this again, so no more playing hero." Content with what she said, Emiko would gently pat Kairi's head as she had done with hers. "So get rested so we can go surf again. And Lilah." She spun around to her. "Thanks for teaching me. Even if you didn't mean it. I hope we can work together some day!"

Lilah's words, normally, would have troubled anyone. Well other than him of course, and apparently Emi as well. He was well aware of her stance on shinobi, and she was as well on his. To him it was not the shinobi themselves who were evil. But instead it was those who used them for such things. The leaders who drug their shinobi into wars for selfish or greedy issues. Those were the ones he hated. Giving Emi a light hug he smiled when she patted him on the head. Just as cheeky as ever. Sitting the young girl up he nodded,"Soon." Placing his hands over her ears he called out for the attending nurse. Once she arrived he spoke quickly,"I need you to bring me a scroll and something to write with please." Giving him a nod the nurse headed out. Returning a few moments later with a scroll and a pen she handed them off.

Pushing the small child down a bit so he could write he quickly began to scribble something upon it. Wrapping it up he licked the end and sealed it. Handing it to Emi he began,"I have a task for you thats very important. Take this and find Yoshi. Then the two of you, together, are to take it to the receptionist at the Hokages tower, unopened. Take care of this." The way he phrased it and the way he spoke, did not offer much in the way of refusal. He was still a Chuunin and an Instructor. Even if impromptu, this was a delivery mission.

Assuming she began her mission with her normal gusto soon the room would be just the two of them. Letting out a sigh he relaxed against the bed and let his eyes wander to the bag of blood slowly flowing into his arm. After a moment he began,"You know, dying is an interesting experience. I spoke two a couple of spirits a male and a female. They asked me questions about my life and the nature of my death. Initially I thought it was a dishonorable and shameful death. But, as we spoke I came to appreciate it for what it was. I gave my all in service to a people I love. But not the person I love." Poking the bag lightly he continued,"Its odd, the only regret I could think of, was that I didn't get to spend more time with you. That I couldn't fulfill my promise to you. I cant say that I wont die. It comes for us all in the end. But, I do promise not to die, until I have fulfilled my promise to you." Leaning back against the bed with a sigh he chuckled just a bit,"You know, when Emi hopped up here, I kind of wished it was you."

The Uzukage had first billing when it came to the hospital. A half a dozen doctors rushed out to get Masato onto a metal slab. They then proceeded to expose his chest fully and work through various drugs and jutsu which could halt the wild temperament of the demon. The team took Masato away while the woman waited in the waiting room. She sat in a chair, slightly concerned about the state of Masato, but much more concerned about whether a demon was going to burst out and Chie would have to save her village from yet another threat.

    Passive Effects:
    _β˜† Korabo S-ranked
___β—‹ Able to use Korabo up to A-ranked with herself.
    _β˜† Electric Resistance Training
___β—‹ Negates harm from own lightning ninjutsu
    _β˜† Ninjutsu Alchemy
___β—‹ This technique allows Chie to passively Korabo two jutsu together. The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Finally, an additional charge of 10 chakra per rank of the final product technique is required to be paid. So if the user Korabo two B-ranked techniques, (the user must also pay for each individual skill), then the final technique would be an A-ranked skill, and thus would cost 50 more chakra to perform this way. Overall this technique's only purpose is to make Chie more cool by utilizing all of her elements and having them combine into super cool ways like a wizard should.
    _β˜† Hidden Mist Vision
___β—‹ Sees clearly during hidden mist technique, or mist in general.
    _β˜† Fire Resistance Training
___β—‹ Negates harm from own fire ninjutsu
    _β˜† True Belief
___β—‹ The user has meditated and trained long enough in this monk art to understand how important true belief is. By understanding the power of the spirit over the mind, and the mind over the body, the user has increased their stamina by sheer will power alone, as well as increased their toughness and durability. Increases Stamina by +25 for every style mastered.
    _β˜† Enlightenment
___β—‹ Meditation and spiritual exploration and understand yields interesting results. Due to the greater understanding of the self, the user is more aware of the connection between their mind, body and spirit, and how to utilize that connection. The user is now slightly more skilled at just about everything. Striking, blocking, moving, absorbing, and taking damage. The user's strength and fortitude is increased heavily.
    _β˜† Impact Resistance
___β—‹ The user acclimates to using the cestus in a battle setting by pounding away at a training dummy with the cestus. By analyzing the feedback of different forms of strikes, the user finds a way to minimize any damage they may take from their own strikes. Upon completing this training, the user suffers no recoil damage from techniques from any non-Rigorous Taijutsu or Bukijutsu Style up to either the highest trained rank in this Style or the highest trained rank in the Hard Physical Formless Style, whichever is lower, and does not suffer damage from striking anything harder than their fists.
    _β˜† Focal Point
___β—‹ The user meditates through combat, taking time to narrow their focus to their Chakra pathways. In so doing, they become innately aware of when they are being observed in combat, and can pinpoint the locations of anyone below their rank observing them within one meter.
    _β˜† Thread Walking
___β—‹ By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation.
    _β˜† Advanced Thread Walking
___β—‹ he user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires without penalties, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as infeasible.
    _β˜† Blessed Rain
___β—‹ The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Their chakra pool is increased by +35.
    _β˜† Insight Rain
___β—‹ The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent in the immediate area. As to where, however, they cannot be sure.
    _β˜† Torrential Blessings
___β—‹ Having completed all that the user may learn, they have but one task left to complete: the user must practice controlling the flow of chakra, and be sure that their control is the finest that it can be. By doing so, they must repeat the exercise performed earlier with Blessed Rain, all the while, they perform technique to the brink of exhaustion. This training receives no reductions. Chakra pool is increased by +65.
_β˜† The Task of the Next Generation
___β—‹ Upon the master of the school of Shigure Souen Ryu, it's the user's responsibility to develop the next generation! The user is granted one [1] custom slot usable only for a personal Shigure Souen technique.
    _β˜† Basic Endurance Training
___β—‹ The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of X-Rank techniques in this Style are reduced by 5, down to a minimum cost of 5.
    _β˜† Extreme Climate Resistance Training
___β—‹ The user spends a great deal of time completely immersed in the most intense weather the region has to offer. Following this training, the user does not suffer from adverse climate effects. Additionally, using one or more of the Pi, Qua, and Quan techniques in any combination increases the user's fortitude slightly for one post, to a max of one [1] descriptive rank per trained level in the Soft Physical Formless Style.
    _β˜† Advanced Endurance Training
___β—‹ The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of techniques in this Style are reduced by half if the practitioner has used the same technique at some point in the last two posts.
    _β˜† Pi Qua
___β—‹ By repeating the transition between the Pi and Qua techniques repeatedly, the user becomes able to perform them quickly enough that starting with one and transitioning into the other only consumes one action for the post, and also cannot be interrupted if the first hits.
    _β˜† Pi Qua Quan
___β—‹ After learning all other techniques in this Style, the practitioner runs through them all again, stringing them together in the longest combo they can. Following this training, the practitioner finds themselves capable of using all techniques in the Style up to the highest learned rank of the Soft Physical Formless Style for 10 less Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina.
    _β˜† Acclimation
___β—‹ The user acclimates to moving in their armor by wearing it during normal daily activities. After completing this training, the user can move in any armor as though it were properly fitted for them personally. This provides one descriptive rank in strength and fortitude to techniques using the armor per stage learned in this Style.
    _β˜† Shifting Position
___β—‹ The user practices their art by moving across a shifting surface--such as sand or mud--with their armor. Following the completion of this training, the user becomes significantly harder to topple while armored; all incoming techniques that would move the user are treated as one rank lower in strength when determining of how far the user is moved, and the user can no longer be toppled by techniques lower in rank than their armor.
    _β˜† Knight's Blade
___β—‹ The user studies and acquaints themselves with the many different types of defensive armaments, from shields to armor to defensive items like the forehead protectors that Shinobi Villages use. In the process, they become able to apply any armor techniques to protective armaments and vice-versa.
