A tiny little silver butterfly flit into a place where a naiad named Anginetti rest her head. The butterfly paused a moment, allowing the sparky silver trail to catch up. Gentle butterfly kisses sent Anginetti into the dream world.
She is tired and stifles a yawn while loading her bags full of top-secret soft gel balls. She, as well as the rest of her squad, have no idea what they are for or what's in them, but they've been given explicit instructions to not break one open on fear of death.
"What ya s'pose is in theese?" words in a bizarre accent are coming from her mouth.
"Chemicals, I imagine. I overheard some talk the other day with the General and our Sargeant about not exposing the troops to them."
"Will we die?" Anginetti's anxiety grew. Are they purposely exposed to something toxic? A loud booming voice ordered all soldiers to the front line. The demon Anginetti scooped the rest of the balls into her bags and moved out.
Slowly moving forward, flapping her leathery demon wings, the soldier Anginetti leaves the boundaries of O'cuil, taking flight and carrying many bags filled with large soft gel balls. A glance to the right and she catches the eye of her angel friend in different formations in another squad. Determination for a successful mission motivating the hundreds of squadrons of angels and demons. The General gave the order and the squads flew out, row by row, over Tuatha'Ri Lake.
The lake is much bigger than Anginetti remembers it, but she also has a brief moment of lucidity where she wonders why she is a demon up in the air.
At the half-way mark over the lake, the command is given. The first line started to drop the balls as they fly forward. Anginetti pulled a large squishy gel ball, about the size of a softball out of the side bag. For a moment, the ball turned clear and she saw a woman, reaching out and gasping for air. Fear and panic hit her so hard, she squeezed the ball. It burst, a green, viscous fluid splattered her armor and face. It dripped from her hand into the bag with the other balls.
The orders were to drop them slowly as they flew straight and to continue dropping them even if they hit land on the other side. The goal was total saturation. That is why the entire army embarked on the most important mission in history.
The lake was peppered with the dissolving green gel balls. The fumes from the remnants of the gelatin ball twisted Anginetti's mind and she felt dizzy. She fell from the sky along with the rest of the ammunition.
Just as her back hit the water, she heard the call. "Mission success!" General Strafe halted the soldiers. "Time for the real war!"
Anginetti saw a young naiad floating in the doorway. She was holding a tray of gourmet delicacies. Another naiad slides up beside the girl and nuzzled her briefly. "Today's the day!" He announced. The girl giggled and hushed the boy.
"We must wait until after the queen's announcement." The girl cupped the boy's face and smiled. The love the pair shared radiated. As an outsider looking in, Anginetti could even feel the love.
The girl moved forward, but stopped abruptly, letting go of the platter. The food floated everywhere. Shock. Fear. Panic. Confusion. It all washed over the both of them. Anginetti swam to the girl, wanting to help but noticed something else wasn't right. The girl didn't respond to anything Aginetti did or said. But when eye contact was made, the pair burst apart.
"That's me!? That's me!
"But how?" But how?
In the Throne Room, the scared girl witnessed the Oracle spear Queen Alu.
Anginetti gasp and started choking. The last thing she saw before blacking out was the spearhead sticking out from the queen. The whole Queendom went green.
That spearhead though .... was familiar somehow, even in her dream.
Love. Unconditional and everlasting. Joy. Extreme and all-encompassing.
Anginetti felt warm. So happy and cozy. No one has ever felt this level of love and joy before.
Resting in the arms of her beloved, Anginetti opened her eyes and smiled. A perfect face and smile greeted her as she awoke. "Today is the day, sweetheart." He says to her.
