JAYSON WRIGHT

Jayson heard Adora speak to him and had to actively stop himself from instinctively swishing her away, he didn't kill flies but he did move them along if they landed on him. "As long as you don't start walking on my face." That was where he drew the line. "Yeah, blow it up." He couldn't help but encourage her, it had been a long while since he had seen a helicopter explode, it wasn't like he sought them out though, it was more like seeing a shooting star, rare but not improbable. A guard jostled him and placed a pair of handcuffs on his wrists in front of him, he waited about five seconds before biting through the middle giving himself a pair of bracelets to be snacked on in his own time. He watched the guard do the same to Jacob. "Want me to...?" He pointed at the handcuffs. The guard who had watched him eat the handcuffs didn't bother to try and reapply them, it was his own fault for binding Jayson's arms in front of him after all. A guard rushed past Naomi at the warden's order and started spraying green goop at the helicopter, he had once had the misfortune of being covered in that stuff and knew how hard it was to escape from. Also it tasted like rancid lemonade and toe jam, he had given up trying to eat it in the end, and just submitted to the stay in solitary. He moved slightly behind his mech guard to avoid shrapnel or bullets.

Smirking at Jayson's remark, she walked up onto his collar and watched the scene in front of them unfold. Adora was curious as to how things would turn out but she was even more curious of the warden himself. She had no clue as to why that man would want to speak with her other than trapping her in this cell where she assumed he felt she belonged. She wouldn't allow herself to be trapped, she couldn't be. She was here to get Jayson after all. If she herself could turn into a mythical creature she'd carry Jayson right out of there but sadly she couldn't only form into creatures of this day and age. Her eyes trained on him, she spoke up to Jayson. How well do you know that man? That warden?

Without taking her eyes off the helicopter, Veronica nods then she then spreads her wings wide and she then sprints in the direction of the helicopter. In the same instance the goo hits the helicopter and the guns veronica launched a fireball at the rear of the helicopter near the tail, as she runs she flapped her wings hard and fast enough for her to jump and take of abit into the air. Despite making it look easy it was difficult to take flight, and with the helicopter its did not help her, but she managed to do so. She flew away from the helicopter only to turn back around to get in abit closer to launch another fireball. This is one of those moments where it looked like she was more dragon then human, after letting out a roar.

The fireballs hit the gunship and the glue cannons disabled the guns. The fire melted the metal and the pilot began to loose control. Jacob smiled and applauded the show as the helicopter began to teeter and fall towards them all on the rooftop only to pivot at the last moment and slam into the stairwell access. The helicopter sat there for a moment and the men inside squirmed for freedom, but then their metal prison became a fiery metal prison and whatever was left of those men would have to be found in many places. Jacob turned his head to the warden who had ordered the elevators locked down "Maybe open those elevators back up?"

As Naomi shouted for her dragon friend, green goo shoot overhead stopping the Gatling gun in its tracks. "Yeah!" cheered the squid girl enthusiastically. Perhaps the warden wasn't so bad after all, she reflected. The rest of it unfolded as especially as Naomi had imagined. More so as a fireball hit the helicopter and Veronica took to the air. Naomi cheered and whooped at seeing her fly. Then the helicopter started to come down...towards the very stairs the guards had been herding them all towards. Not that she could get crushed per se, but the whole thing was in flames and she could certainly be burned. "Dive!" She shouted while taking her own advice and diving out of the way. As she stood up after and surveyed the flaming wreck where the stairs used to be, she only had one comment. "That was wicked!"

The Warden

The warden let her have her moment then gave the order for the anti-personnel goop to be used on Veronica. While he was thankful that she had dealt with the helicopter he was still the warden, and the rooftop prison yard was in full view of the city. It was just easier if he thanked her while the media wasn't watching. He looked at the smoke that was rising in the direction of the stairwell and silently cursed his luck, "And make two trips, Mr Freeman?" He scratched his chin, going through his options. "Open the freight elevator." It was old and rarely used but it was big enough to move them all without making two trips. He was particularly concerned about leaving Jacob alone, idle hands made the devils playthings and he just assumed he was carrying some sort of weapon based on his psych profile. "This way people." He led the four prisoners through a door, past the normal elevators and onto a larger box room. The doors to the freight elevator and the buttons for it had been painted over a long time ago, but a manual override in the security office had forced the doors open revealing the cobwebbed platform inside. He didn't look happy about the circumstances but had already decided it was the best course of action. He stepped on first, followed by guard who had exited his suit, then the prisoners, in varying states of freed.

"Can you see me?" He waved at the ancient camera and received static on his radio. Probably not a good sign all in all, but it was a bit late to go back now. "Take us down three floors." The doors closed behind them. There was a groan and the lift dropped about three foot before stopping suddenly, the breaks kicking in, but the lights giving out. The warden and the guard turned on flashlights. "Woah, Hello? Carefully take us down one floor." The wasn't even static on the radio this time, just silence. The elevator lurched again, dropping another few feet. There was a brief silence that descended on the group, and then outside something that sounded like metal straining, a high pitch whining that became more and more high pitched as the seconds ticked on. There was one more long moment of silence, then the cable holding the elevator snapped, the weight of the elevator and it's occupants was more than the brakes could take. They fell. Sparks invaded the top of the elevator and flashing lights danced by the slit in the door. They descended further than seemed possible, past the cells, into the forbidden floors, until finally... Kersploosh. The elevator hit water, breaking their fall temporarily. It didn't quite stop, just slowed and as it sank it started to fill with bitterly cold water. The warden was knocked off his feet and scurrying to find the torch he had dropped.

Jayson thought about the question. "I mean we've never had dinner. He can make contracts with people, tit of tat. I bought food, my food, and freedom within the walls for not escaping." He watched Veronica for a moment, his eyes lighting up as the flames hit the helicopter. "He's not a bad person, just someone doing their job. I didn't feel like escaping before now." He rubbed his palms together and watched the helicopter crash, there once was a time when he'd have revealed in that, but lately he'd found it all a little lacking. Something about his trip home had upset him deeply but he'd not been able to articulate it. Jacob didn't answer him so he didn't bother to oblige him and bite thought his handcuffs, the man either wanted to keep them on or was thoroughly antisocial. "Well done, V" Veronica, wrapped in the goo was pushed into line with the rest of them and he couldn't help but say something. "Freight elevator? What do you need one of those for in a prison?" He was just voicing what everyone was thinking. He wasn't really expecting an answer and was led along to the ancient death trap regardless.

He stood next to Naomi as the elevator attempted to descend. It didn't take a genius to realise that this was a bad idea. The guard who was with them either was so backwards he hadn't worked that out or was so intent on doing his job he didn't care. After the lift fell the first time, he had pulled out his gun and pointed it at them. Jayson held up his hands, but was more focused on the warden's failed attempts to get them out. "Don't tell them to move it. Get that gun off us and open the doors." He was shouting but stopped as the elevator lurched down a few more feet. He looked towards the ceiling, his ears straining as he heard the cable strain. He wasn't about to die, but gravity had other ideas and the cable snapped. He staggered and fell towards the guard with the gun, clawing his way up him as he tried to keep his balance. The elevator hit the water and he fell on top of the guard. He staggered back to his feet by this time the water on the other side of the doors was coming in at knee level and rising quickly. He picked up a torch that had rolled to his feet. "Guys?" He flicked the torch around as he tried to find his fellow prisoners. "Anyone injured? We need to get out of here fast!" He had no intention of drowning in a steel coffin today.

Thinking on Jayson's words, her eyes never left the man. She, of course, had no intention of speaking to him. She had nothing to give him and he had no right to ask anything of her. Him demanding to speak with her as he so casually did only set her mind off more, an obvious red flag waving in the back of her mind. Moving further into Jayson's collar as the Warden made them all move onto what seemed to be a very shitty freight elevator, Adora stayed securely hidden with full intent to make her move first chance she could. Her only motive was Jayson, to get him out and get back to her place away from here. But she wouldn't go killing everyone just to get him out, she was more patient than that and, frankly, more sane.

Glancing around as they all stood in the creaky elevator, Adora moved along Jayson's collar in order to be closer to his ear. This won't be good. She could hear the strain on the elevator's cables as they all stepped in and simply stood there. This place was too old for them all to be bunched up like this, or for the elevator to even be working. And as the Warden received static and crappy signal as he talked so could tell she was right. The first time the elevator lurched down, she held on tighter to his collar. Brace yourse- Being cut off by the elevator dropping down, she lost grip of his shirt and slammed up into the elevator's ceiling, making her return to her human form by default and slamming down hard onto some other man Jayson had referred to as Jacob. Rolling off of the person rather quickly, she stood and ignored the pain shooting through her back as her eyes changed to cats eyes, making her able to see in the darkness. Moving to Jayson, she rubbed her lower back slightly. Well, that was fun. Groaning a bit, she looked at the doors. I can deal with that, just get everyone to give me a little room.

After crashing the helicopter, veronica flies over and lands in front of the warden and stands up straight, she then lowers her head forward slightly, but she is suprised with the first contact with the goo, restraining her , surprisingly enough she is relaxed when this happens and doesn't not struggle as the goo solidifies. Then gets in line with the others and then lead to a freight elevator. As they go down veronica looks around and then looks up at the ceiling "are we going to fall?" After asking that the cables slowly rip and snap and we all fall. She looks down after they hit the water and then looks to the warden, then to the others then back at the warden. And after a sigh she moves to the corner of the elevator, inhales and spews a stream of fire at the goo on her body.

Jacob joined the group on the freight elevator with a wicked smile spread across his face and not because he knew something they did not- well he did and he didn't but that wasn't why he was smiling, he was just really enjoying himself. The prison had been all sorts of mundane and at last gears were moving again- excitement sat around the corner. He thought nothing of the elevators construction and thought little of the first lurch towards the ground, but when the warden told them to slowly lower the group something changed.

A small laugh began to bubble within Jacob and while he tried to hold it in, he seemed to be struggling. A few seconds later when most were listening to the creaking of the freight elevator, there would be the soft sound of metal clanging against itself- almost indistinguishable from the sound of the restrained inmates moving. Then Jacob's laughter would bubble over and escape his mouth as they began to fall. When they hit the ground someone had landed on top of Jacob but they moved quickly enough that it didn't impede the design of the now freely moving Jacob who's restraints would sit at on the elevator floor. Plans he'd act on while the others were trying to pry open the doors. He was curious to see what would happen if they opened the doors while they were so submerged, but not curious enough to be distracted.

"I've seen enough horror movies to know where this is going?" Naomi commented after the Warden only received static on his radio, but ordered them to go down anyway. In classic Naomi fashion, she was rather looking forward to the other shoe dropping. She didn't need to wait long. They suddenly dropped a few feet before grinding to a halt. Naomi was grinning. It wasn't as if she had bones to break. Flashlights flicked on shortly after the lights in the elevator and Naomi found one of the guards pointing his gun. Unlike Jayson, she didn't raise her arms. "Hey, it's not like we made the elevator get stuck. That's not going to help anything." Despite her words, she could totally see Jayson or Jacob somehow being behind the elevator breaking. The words hardly left her mouth before the ground vanished beneath her feet. "Weeee!" Someone else was laughing, others screaming, though she couldn't tell who. The beams of light created a mini raven in the elevator as the guards were flung about. When it was all said and done, Naomi found herself being crushed under power armour. Well, crushed was relative as her body squished and moulded around the power armour. Coldwater started rushing in while Naomi crawled out from under the guard. "I think you have a leak in your basement Warden." She pointed out unhelpfully. Drowning wasn't exactly a concern for her, though she didn't know what happened to their contract is the warden died. Would they all be free, or would Naomi be bound to this prison for the rest of her days? It seemed Adora was on the case in any event, as she asked them all to give her some room. Naomi started to comply but the bright light of fire lit up the small elevator, coupled with extreme heat. "Whoa! Careful hot stuff, it's crowded in here!"

JAYSON WRIGHT

The warden, following the torch but not quite standing properly reached out to grab it from Jayson but missed and grabbed his arm instead. Jayson struck him in the head with the torch rendering the warden unconscious, it was a lucky strike more than anything and he immediately regretted it but also felt that if the was to try and take charge they would all probably drown out of spite. As his contract didn't release it was a pretty safe bet to assume that he wasn't dead, though getting him back into the prison alive with him now immobile would take some doing. He swore before reaching down to make sure he wouldn't drown. "Veronica, dip it in water it'll loosen the goo. That's how the doctor got it off me." He didn't bother shining the torch her way, the fire was a clear indicator for what she was doing, her burning their shared air wasn't a pleasant thought. "NOBODY MOVE!" The guard was pointing a gun at them, water was already pooling around their shins and Jayson looked over and then shone the light on the door. "Jacob, I believe negotiations are your field of expertise." A wet gun was no danger to any of them but why take the risk, the guard pointed the firearm at Jacob. "Or was that wrestling in the men's something else entirely?" He grinned. "Adora, you've got all the room your going to get. If you get the door, Naomi, do you think you can find something to jam it?" He reached down and pulled the warden up, then looked at him and changed his mind. "Veronica? Can you give me a hand with him... Probably better to keep him alive, you know. He is still the warden." He doubted any of them would know, but there was always the chance that killing the warden wouldn't erase the contracts. He had grown up around deviants and knew nothing was ever straightforwards with them.

Adora slid her gaze over to the guard before an unexpected snort left her, making her smirk. No way in hell are you shooting that wet thing in here. Removing her attention from the idiot trapped in there with them, she then gave a brief nod to Jayson as
he confirmed her space before moving as closer to the door as she could. Given the space around her she couldn't completely transform, even if she wanted to, so she simply braced herself as her arms changed into that of a gorillas and she slammed her fist into the metal to dent it. The structure was quite old so it wasn't that hard to do so, but Jayson was correct that it would need to be propped open. Squeezing her fingers into the opening, Adora listened to the metal squeal as she forced the doors apart to give them enough space to get out. It did make the water rise, however, so they'd need to move quickly. Everybody out.

Nobody move? Jacob laughed at the guard waving his wet gun around at all of the prisoners. Jayson deferred to him for negotiations and so Jacob held his arms out and bowed to the guard as if to show he meant no harm in some very old way. Then Jacob began to approach the guard who seemed to tense a little more with every step Jacob took. "I'm not gonna hurt ya," Jacob said with a small laugh that certainly did nothing for his credibility. "It won't hurt at all." Jacob took another step towards the guard believing the gun to be beyond use but before the theory could be tested, Adora broke open the doors. Jacob moved away from the guard towards Adora and the others to see what was going to happen next.
