Danzik had found amusement in that evening after evening the green sat out on her ledge, patiently waiting for the blue that would be coming to join her at any moment.
You may be just a little fond, dear. she nudged with her mind and the green nudged back affectionately in turn.
Only a little? she thrummed with amusement at the jab, though all thoughts pulled away from her rider as the practically shimmering blue form of Iriseth glided in to land by her, bringing the green scrambling up to a sitting position from the basking sprawl she'd been in before. She crooned sweetly in greeting, swooping one wing out in the same way a human would an arm that they were going to loop around another's back to beckon them closer.
Such sweet words, Iriseth! You need not balance so and wait for my invitation. My ledge is yours as well, love. she bid him closer, waiting until he was more situated on the ledge before she gently nudged her head against the side of his.
How was your day? Her own was always full of such silly things - Wing drills, responsibility. Yes, she was proud that she could make her Danzik soar so, but they seemed so boring compared to even the most simple things that Iriseth had to share with her.
