Jack chuckled at Lala's remark about playing her cards right. "Yeah, I never really got into video games that much... I'm more of a gambler myself. I've made a lot of money playin' blackjack and Texas Hold 'Em. Card counting technically isn't cheatin'... it's just bein' wise, but the casinos will still ban you if they think you're a little too wise for their bottom line . The trick to count cards, but to not make it obvious... Make stupid mistakes and let yourself lose on purpose every now and then, to throw 'em off your trail."
Jack then grinned at Bunny's remark about kidnapping. "Well, you'll just have to wait and see about that, wontcha?" he asked, starting the engine of his truck. Lynyrd Skynyrd blared from the stereo system, but he immediately reached over and turned it off. He'd rather talk with his new friend as he drove to the restaurant. Plus, he didn't think she'd share his taste in music. As he pulled out of the Cerise shopping district and out onto one of Soleil's main arterials, he glanced over at her. "Don't take this the wrong way hun... but you smell really good!" he said, smiling "...and I can tell from your scent that you ain't exactly human. But that's okay, neither am I. I'm what you'd call a lycanthrope... or a werewolf." He then let out a howl. He made his hand into a claw, playfully 'mauling' Lala on the arm. "Rawr!" He then laughed "How about you Lala, what are you if you don't mind me askin'?"
Soon enough, they arrived at Downtown Soleil. And there it was... the 'Make it Tso' restaurant. He pulled his truck up in front, then parked... His truck was raised high off the ground, so he walked around to the passenger's side door and opened it, offering his hand to Bunny as he helped her down. He continued to hold her hand as he walked with her into the restaurant.
As soon as he stepped inside, the delicious scent of various kinds Asian cuisine hit his nostrils, making his mouth water. Standing at Bunny's side, he looked over the menu while he waited to be seated. He loved the sheer variety they had here - if he wanted, he could get Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese all in one plate. |

xxxxIt was yet another rainy day on the island and Miyu decided she would go out to eat and stay indoors this time. This was partly because she wasn't sure if it would storm. The other reason being that she wanted to read the book she wasn't able to the other day.
While walking to the destination in mind, she realized something, coming to a halt. I forgot to ask for the girls number...ah how could I have been so stupid. But at least we exchanged names and she seemed nice. I'm sure I'll meet her again. The island can't possibly be that big. She was so knowledgeable as well... I definitely could learn from her. Would she go to the park often? Hmm I'll have to look there on different days. With this new thought in mind, she finished her walk to 'Make It Tso'.
Walking into the restaurant and closing her umbrella, she waited to be seated, asking for a table in the corner by the window. Miyu was still very scared and wary of others. Even if she was kind to them, it didn't help her anxiety. Placing down her book, she picked up the menu, having already ordered some water. Woa...the menu is bigger than I thought it would be. Ah...I should learn the language as well. It would be fun to learn a new language and about another culture. The food here looks really good as well. I definitely should have come here sooner. Hmm what should I have though. I cant just order it all...I would go broke. Let's see...should I try to be daring with something I'm not sure I'll like once I eat it, or go with a safe route...hmm decisions...

"Agh!" Lysander huffed in annoyance as he walked through the door after some girl. He hadn't been paying close enough attention to the weather reports and didn't dress as properly for the rain as he should have; leaving his umbrella at home. Or...his hotel rather. He made sure to steer clear of Tyrese while parading around his hotel because he knew things might be a little awkward between them for a while after handing him the news about his sister. The blonde made sure not to nose around his business unless he was wanting to spend time with his niece. Every once in a while, if they happened to run into each other, he would quip about something to annoy the wolf, but otherwise kept his distance. He was dealing with his own emotions on the subject so it's not like he had much energy to be his normal playboy self. Even though he drove himself in his imported car he still managed to get soaked from the downpour between the parking lot and the front door. That's what he gets for being unprepared.
Running his icy hands through his drenched hair, he managed to squeeze out most of the water onto the floor.The threshold was already wet thanks to people coming in and out, but now he added his own little puddle. When he was finished, he flagged down a waitress who was bustling by, and got a menu so he could seat himself. There weren't many people here, but they all probably had the same idea of getting a nice hot bowl of soup on this dreary day. While he wasn't a bad cook himself, he didn't have his kitchen, or the time to be cooking up a storm. With running his realty business, planning his twin's funeral, becoming the manager of The Cut N' Stab salon, and remodeling his home, he was a busy man. Today was sort of a day off for him with the weather halting most plans he currently had. He had received the call about his new employment earlier in the morning, near about the time he woke up. Since he had decided to kind of take a sabbatical from his main line of work to focus on other things, he decided to get a job to continue to have something to do during the day.
Seated across from the girl that walked in before him, Lysander looked up through his wet bangs to give the girl a once over. He hadn't seen her face as he walked in, only the back of her head. An amused, maybe slightly pervy, smirk spread across his lips as dirty thoughts poured into his mind at the double meaning of looking at the back of her head. Okay, so maybe he wasn't entirely unlike himself. This one looked a bit younger than him, while Meg looked about the same age, if not older. He would have to take that woman up on her plea to have him teacher how to be a proper stripper for Neon Lights. He had never been opposed to it, it was just weird that he wasn't in his own space at the moment with all the remodeling. Turning his ruby gaze back downward, he began to scan over the menu.

xxxxBefore going to her seat, Miyu hadn't exactly been sure if there had been someone behind her or not because of how often she got into her thoughts. She wasn't really concerned in the first place as she tried not to make too much eye contact.
The girl was too absorbed in the menu anyway. Finally, she decided what she wanted to eat and decided to call the waiter over so she could order. However, she couldn't avoid looking up from the menu in her hands for a moment and straight into the eyes of the male across from her in order to do this. Her ruby eyes meeting his crimson ones.
She felt a shiver run through her body. Especially at the slight twitch of his lips that resembled a smirk which spread across his lips for a moment. Miyu was more or less startled. Why is he looking in this direction? Do I have something stuck on me? How long has he been starring? Why is he smirking like that? Do I need to wave? Do I look like someone he knows? Oh maybe he just wanted to order as well and our eyes happened to meet. Yes...that seems like the most reasonable. I shouldn't worry too much. I'm sure it's nothing...right?
The poor girl hadn't realized she hadn't been breathing until she let out a sigh of relief as the male's gaze left hers and went back to his menu. She had been completely sucked into his gaze. It was almost as if he could have see into her mind or soul. To her though it also felt like a starring contest that she somehow managed to win. Gathering her wits, she managed to call out to the closest waiter in a quiet voice, ordering some traditional beef pho. Miyu figured this would be the best choice. A warm yet filling dish on a rainy day.
Now that she was aware of the presence across from her, she began to grow curious. However she knew it was rude to stare so she looked out the window. I wonder what he'll order. It seems like the few people here have gotten something warm. It's a smart choice. Hehe food probably can warm even the coldest heart I bet or cool down the hot heads. That's a funny thought~ There her mind went...daydreaming about the randomnest and strangest things.

Casting a casual glance to the tiny girl in front of him as he read over his menu, Lysander let out a small chuckle as he noticed her trying not to look at him. It was clear, his staring was making her uncomfortable as it did with everyone, but the timid ones always seemed to take it a little farther on the count of them having a hard time with social interactions. He wasn't a stranger to the demeanor, in fact it was one he enjoyed the most because of the reactions he got out of them. Socially awkward types always gave him the strongest reactions to the outlandish things he did. Occasionally the brave ones would too on account of their stubbornness but it wasn't nearly as often which had him bored rather quickly. Now that he had, basically, gotten her attention he needed to step up his game a little. Who would have guessed that a day out to grab a bowl of hot food would have led him to running into some prey to hunt? He certainly hadn't the intention for it, but he wouldn't pass it up now!
Pushing his chair back, head dipping slightly towards the table, he stood up and swung around the table with his menu in hand. Making large strides to the girl's table, without a word he took a seat across from her. With gleaming red eyes, he looked over to her as he dropped his elbow onto the table and rested his cheek against his fist. "Can I help you with something? I noticed you staring..." he asked, his voice laced with smooth amusement. It almost sounded like he was purring to a lover with the way he spoke so softly to her. Lysander was hoping for a grand reaction, though, settling for a simple blush would suffice. At least it would get his foot in the door to know which direction to take his new hunt. The predator could smell a catch from miles away it seemed, so well versed in the game that he was often asked to give pointers to others. Of course, he would never share his trade secrets lest he have competition. Though, he knew he'd always come out on top, he didn't like having to seriously compete for anyone's attention. He would if it would get him somewhere he wanted to go, but otherwise he wouldn't waste his time. Always and forever the opportunist.
This hunt, would just be for the fun of it all. He hadn't had a proper release since the news about his sister, to depressed to really give anyone attention. However, when opportunity knocked he was never one to keep the door shut. Maybe something other than getting wasted every night would do him some good. Of course, that had been his plan with Meg, but that could be saved for another day. What was stopping him from playing with two girls? Absolutely nothing! "Ya know, if you wanted my attention, you could have just asked for me to come over rather than being the silent type~" he said with a small chuckle. It was a little hard to play off being so nonchalant right now, but he had so much practice at the emotion that it wasn't out of his range either.

xxxxMiyu looked like a fish out of water gaping for air. Her mouth opening and then closing and then opening, etc. out of shock. At first only a hint of red had krept up into her cheeks because of embarrassment at being caught.
But then her entire face burst into flames in a vibrant blush at what he had said next. She was absolutely speechless. The poor girl had never had such an interaction with someone like this. She knew what flirting was, but it was beyond her comprehension that it would ever happen to her. Actually it couldn't be happening.
He was making fun of her right? That had to be it. But at the same time she was unsure. She couldn't hold a grudge because of what happened to her in the past. Everyone deserved a chance. But still! The audacity! The nerve of the male to just waltz over here to her like he owned the place. Though then again it was her fault for being caught starring. Even if half the time it was a blank stare as her mind went to la la land.
The girl wouldn't deny that the male seemed to be attractive in appearance. But she could care less about that. What were looks if you had a foul attitude? But there was also something about this male...unless well it could be his personality but could someone really be this outgoing and slightly over the top?
Barely finding her voice, she managed to stutter out. "E-excuse m-me? E-er...I-I'm n-naturally t-the s-silent t-type t-though? A-ah...s-sorry...u-uhm...s-starring...I w-was mind...m-my mind was...I was s-spacing out!" Miyu could hardly get her panicked and jumbled thoughts together enough to form a decent sentence. She was quickly denying that she had wanted his attention. Even if they pretty much had, had a starring contest and her being curious what he was going to order as well. But being curious was something completely different!

Amused, Lysander simply watched her stutter out a reply with a twinkle in his eyes. While no one had come to take their order yet, he was content to wait as he was going to enjoy himself in other ways. He cocked a brow in speculation when she mentioned that she was minding her own business with her staring. If that had been the case, she wouldn't have gotten caught in the first place. When she finished, trying to sound as adamant as possible about simply spacing out, the blonde CEO gave a hearty laugh. This was what he needed! It was a take away from the pain of loss that he was feeling everyday. In fact, he hadn't laughed in such away for what seemed like so long that it almost hurt his lungs to do so. It was that feeling that he knew it was a genuine one. "Staring into space huh?" he asked when he had finally calmed down. "Why stare into space when there much better things to look at down here~?" he purred once again as if he was talking about himself. He was of course, but in a very subtle way.
Slowly Lysander reached out with his free hand and brushed his finger tips along the back of this girls hand. "I'm Lysander," he introduced as his eyes wandered down to his hand against hers and the contrast in the colors of their skin. Quickly shifting his gaze back to her, there was a definite glow radiating from his eyes as he stared directly into her own red eyes. The gloomy weather outside made for the perfect backdrop to see such a glow. A natural reaction when feeling certain emotions, sometimes intentional and sometimes not. Either way, it gave him a mysterious vibe to the world around him and that only added to his mystique. Women -more often than men- seemed to go for it, but he wasn't going to judge. He swung whichever way got him what he wanted.

xxxxMiyki was frantically looking for a waiter to take her order...anything to stop or at least interupt this mess. The laugh from the male making her face turn into a darker shade of red. H-he's laughing at m-me! I-I didn't even say anything funny...I don't think. I mean it's true...sorta...I totally didn't want his attention! Maybe books were right and curiosity kills. Well hopefully it doesn't actually but rather leads to awkward situations like this. W-why me...I can't just leave though...that would be mean...hang in there Miyuki! I'm sure everything will be okay. Think positive...
Psyching herself up, a slight nod accidently showing as she muttered the last part to herself. Slightly forgetting for the briefest of moments that the male could possibly hear her. Well that and she had the habbit of speaking some of her thoughts outloud without realizing it. To the male's words, she tilted her head in the slightest. But I like space... A confused expression made itself across her face. Making it very clear she didn’t understand what he meant until a few moments later. Miyu was not good at hiding her expressions. One could say she was an open book at times. Therefore the horror, then shock, and then flustered embaresment showed on her face as if flipping through a notebook with animations.
She couldn’t believe someone would say something like that! Actually this was also her fault for her mind thinking of such a perverted thing. Even if she had told herself that couldn’t be possibly what he had been referring to. W-what? W-we just met! How could he make such a subtle innuendo...wait it was very subtle. WHY DID THAT EVEN CLICK IN MY BRAIN. MY POOR INNOCENCE. He's dangerous...definitely...though I mean it isn't like I haven't read romance books...but still...there is the chance he was talking about the lovely nature around. But the sky and what lies beyond it is more interesting to think about...so many mysteries. Though I do like to people watch...and observe. Miyu wouldn't give the male the complete pleasure to know that her mind had very briefly understood what he meant. Making out some sort of excuse again. Although it had already shown on her face. The look on her face said it all! This girl wasn't very good at hiding emotions at all and that made it all the better for him. Sure, he didn't like things too easy but at the same time he wouldn't pass up the opportunity. He was out of practice a little anyways. With work taking up all his time and now a bunch of other little things, and to add onto everything else his family problems...Lysander was off his game. For the most part. It wasn't like he was completely falling apart, he had definitely seen better days though. His skeptically amused smirk persisted as he watched her and what seemed like her thoughts racing a million miles a minute. Hitching a brow as she spoke, it was painfully clear that she hadn't put two and two together. Or maybe she had and was just playing dumb. There was no way she could be that naive about the way things worked! He had met a few of them in his time so it wasn't impossible, but the average person knew about the "birds and the bee's". He hoped. Lysander's fingers stopped tracing patterns on the back of her hand as she quickly snatched it away into her lap, his fingers still hovering above the table. "Mmmm~" he hummed at the sudden defensive pull back of her hands. A typical response from a stranger's touch.
"Miyuki...~" he purred out her name like chocolate dripping from his lips. Letting his tongue slip past his lips, he let the muscle run along in a fashion similar to someone having sugar on their lips. The tall blonde leaned in a little closer, placing his arms on the table to support himself. "Well, Miyuki, I could keep you warmer than anything on this menu," he added, eyes never wavering from her face. It was clear he wasn't talking about anything wholesome with the look he was giving her. His demeanor was just seeping with perverse intentions. Of course, he was not one to force. He would push and prod, but never force. Leaning his weight onto one arm to hold himself, he reached out towards her with the other and gently stroked her cheek, "You'd much be better suited for the luxury of my sheets~"

Poor Miyuki. Tears had slightly formed in her eyes. She really tried hard to think good about the male but right now, she continued to just think he was making fun of her and possibly bullying her. Well it could be considered sexual harassment. But the thought of someone even wanting to do such a vulgar act. Also she didn't think very well of herself in the first place. There was no way this male actually thought she was pretty or anything like that to flirt with. Or maybe he was just someone who hit on anything. Which could also be possible. But still. The last part she spoke was more of a squeak since she hadn't meant to say it outloud. But with her mind running on full, it was bound to happen.
Feeling the male invade her space yet again, and stroking her cheek, she leaned back away from him and looked around. Her voice raising a little while looking around. "E-Excuse m-me!!! W-waiter!" A-anybody?! Please come take our order...anything to interrupt...I-I don't want to give this person the wrong idea...I mean he still might be nice. But I don't get why he's saying such things...There's no way...especially with someone you just met...right? What in the world is this male thinking. Miyu appeared a bit more childish at the moment now, her cheeks slightly puffed as her entire body seemed to be in flames. One might as well have called her a tomato.

Lysander drew back a little, almost offended by her words. Bullying!? He was teasing! Mere taunting at best. There was a momentary glow from his eyes, ominous in its shade, but it quickly stopped as he brushed it off. This girl was not used to male attention, that was obvious, so it could be assumed that she might think he was bullying her. He remained silent as she called for help in the form of gaining a waiter's attention in the hopes it would save her from his hunt. It wouldn't. Slowly he leaned back into his seat, arm sliding away from her as someone approached them at the sound of her urgent plea. The blonde gave a gruff sigh in the form of blowing his bangs from his face as he waited impatiently for the boy to leave them. Though it would never show on his face, he was annoyed by the sudden interruption. Appearances were everything! At lease, according to his parents. He ignored everything being said up until the waiter turned to him and asked for his order. Lysander was quick to hand him the menu, "A dragon roll, wonton soup and a bottle of your best sake." He wasn't really that hungry but he was certainly ready to eat!
"You know Miyuki," he began, returning his full attention to her. "I could really use some company right now. You see, my sister just died and now I've got no one in the world..." He was speaking only half truths, but why would he tell her when he was trying to win his prize? Besides, he never saw his niece enough as it was. The blonde slumped a little in his chair and turned his attention to the gloom outside the building keeping them warm and dry. Perhaps he should just leave? Where would the fun in that be though? He could drive down to the beach and just watch the tide roll in...It was something Lillian liked to do. Pushing his lips to one side, a moan came from his throat as he thought. "I dunno about you, but I certainly wouldn't want to be alone with something like that. Who knows what I would do to myself..." he dragged on, letting her paint a picture of possibilities for herself.

xxxxMiyu was a bit suprised on how little the male wound up ordering. Well the sake was where she was surprised. Although she shouldn't have been. She wasn't even old enough to drink! Then again she didn't eat much either, although she could eat a lot if she put her mind to it. Not that she would. Instead she just ordered, giving the waiter the cash for her food in advance. "T-traditional Beef Pho to go p-please..."
Really the things he kept implying and saying! She was about ready to run away, having gotten her food to go. Until he spoke something that made her stop in her tracks. His sister had died?! She could only imagine what he might be feeling. She never had anyone she was really close to pass after all. No family either. But miyu was compassionate and kind. Maybe a bit too much sometimes. She read books about what happened to people who had lost loved ones. Even if some were fiction, and also had feelings of sadness.
Therefore she knew she probaly shouldnt leave the male alone in his sorrow. Who knew what mignt happen. She would hate to be the cause of someone being pusbed over the edge and not have helped them. Biting her lip, she reached in her purse and grabbed her notepad and a pencil, ripping out a sheet before writing her contact information. She hadnt used her phone since leri had left her so suddenly.I'm probably going to regret this...but I already paid and am ready to go...but if he suddenly...because I wouldn't stay...I guess it won't hurt right? To be a person to talk to? Er maybe a friend...I-I don't know... "U-uhm. Well.. I'm good at listening if you need someone to talk to. So before doing anything rash I guess you can call? Friend or something..." The girls voice got quieter as she hesitantly but finally gave the male her information. She was still warry of him but it was clear he hadnt been bullying her. Or at least she thought that way. He was just hurting. Well that's how he made it appear anyway now. Miyu being how she was, would be just the type of person to fall for this kind of trap. She just really hoped she wouldn't regret her decision later. But as she always taught herself, everyone deserved a chance.
