Jacob has no powers, nor has he ever needed them. In place of powers he has a mind that is vastly superior to the majority of the world. It is a mind that calculates, plans, reworks and rebuilds everything it comes into contact with. Jacob is not a threat because he has power, he is a threat because he knows what to do with the strengths he does have.

What is their personality like?
Calculated, methodical, unpredictable, insane. These are the four words most commonly used when people are asked to describe Jacob. Some have called him a force of nature and others have called him the devil. It is hard to describe a man so deeply demented but let it be said that there are few like him. Jacob is a man who always has a plan. Even when the plan falls apart.
What is their backstory?
Jacob's past is something that is frequently questioned. When he was first arrested the police did everything they could to find out who he was or why he looked the way he did. Jet black hair, paper white skin, blood red lips. None of it was makeup. There were theories that went around. Some theories ranged from the idea that he was from the circus to the thought that a gang had tortured him and and abnormal appearance was the result. The truth is something between. Jacob's appearance is the result of experimenting but it is the result of his own experiments. He was trying to develop a gas that would stimulate the mind to heal- which he planned to sell to hospitals- and there was a leak in the container he was storing the mixture in. Over a month the slow exposure to the gas tainted his mind and altered his body until he looked the way he does now. Lesson: If you are making a gas that affects the brain, make sure the container is not leaking. That is all that is known for certain. His parents, loyalties, and how he became who he is today are unknown. He was arrested following a terror wave across Chicago. That was the last thing anyone heard of him.
