There is a rumor that Sonic WAS going to be in Melee, but Sega said no. It's unlikely that Sonic will be in the next one to, because he's a Sega game, and even though Sega doesn't make systems anymore, It's still a different compony than nintendo. Super Smash Bros is an all nintendo game, all original characters, all character used only on nintendo syastems. Sonic has been on other systems and is not nintendo, so, we might not be seeing him soon.

Sega is 3rd party, therefore Sonic is 3rd party, therefore he won't be in SSBM nor SSBR(unlikely at least.) Unless Nintendo makes Sega 1st/2nd party Sonic won't be in. And besides all characters of SSB/SSBM is 1st party in order to keep the purity of Nintendoism(wtf...) what I would like to see is MPH characters for SSBR.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I WISH YOU WERE WRONG!!!
Just like everyone else, I wish Sonic was on the game. He'd be the best character!

Phantom_Renegade ssb characters are from nintendo brand name games, not from third party companies i mean sega-nintendo not the same
