My name is Castielle Bayne, but please call me Castielle or Cas. I am a 27 year old librarian at my town's library. I am always there because I own the place and have a pretty large apartment upstairs. I am a bit of a shy natured man and can sometimes get a little embarrassed over the smallest things but I assure you, I equipped to handle my title well enough. As for my history, well, my father started a little library when I was young and as I got older, it became grand. He spent a lot of time here, as did I, and since it was just us, we were okay with that. He put a lot of work into the place and I believe, that even though he has passed, he is still here, sitting in one of the aisles and reading one of his favorite books. I never married and rarely get out of the library so my social life hasn't really changed. I was homes schooled too so that didn't help me either even though it is why I am so smart. I guess there isn't much else to say about me. I am just a quiet librarian that lives in a quiet library in a quiet town, and I like it that way.

The story:
It is a Yaoi RP between my character Castielle and your character. With this one in particular, the story can go in any direction depending on your character's behavior. They could be a troublemaker that Cas has to deal with daily, or even an assistant that helps him with the library. It all depends on what kind of character you want to make.

If you are interested in the rp and want to try out one of the ideas or even supply an idea of your own with the same host theme, please pm me! If you want to do that rp via pms, I am okay with that as well. Pms is unlimited but I will only be looking for one person for the 1x1 in the forum. If it is taken, I will state as such!

P.S. Please click picture for his profile.

Name: Henry Johnson

Nickname: N/A

Age: 29

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Personality: hard-working, selfless, protective, tends to overthink a bit too much at things, also has a soft spot for cute things (like animal plushies) and has a preference for quiet places

Looks like: light cyan hair with gray eyes, usually wears casual outfits (but also has formal outfits reserved for his waiter job.)

Bio: He was born to an American family but is actually one-fourth Filipino in his bloodline thanks to his maternal grandmother. While his childhood and family life has been mostly normal, he actually has a dream, and that is to become a novelist. Because of that, he has a small collection of books in his room, and he carries at least one of them to read in his spare time, especially during school breaks. In fact, he is also an avid collector of plushies since he was ten, and he hadn’t stopped ever since (though he may have to donate some to charity to save space).

He had graduated college with English as his major course and is currently working full-time as a waiter in a seafood restaurant. But he is also working on his first novel, and is looking around for inspiration on how the plot will go on from there. Hence, the library will become one of his favorite hot spots if he is not occupied with his job.

Seme, Uke, or Seke: Seke (Seme on the most part)

It was going to be another quiet day, at least he hoped for it to be. He loved the peace since it reminded him of the times he and his father would sit and read together. The man's voice portraying the character's feelings as he read his books to Castielle. His memories of his father were the most precious to him as was the building his father built. His father put his love and care into this very building, which was made so that Castielle would always have a safe place of peace. The books lined up on each shelf neatly, the small stack of library cards that he would pass to the new visitors and every piece of furniture that used to be Castielle's playground or fort of books when the library was closed for the day. Every nook and cranny of it all was filled with his father's hard work and dedication...his passion for the job he loved; and it was all he had left in memory of his dear father.

After letting the sun grace his skin through the open blinds a little longer, Castielle sits up in bed and stretches out with a loud yawn. Another day full of bliss starts now. Throwing his legs over the edge of the bed, he slides down until his bare feet touch the floor and he is able to get his footing. Smiling affectionately, he greets the framed photo of his father and mother on his nightstand, before he walks toward his dresser and reaches out his hand for his glasses so he could slide them in place against his face. He then looked down as he opened the drawer of his dresser and pulled out clean underwear before shutting it and making his way to his closet for a shirt and pants. After some consideration, he decides on a nice light blue dress shirt, turquoise tie, black vest and black slacks to go with it. When he was neatly dressed, the man left his bedroom so he could retrieve a few books he took from the library that needed to be returned, and so he could eat breakfast.

Typically, after he ate, he immediately opened the library to the public. One thing his father stressed to him as a child was that although he may have wanted to keep the whole building to himself, it was also for the public. They may own it, but it was not theirs alone, it was for everyone who finds solace in a book.
'You were always so kind father...'

Inside of his fortress was a special door that opened to stairs which led to his apartment on the upper level. Every time he thought about the fact that he never had to leave the library like the others, he couldn't help but smile. Unlike everyone else, he could stay and pick out any book he chose, to read it in peace wherever he would like. No one could have been as lucky as he was to live inside one of their most favorite places in the town.

When he was done doing his usual morning routine in his home upstairs, he exit with the small stack of books in hand and locked the door behind him. He descends down the stairs until he reaches another door which led out into the library itself. He steps past the threshold before turning around and shutting the door so that he could lock it. On the front of the door for people to read, was a sign that he had hanging with a chain. It wasn't really needed since the doors at the bottom and the top of the stairs were both locked throughout the day, unless he went upstairs. But, he wanted to be sure that people knew it wasn't a door for the bathroom or a spare room they had. The sign reads, "Please Do Not Enter, This Is An Employee Area Only."

After making sure that the door was securely locked, Castielle began to walk quickly through the shelves and place each book exactly where they belonged. Of course, he had every section completely memorized by now. When everything looked in place, he glances at his watch before smiling and walking towards the doors to unlock them. He liked to open everyday at a specific time and so far, he has not been late once. It wouldn't be long before people came in since the library was normally pretty busy.

As he finished the opening process, the librarian began about his next daily routine of cleaning dust off of shelves, taking care of fellow readers that came to check out books, putting the books where they belong and making sure that all due books were returned on time. It was the same routine everyday, and that was why he liked it. A routine meant that there was less chances for errors.
"Another peaceful day." He uttered to himself as he set another stack of books which were turned in on the table.

Henry's shifts as a waiter was hectic those past couple of weeks, more so when the seafood restaurant had a buffet special and customers were rolling in, most even with families. It didn't even help that there was one time in which a kid accidentally broke the glass and the mother freaked out so hard that she slapped the child on the face. Henry had reassured the kid that everything was fine while having to calm the woman down, but the lady escorted the child away to the vehicle with an iron grip after paying the bill. While he understood that kids should learn from their mistakes, parents tend to go a bit overboard with the reaction. Because of that, he made sure to move the glasses away from the edge of the table, because that may be the reason why the accident occurred, just to be safe. He had become a bit too paranoid also in ensuring the safety of the customers.

After working for two weeks straight, he was given a few days off as compensation for covering up the shifts, and on this first day, Henry was back to working on his novel. The novel was about a male cross-dresser who had to pose as a maid in a cafe to help his friend from being coerced into an arranged marriage proposal. But the problem was that he was at the part on which the friend was developing feelings for the main protagonist. Even music wouldn't help him much in this current situation. Because of that, he chose to head back to the library, more so when he had a few materials to return, and a few more to borrow for inspiration.

The cyan-haired man left his studio-type room situated within an apartment complex, dressed in his casual red T-shirt, dark blue denim jeans and a pair of sneakers. The cab was the transportation he used; the distance between his house and the library was five kilometers, though the traffic at the streets was much of a downside. Right now, the road was congested as hell, so it took him twenty-five minutes before he finally arrived at the destination, compared to the average time of ten to fifteen minutes. Henry took a deep breath, having to wipe the sweat off his forehead since the weather outside was a bit too warm, before stepping through those doors to commence on the search. But first, there was someone who he wanted to check since the last conversation was a long time ago before the hectic shifts had begun for the aspiring novelist.

It wasn't long before his gray eyes were set on the cute librarian, working hard as usual. He had found him fascinating, but he had only known him for almost a month, so starting off as friends would be a start. Approaching the male with a smile, he gave the other a gentle wave. "Hello, Cas. It has been a while. How are things working well in the library so far?"

Tucking hair behind his ear, Castielle read over the back of a new book, his arms holding a basket of new collections. Whenever there was a shipment of new reads, Castielle was filled with excitement. There was always the chance of him being able to read something that he had never read before. The thought of starting something anew was always a nice feeling to him. But his excitement was cut short as the librarian heard a voice approaching him. His eyes lifted over his glasses before he set the box of books down. Lifting his right hand, he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. He recognized this man as a regular, but it has been some time since he had last seen him.

Though he wasn't exactly anti-social, Castielle wasn't very good at talking to people. The only time he could make conversation with such conviction and confidence is when it had to do with the library or books. So, after his first initial reaction of recognition, his cheeks immediately heat up and he was still pushing up his glasses with his fingers, even when they were already pressed against his face. What had caused this sudden embarrassment? If there was two types of people that Cas couldn't handle, it was intimidating types and smart men. This man was both of these things wrapped up with a beautiful body. It was the main reason that he remembered him almost immediately. Last time he saw him, he was most definitely attracted to him. Which wasn't a normal occurrence for the librarian. His father used to joke that he had to be asexual, because his attention only had ever been with books. He almost had his suspicions since he often spoke to females with ease. But he was never good with men, and he could never figure out why. He pretty much just chalked it up to him feeling like he couldn't compare to someone else. But...when this person popped up out of nowhere...it was a different story."I-Its been f-fine. J-just quiet as usual. How ab-bout you?" He managed to stumble out as he advert his gaze to the books on the counter that he had set down. He now wished that he hadn't set the one he was skimming down so he could hold it to his chest. it was pounding so hard that he was sure it could be seen through his shirt. Or was that his imagination?

Right now, he really wished that his longest employee Selene was here to help him out. She was a woman in her mid thirties that used to work for his father and continued to work here, even when Castielle took over. She was a kind lady, and he found that she was always saving him in a situation where he felt like melting away. She was the only person whom he could talk to comfortably. But, alas, he let her take a vacation with her kids...so he was alone and totally screwed. There was no running away this time. No one to bail him out. Maybe he should really take her advice in seeing a therapist to find out why he was a shy mess around people, but mostly men in general. Did it have something to do with him losing his father, the only parent he had?

With his cheeks still aflame, Castielle allows himself to peek over his glasses, glancing at the other man as his mouth opened to speak again. What should he say in this situation? Should he just say he was busy and walk really fast away? No, that was rude, and he had no reason to give the man a cold shoulder to begin with. Lifting his hands, he presses his index fingers together nervously.
"U-Um...y-you said before that you are w-writing a novel right? H-how is that going?" He asked timidly in as best of a complete sentence he could manage right now. Maybe if he talked a bit more than last time, he could warm up to the man, kind of like he did with Selene?

Based on the body language displayed by Cas, together with the stuttering, he was definitely feeling too nervous, which Henry couldn’t blame since that was part of the other’s personality. If anything, the waiter slash aspiring novelist was entirely diverging from the other; the cyan-haired male could be approachable because of his selfless demeanor, a trait that was a plus for his waiter job. But still, he had some flaws, and overthinking on things was one of them. While his attention to detail was superb, there were times in which it would go overboard and some people would have to keep him grounded if necessary.

Oh, how he wanted to play around with the librarian and tease him, but no, Henry would be overstepping such boundaries, so he settled with a relaxed posture, hands on the back of his head with his elbows sticking upward, though his eyes never left the other’s face. “Being the usual self, huh? My shifts were recently hectic those past couple of weeks and it’s only now that I managed to relax a bit more,” he spoke. If anything, the image of the librarian’s face flashed in his mind at least once a day, proof that he was thinking about him. But he shouldn’t let that be a distraction at work. There was one time on which his mind drifted to his young nephew being sick and because of that, the chef had to scream at him to serve the food. It may be of a diverging point, but he got the feeling of having to be snapped back to reality.

At the question about how his novel’s progress, Henry sighed wistfully, his mouth forming a tiny pout and hands returning to the sides. “I’m in a stump, recently, so I may need something else for inspiration to keep the plot going. And oh, before I forget…" he rummaged through his backpack for the books that he had to return, gently placing them on the counter. “I’m returning them. Today’s two days before the due date.” Better than having to pay the overdue fee. The topic was then changed to something else, trivial but making sure that the other was feeling okay. “Say, have you eaten something for breakfast? Thinking of giving you something simple for dessert soon, like the snickerdoodles recipe that I checked out online the other day.”

Truly, it had been a habit for Henry to give Cas sweets every now and then. The waiter always aimed for something easily portable and delectable during those times. One may say that it is one way for the waiter to show a prowess of his baking abilities, as long as the librarian may be okay with it on an occasional basis.

Cas wasn't really sure what he meant by "Usual self" but said nothing as he let the man continued, answering Castielle's question over his book that he had been righting. If Cas were to be honest, he was quiet excited about reading it one day. Whenever he conversed with Henry before, he always seemed so intelligent and well versed. talking to someone so bright was always welcoming to Cas, even if it made him completely flustered at the same time. His father did say that sometimes Cas needed to put down a book and check-in with the world around him. Being an introvert all the time could be unhealthy and he wanted to see Cas surrounded by friends. One was always happy when they had those who cared around them. At least, that is what his father told him. Cas just couldn't see the overall appeal in being around a large amount of people.

there was a brief mention of dessert, which ultimately, made Castielle perk up in interest. Though he wasn't normally a huge fan of sweets, Henry always brought crazily delicious desserts for Castielle. He wasn't why he would do such a thing, but he was still grateful. And maybe now was a good time to get to know the author while he had other associates taking care of everything."U-Um...w-would you l-l-like to come up for some tea or something? I f-feel bad that you always bring me sweets, but that I never get the chance to return your k-kindness." Never had Castielle invited someone up to his own apartment in the library before. because that was his personal space, and he wanted that to be separate from his library business. But he really felt like he should return the kindness to Henry who always seemed to go out of his way for the shy librarian.

Playing with his sleeves, Castielle flushed furiously, his gaze shifting to the side as he spoke again with a timid and nervous voice. Was this really okay? or was it kind of too inappropriate to invite someone up to his place? It was only with the purest of intentions! He just wanted to treat Henry for a change.
With his cheeks still aflame, Castielle allows himself to peek over his glasses, glancing at the other man as his mouth opened to speak again. What should he say in this situation? Should he just retract his offer awkwardly and walk away?
"Y-You don't have to if you d-don't want to or if you are b-busy. I just wanted to extend t-the offer to you in return for your repeated kindness to m-me."
