1) All characters gain the following skill equal to their insight level. Lore: Their Clan with an emphasis in their family. This skill does not add to insight and cannot be increased unless it is bought as a normal skill.
2) Additional equipment that characters may not afford may be obtained if the player writes an In Character petition to their Daimyo to obtain such equipment. The petition only needs to be a paragraph in length.
3) School advancement is to be handled as follows. Schools train their style as a natural progression from one rank to the next. When one character reaches the next insight rank, they receive an epiphany of how the next school rank should be and thus gain the next school rank.
