Main Character: Terashi Neil Toumei

Age: 29
Gender: Male
Status: Trainer, Psychic Channeler
Hometown: Castelia City, Unova Region
Background: Terashi was born to a Silph Co. employee and his trophy wife - not exactly rich, but well enough off. Both parents cared greatly for their only son, since their second child went missing at a very young age. As a result, upon reaching age ten, they were adamant about not letting Terashi travel the region on his own. Terashi was passionate about Pokemon, however, and insisted on going. The Toumei family shortly agreed to compromise, and Terashi was allowed to travel with his father to the Kanto region to become a student in the Pokemon Trainer's School in Viridian City. During his four-year tenure there, he developed a knack for sensing a Pokemon's strengths and was very successful in battling his classmates via simulations. As a result, his teacher recommended him to Kanto Academy, where he put his brainpower to work. He spent five years there - one year more than his time at Pokemon Trainer's School - collecting a variety of degress from competitive battling and general Pokemon information to regional geography, Pokemon-based technology, and so forth. Upon graduating, he received a custom Pokedex - a joint gift from his father and the Academy itself, and his starting Pokemon, Oshawott - a joint gift from his mother and Professor Jupiter.
After joining Team Snagem for some time, with the intent of making the world a better place, he eventually left to collect the Unova Region's gym badges. However, after avenging himself at that Striaton City Gym, he was ambushed in Route 3 by Cipher grunts. On top of having his pokemon stolen, he was knocked unconscious and suffered a one-year coma. Part of the reason the coma lasted so long was because of a bead of Celestial Chi implanted in his head by mischevious ghost Pokemon during a field trip to Lavender Town, and a few concussions suffered while on Snagem's payroll. Upon awakening - and learning certain facts, he raced to Mt. Silver. However, he was stopped at Goldenrod City after running into an old enemy and, later, a few close friends. Together, they stopped a local gang with Cipher sponsorship from opening a black market on stolen pokemon. With the Ralts he rescued from the team, he made his way to Team Snagem, to rejoin the gray group as a means of continuing his efforts to make the world a better place, continuing his badge run in Unova in the process.
It wasn't long after Terashi rejoined the team that he discovered Keiko's feelings for him, which made it harder for him to ignore his feelings for her. They became a couple after that, though it was a number of years before he proposed to her. Before that, though, they wound up adopting, or being adopted by, a fellow Snagem, Ulla, who became their oldest daughter. A year or two after that, Terashi and Keiko married, and conceived their first biological daughter, Yuna, during the honeymoon, upon which Terashi swiftly interred both of them into Sinjoh during the pregnancy to ensure nothing happened to prevent his first biological daughter from being born. Four months later, Keiko went into labor, surprising both of them. This led both of them to leave Sinjoh and seek medical attention in Unova, where Yuna was born. They then vised both of their parents, as they had a LOT of explaining to do, which led to the discovery of Keiko's biological sisters. After meeting them, the two parents finally went home. They proceeded to raise Yuna in Team Snagem's headquarters while their work for the team continued.
Personality: Terashi has a strong moral compass, and is resolute in attacking what he believes to be evil by righting wrongs and protecting the innocent, even if close friends disagree with him on the matter. However, due to spending half of his childhood in a Castelia City apartment, he suffers from a bit of naiveté, and is willing to trust most when first met. Terashi is as passionate now as he was in his youth about Pokemon, and takes great joy in strategically battling others, though he has a tendency to go easy on friends and especially those who are new at training Pokemon. When not training or studying Pokemon, he enjoys spending time with friends, be they human or Pokemon. However, he rarely feels comfort when doing nothing - because he believes that that's the most evil thing a good person could do.

Channeling Abilities [Current Skill: Intermediate]
Artifact: Betyl Staff
A stone made of unknown material that had become inert as a casualty of the Black Hole Incident. It has since been refined by Terashi's rededication to Psychic Channeling and formed into a staff, like some kind of fantasy magic item for some reason.. By focusing on the orb, he can connect mentally to certain Psychic-type Pokemon in his team to channel with them. Also the staff part can retract into the orb.
Innate Ability: Empathy
So long as Rala hasn't fainted or isn't too far away (like in another region or in the Snagem Network, for example), Terashi can sense the emotions of other living beigns - primarily humans, Pokemon, and that technicolor rainbow in-between. This ability is strongest while Rala is by his side, though the range of the ability is decent while she's in her Pokeball.
First Move: Levitation (Rala)
Gardevoir move by naturally levitating a few inches off the ground. Though this requries the use of Psychic-type energy, their bodies are so light that the energy this requires are negilgible. By tapping into his connection through Rala, Terashi can levitate through the air much like Rala does. As he has the body of a relatively healthy adult man and is thus much heavier than Rala, she struggles to keep his body aloft. This move is best used in emergencies, as running can agitate his chest injury and stall the healing process. As Terashi improves as a channeler, Rala will slowly become accustomed to the extra weight and will have an easier time helping him levitate over time, allowing him to levitate at faster speeds and for longer.
Second Move: Psionic Storm (Bruenor)
Terashi can channel Bruenor's warrior spirit and Psychic-type energy to create psychic blades. These blades cannot interact with matter, and as such, he can't hold them with his hands. He can, however, manipulate them with his mind. Any sentient entity struck with these blades will incur no damage, but will feel pain as though damage had been inflicted. As Terashi improves as a channeler, more psionic blades can be created at a time.
Third Move: Dream Mist Manipulation (Luna)
As a Musharna, Luna can generate Dream Mist - a gas made of Psychic-type energy that can manipulate the minds of humans and Pokemon alike, making them see whatever Luna wants them to see. By channeling through Luna, Terashi can manipulate Munna's Dream Mist, making basically anything he can think of appear in the mist. Because these illusions are bound not only to his mind, but to those observing them, the illusions - if depicting a human - can be made to speak with whatever voice the observer's mind or minds thinks is most appropriate.
Fourth Move: Crystal Shards (Orion)
Terashi can channel through Orion to create and control shards of psychically-charged coral. These have a number of uses - he can make a barrier to soften blows, shards on the ground to damage anything that walks through it, or swords to place inside the psychic blades made via Psionic Storm to give them a very real effect on impact. As Terashi improves as a channeler, he can control more of the coral at a time; making bigger walls, wider caltrops, or filling more psychic blades.
Fifth Move: Psionic Bombardment (Rala)
Aside from their fraility, Gardevoir are known for their special strength. This move allows Terashi to tap into this strength to turn Psychic-type energy into explosives. While their effects on non-living matter are somewhat lackluster, their effects on the nervious systems of sentient beings are quite potent. As Terashi improves as a channeler, these bombs will explode at a wider range, affecting more sentient beings at a time.
