Not sure if this is already posted, so I apologize in advance if it is.

But, I thought this'd be an interesting topic... how artistic talent can be used to advance the Christian Gospel and be a form of worship as well.

He's wrong in one area: making images of God Himself would be a sin, not a God-honoring work. We don't honor God or preserve His reputation (the way He wants it preserved) by transgressing His instructions. He instructed us not to make images of Him.

I love the positive outlook of this video, but honestly I think he's not taking church history into account. The destruction of the icons (the iconoclasm) was when sculptures and pictures were destroyed because people were worhiping them instead of God.

So I'm an artist and I love painting and art in general, but I think there is a valid concern in the church about how people worship God, and what is considered an idol or idol worship. I've heard older people in more than one of my churches talking about art in a negative way because of this.
