AdolescencesWithin the Pakiti, only adults may breed. This means no adolescent flings that result in pups. It is greatly frowned upon, and no Adolescent breedings will be approved unless a specific plot requires it to take place. These will be extremely rare cases, so please don't post unless both members in a pair are adults.
However, despite this, Adols are allowed to court and decide on a mate before they reach adulthood, though jumping into a serious relationship so young might cause some talk! It is by no means frowned upon, however, so feel free to decide the mate of your soa at any age. FlingsThe Pakiti is a matriarchal pack, which often leads to some stigma when a fling occurs. The bloodline is passed on through the mother, and not the father.
Females who fling outside of the pack may raise their pups with the aid of the male, or a caretaker is assigned to them (this is chosen at conception, and may be roleplayed out but not required! There should still be IC mention of a caretaker should it come up). The pups may take regular ranks at adulthood, or may leave the pack.
Males who fling outside of the pack do not have to bring the pups back to the pack. However, should he decide to, the pups will be removed from his care. Depending on the situation, the pups may be placed with a new mother or caretaker - or, the pups will be cast into slavery. Males may be prohibited from leaving the pack if this becomes a habit. You may discuss the situation OOCly with the pride owners.
Flings are generally not allowed within the pack, and is highly frowned upon. You may post here with the plot idea if a fling should come about.
MatingOnce a pair is mated, they are considered bonded for life. Flings and breedings outside the pair are highly frowned upon, as the Bond is considered sacred. Tarnishing this bond can lead to consequences that may include that soa not being allowed to breed within the pack any longer.
SurrogatesSurrogates are a touchy subject, especially with the laws so strict around flings and marriage. In the case of a pair being unable to produce pups on their own, a surrogate from outside of the pride may be found for a male/male pair. A female pair may choose to breed without as many consequences of a fling, should the bond between the pair be true.
Rogue Breeding Events Sometimes colorist post breeding events, such as rogue breedings or mix and match events. Feel free to post within these without waiting for approval, but please post here if you plan to enter! All pups from this will follow the same rules as flings.
