Gaia is celebrating its history during the month of May. There's a free item to collect each day and contests going on in a forum.
What to do:
Collect a new freebie item each day. Each item is available for 24 hours. Click the album in the header and click the yellow button in the center of the page. It'll says something like "5/## Grant".
Don't open the albums! There will likely be an alchemy formula that will require a set of unopened event items in order to summon the spirit of Gaia itself. Each day's item appears at 12pm PDT, not the usual 12am. Items can be found with the marketplace tag npcitem.
Enter the contests in the event forum. They're the stickies at the top of the forum. Pay attention to the dates! The contests have different end dates. Collect achievements (see second post).

Friendly Flashback Awarded to Gaians who posted in the Throwback Spring Party 2k15 Event Forum!
Titles: Wistful, Flashback, Partygoer Points: 100 How to earn it: Make a post in the Event Forum. It doesn't have to be a contest thread. It can take a while to grant. I found that it granted later after I left the forum and returned.
Champion Cardholder Awarded to Gaians who have scored 10,000 points or more playing Stack Attack
Titles: High-scoring, Cunning, Cardholder Points: 100 How to earn it: Play the Stack Attack game. The score that matters is your overall cumulative score on the leader board when your game ends. Didn't get 10k+ points the first time you played? Play a few games. It seems to be based on the luck of the draw. Note: This will cost gold. It's possible to earn the achievement in the 1000 gold tournaments.
Fortuitous Finder Awarded to Gaians who find Heaven in Towns 2
Titles: Fortuitous, Pure-hearted, Seraph Points: 100 How to earn it: Launch Towns 2. Wait for it to load. There's a chat bar in the lower left corner of the screen. Type the exact phrase "I am in heaven" into the chat. Hit enter. (Don't use a period.)
Rally Tyro Awarded to any Gaian who visits the Rally!
Titles: Premium, OG, Rallier Points: 100 How to earn it: Open Rally and wait for it to fully load. Voila! Done.
Switchem Supreme Awarded to Gaians who have scored over 10,000 points in Switchem.
Titles: Crafty, Switcher Points: 100 How to earn it: Must score 10,000 points in one level of Switchem. This will require the use of Gaia cash. 10,000 points can be earned only in levels 15+ (or with a lucky finish on lv 14). Users report that they can get to level 12 before needing to use cash for the powerups.

XDDDD There's an achievement in Towns 2. It's fast. Just type "I am in heaven" That was good.
I'll add it to list later. There's also apparently one for visiting Rally.
Oh gosh this was the most "throw back-ish" attire I could find in my inventory, haha. Also I tried the "I am in heaven" thingie, rather interest I must say XD

XD I saw your avatar the other day. Total throwback. I hadn't seen anyone wear that face mask in a long time. Annnddd~ totally, I didn't know that existed. <.< >.> Apparently typing "go to hell" gets a different result. (But I read that someone said it gave them the same achievement. xD )

I did, but you gotta look fast cuz I change constantly! lol I haven't heard much about more achievements, either. Just the one for posting in the event forum. There will be one given for entering contests, too, at the end I think.
