A very simple way to clean a wig, is to get a small bowl of lukewarm water, get your fingers wet in the water, and run them through the fibers. It's a nice way if your wig is sensitive to heat. Brush the wig out carefully while you're doing it too.

I'd also recommend using a soft soap, or preferably a wig shampoo to wash the wig. That will help remove residual gel, styling product, and whatever else got stuck in your hair during its run.

Italy's Curl (from Hetalia):

What you need:
-un-styled bronze/copper wig
-a 12" strip of wire (About as thick as three paper clips)
-Clear nail polish
-Hot glue
-Needle and thread

So when buyin a wig, make sure it is alittle more thick then the character's hair, so when you go to thin it in the back, you can collect the strands that you cut off.

Now first things first~ Bend the wire so that it makes the curl at one end, and a .5 in "L" shape at the other end. Now comes the hard part~ putting on the hair. so You start at the tip of the curl end on the wire, add just a dot of hot glue and start gluing all around the tip of the wire. DO NOT touch the glue while it is drying! This will make the glue un-noticable! and continue to put dabs of glue till the hairs sticks to the wire without poking out too much! Once you get the hair around the surface of the wire, you can start to brush the clear nail polish on the hair so that it sticks to itself, the other hairs, and the wire. You do this til you reach the "L" shape at the other end of the wire.

Now you glue the "L" shape part of the wire on one of the strips on the inside of your wig, you will also sew it in, and add more glue till it stays. (shouldnt take too much)

The curl should survive through the whole con, and should just need another layer of Polish to take away the stray hairs n-n

Here is another way to do it: [Curl Tutorial]

Here's a tutorial on how to extend a wig's hairline. I've used this before, and be warned that it takes a lot of patience!

I just finished up writing a Wigs 101 tutorial. It goes over the very basics of how to get started styling a wig.
