It was nice to be back to work. Nice to be doing what she loved. Nice to be in a stable, settled environment that reminded her more of home than the pathetic little
'village' they had been forced into back in Amityville. More importantly, it was sometimes nice to get away with her beloved mentor to a place that reminded them of their
true home.
She had missed this; the heat of sand, the warmth of the sun, the soft yet gritty texture of the sand beneath bare feet and between her toes as she slid down a mound and pushed against it to use the momentum of her speed to send her up the next one and into the air with a delighted sound. It was out of Na'ima's nature to shout, but her voice was certainly louder than it normally was. Scarves and veils fluttered in the air as she sailed through it, flapping like wings as she descended back to the ground and let herself stumble intentionally. She rolled, laughing with pure joy even as she stopped on her back and laid there, arms by her head and feet sinking into the sand.
"Much better, Mentor." Golden amber eyes looked up at him in pleased crescent shapes, giving away her smile hidden behind the veil over her face. She then raised a hand in silent request for help up.
