Zak looked down at the plug in his hand, then up, with an unamused expression, at Meebus, who's gaze had returned forward. "I need you in your heat form..." he uttered dryly. Again, the blue outlining around Meebus twitched, and he turned slightly to look sideways at him. "I can change forms once we reach the gym, Zak-hav," he offered -- or perhaps pointed out, Zak couldn't tell which. The Russian pressed his mouth shut in annoyance, but turned his gaze forward, walking while Boo zoomed busily around. He tucked Meebus' plug away as she came happily over, handing him-- another plug? Hm. Two, actually, and something even more useful, that made Zak grin. "Lucky Egg... good job, Boo," he remarked, putting the items away.

Zak allowed Meebus to maintain his smaller, normal form until they reached the pokecenter. He took the Soothe Bell after, however, once they arrived, and handed him the heat plug. Given he'd just healed all his pokemon, he didn't bother going inside, and instead headed through the city, weaving along the streets to make his way to the gym. It took a bit of navigating but he was able to find it before long, and once more pulled on his gloves, stepped inside, and announced his challenge. He had to wait a moment for Burgh to arrive, but once he did, he immediately sent Meebus forward.

"Fabulous!" Burgh exclaimed and returned his Levanny in a sweeping motion, "That battle was simply fabulous!" In his eyes they'd both won: his opponent, of course, had won himself his third badge and he, the muse for his next art piece. "Congratulations to you, my good sir. You've won yourself the Insect Badge and the TM Struggle Bug." With the same energy he used to explain Zakhav's earnings he presented said items to him. "Once more I say to you, congratulations!"
Now, all he needed to do was think of a title for this upcoming masterpiece...

Burgh might have been brimming with joy and inspiration, but Zak was far from it. His expression was grim and his jaw was clenched, his hands balled into his fists by his side. "Spa-- Th... Thank you," he corrected himself, taking the items, and then turning to leave, Meebus floating, albeit a bit lower than usual, alongside him. They'd won... but that wasn't as easy as it surely should have been. Which pissed him off. He would have to really grind before the next gym, and strategize more. The first gyms... they were usually easy, and he'd underestimated it a bit. Next time, regardless of who he battled, or where... he was going to have it all pre-planned. To the very last step.
In the meantime, however, he had training to do.
He got his pokemon all healed, and returned Meebus. It didn't take too long before he was able to actually find out about how to get to the Haunted Houses, and was actually directed to a place where some of the 'mediums' (so psychics, he assumed) could be found. And once he'd located one, he was able to easily be teleported to the nearest House.

☆ ☆【The awkwardness in the atmosphere around them was so thick, Phoenix felt like she could drown in it. Thankfully, when Kraven offered for her to go into the bathroom to get changed first, the redhead was more than happy to accept. It would at least give a moment of reprieve so that she could collect her thoughts and calm herself down enough to try to face this situation rationally. She felt that she should have seen this coming, after they had spent that time talking and joking about it… It was only by sheer irony that she and Kraven would end up sharing a room together for the night, at least the clerk hadn’t registered them in the romantic room with the large heart-shaped bed with velvet covers and scented candles and rose petals all over the place… Did hotels even have those? Phoenix felt that she should keep that thought to herself, even if she was curious she was likely better off not knowing. Right now, she should just try to focus on getting through the night, and hopefully if they ever had to stay at a hotel again they would be able to get a room with two beds instead. Arceus… surely Kraven was doing her absolute best to try to stay cool about this as well, but this was going to be one hell of an interesting night… Klaus leaned against the wall casually, shaking his head every so often to keep himself awake as much as he could while he waited for Phoenix to get done in the bathroom. He barely stifled a yawn that threatened to come out, shifting his curious blue gaze towards Kraven as she sat on the bed and fiddled around with her X-Transceiver. He could tell that she was feeling the awkwardness of this situation as much as Phoenix was, yet she was doing her best to keep a handle on it. He could certainly appreciate that, since Phoenix tended to panic quite easily from time to time if the discomfort and stress really got to her, it would certainly help if at least one of them was keeping a cool and level head. As Kraven set up her MP3 charger, Phoenix came out of the bathroom in her nightclothes. The redhead arranged her stuff in a neat pile by the adjacent wall closest to the bed, turning to her ebon-haired friend and letting her know that the bathroom was open for her. Phoenix’s blue eyes were downcast, though she did her best to maintain eye contact when she addressed Kraven with a small smile. Her ebon-haired friend acknowledged the info with a nod and a ‘Got it’ before she headed over to the bathroom herself. With the girls getting settled, Klaus took that as his cue to find himself a place to sleep and settle down for the night. Luckily, he had seen a large chair located on the far side of the room that would fit him comfortably, since he wanted to avoid overcrowding the bed. He bid them good night and ambled over groggily towards his designated bed. ” Good night, Klaus,” Phoenix said quietly with a smile, watching him as he curled up into the chair like a dog. She glanced over as Kraven laughed, commenting on how the Zoroark was really just a big fluffy dog. The redhead couldn’t help but chuckle along as she gave a nod in agreement, watching her ebon-haired companion disappear into the bathroom. Once she heard the door close, Phoenix sat herself down on the bed, taking a few deep breaths to keep herself relaxed and calm. This was one of those situations where she had no idea what to do, given her limited social skills and her tendencies to recluse herself from most other people. Usually she would ask Klaus for advice on something like this, but right now he had already zonked out in the chair and she wouldn’t want to bother him. For now, she supposed she would just wait for Kraven to finish up in the bathroom so they could get the rest of their arrangements straightened out, and then they’ll see how things play out from there. Hearing the bathroom door open, Phoenix glanced up as Kraven came back into the room dressed in her own outfit for the night, a light tank top and shorts. The redhead kept her gaze half on Kraven and half elsewhere, not wanting to seem like she was staring since that would be creepy and only add onn further to the awkwardness of this situation. It was only when her friend spoke up that Phoenix then directed her eyes completely to the other girl. She nodded as Kraven said that they could just take a side each, and that she was just going to go to sleep herself though the redhead was free to watch TV if she wanted. ” I think I’ll just go right to bed as well… I don’t really watch TV anyways, to be honest,” Phoenix said, giving a slight shrug. Having lived on the streets for many years, Phoenix was used to not having a lot of luxuries in her life like television and whatnot. Even then, there usually wasn’t a lot of programs on TV that were all that good anyways. ” I’ll take the left side, if you don’t mind,” she said, standing up from her seat on the bed and moving over to stand by the left side of it, ” Unless you prefer this side, I wouldn’t mind switching…” She pulled back the covers and moved to get herself settled in the bed, adjusting the covers back over herself. "Alright, sounds good." While her redheaded companion got up, Kraven herself started to get settled herself. With Phoenix on the left, she took up the right side, slipping under the covers as her friend asked if she'd have preferred the other side. "Na, it's fine. Bed's soft enough on this side." Despite her tone and expression, she still felt the awkwardness of now physically being in the same bed, trying to keep her friend in a side glance whenever she spoke.
Still, Kraven did her best to keep calm, leaning over to the lamp on the nightstand to switch it off. Then they were left in darkness, and the ebon-haired girl did try to go to sleep. The bed was fortunately spacious, giving both of them enough room to get comfortable, though Kraven kept her arm under her pillow, lest she unconsciously reach across the bed to spread out. Before long though, it became apparent sleep wasn't going to come as quickly as usual tonight, and to try and break up at least some of the awkward so she could sleep. "...Well, this isn't as that bad, at least."

Placing a hand on his head, Zak looked around. He was used to transporting, but that didn't mean he didn't occasionally have a few side effects. He shook his head to brush them off, though, and moved for the pokecenter, his pokemon moving with him. "Meebus, you vouldn't happeen to know vhere ze next gym es, vould you?" he asked, glancing back towards the ghost. The rotom blinked, his little communication device giving off some static, before his voice came through. "Last time we were here, I believe I heard someone comment that it was in Nim-ba-sa, Zak-hav," he replied. Zak grimaced as, once again, Meebus butchered his name, but didn't bother trying to comment on it. "Neem..." Zak stopped, looking off to the side a moment.
That little encounter with the Imperium agent... first of all, it had him on edge. He didn't like that they were watching him, and he wasn't sure if it was chance, or... intentional. Either way, they knew where he was, and... they were possibly still keeping track. It was probably time to stop slacking off on his accent. Gritting his teeth at the effort, he took a deep breath, and stretched his head from side to side, before continuing. "Nimbasa, right. We'll head there next, then," he decided, frowning at the very normal sounding voice he used.

Talking was a pain. At least, talking with effort, which meant without his accent, was a pain. Zak was able to keep a very detached and passive expression on his face as he got his pokemon healed, but he was gritting his teeth on the inside. He would fall into the rhythm of it, but for now he was strongly considering just taking a nap. And he seriously might have, just to try and unwind after all the training, flirting, frustrations, teleporting, and general traveling, but his pokemon were getting too strong for comfort. He needed to get to Nimbasa so that he could get his next badge and then.... then he would take a nap. And send his pokemon out to get some more training. Or... maybe let them rest some too, depending on how much the gym battle took out of them. For now he just needed to get them healed so he could start making his way through the city.

Letting an annoyed frown shadow his face, Zak stepped out of the pokecenter, snapping the last of his pokeballs onto his belt. Daeva was back in the team, and at least for now, Boo was set aside. She wouldn't be battling, certainly not in this gym battle, and Daeva would be good to have on hand. "Zak-have, I--" Meebus started, his voice crackling through the translator and immediately causing Zak to narrow his eyes in further annoyance. "Don't," he cut him off irritably, "talk to me." Meebus blinked, levitating along as Zak started striding down an allyway. Frogadier hopped along beside them, looking curiously around, occasionally leaping up to hop off a wall and onto the other, then back down to the ground.
Zak had put everyone else back in their balls and kept them there after getting healed. And, clearly, he didn't keep them out for their company.... "... I was going to offer to take care of the speaking in the gym battle," Meebus offered rather simply, evidently unfazed by his trainer's bad attitude. As per usual.

When the train pulled to a stop Huey stepped, stretching his arms upwards in an attempt to loosen the muscles in his shoulders. It'd certainly been a while since he'd last been in Unova, but if he remembered correctly all that stood between him and the next city was a forest. Just as long as he didn't get lost again, which he could only hope he couldn't, he'd be battling Lenora within the next few hours. He'd be using Rags for this battle, fighting versus normal was always a good combination, and it seemed the Scraggy knew just that, taking on the first pokemon that came across their path; he was going to get strong enough to take on any foe that came their way. That's just what cool dudes, like himself, did.

Rags stomped the earth and punched his hand, a victorious little growl rumbling in his chest; Moxie did such strange things to the usually timid pokemon... For a moment Huey took his eyes off the battle to look up at Dianna and Yuki, both females watching their teammate quietly. Now that he'd thought about it they'd both been there when he'd caught Rags-- well not Yuki, since she'd been kidnapped and transformed around that time-- and for a moment he felt the need to ask them of their opinion of the little Scraggy. Personally, he thought he was great, he'd been a great help during that... ordeal and had even gone out of his way to protect him when they had no ties to each other. Huey's gaze drifted back to Rags just in time to see him take out Brian's Whismur.
Rags was a good pokemon, a little violent, but he certainly had moxie, which was ironic.
