- Hi, guys! I thought it might be useful to anyone trying to collect items for their wardrobe/inventory to know where they can get their free event items. I've decided to collect a selection of equippable Item Grants together in one place, with pictures so you can preview what it is that you'll be getting (Please note that this is a curated selection - if you want links to gold grants and alchemy items in addition, please check out the thread banner below). I hope you enjoy it!
Update, April 23: Wow, guys, I really do appreciate all the updates and suggestions! The only reason I haven't updated them is because I've been on hiatus! I was away from late February through until the middle of April, and unable to access a computer during that time.
What are free item grants?
Free item grants are items that are... well, free! For events, promotions and sometimes no reason at all, Gaia will set up links (sometimes posting them in Staff Notices, Announcements or hidden in NPC Posts, etc) that you can click that will automatically add a specific number of an item to your inventory (It's usually one, but occasionally you can click up to twelve times and achieve multiples of an item!) Sometimes the links are hidden and there is a scavenger hunt for them (like Valentine's Day this year), but to save you the trouble I've put the links together with images of these items so you can know what you'll be getting I'll continue to update this post in future so long as people are interested, so check back later for more!
What's so wonderful about these items?
Well, they're free (which makes them accessible to everyone including newbies!), and the more people click on them, the less expensive they become for everyone else. Even if you don't want that particular item, selling them helps them go down in price and makes them available to others after the links expire.
Note that the items under the "Animal" list are designed to be worn on the Paw bases - you may have seen avatars around the site that are shorter and have ears and different proportions to the human bases (this is as opposed to a human female that just has ears and a tail equipped). These items are specifically for those avatars, so if you don't wear them yourself you won't be able to use these. Usually paw items have human counterparts, but occasionally they don't. All paw items have a tiny blue-green paw print in the top left hand corner of their icon.
