Here is your typical grocery store - just as the name says. The racks are lined with food of sorts and awaiting your approval to buy them. Grocery store, Soleil store, general store... Name it how you want. But there's only one thing that differentiates it from all the others.

Daichi entered the store eating a sucker thoughtfully. Grabbing a shopping cart as he made his way through the store thoughtfully before picking out two bags of bread as he considered his meals for the next few days. Browsing the aisles he eventually came to the candy aisle and stopped for a moment, considering what to do before grabbing a large bag of suckers. Yawning, he glanced out the front windows of the store momentarily before continuing his shopping. Unfortunately, he spent more time than he would've like to in the candy section, having deemed the first bag he picked out, blow standards. Well to be frank, he ran through half of the stock on the the shelf before finding something of acceptable condition. Talk about slacking. Oh well, it wasn't his problem. He probably wouldn't do the work as well anyways.
Turning he made his way over to the drinks and began browsing them with the intent to fill his fridge for the next week or so. After a minute he stopped, however, contemplating weather or not he was in the mood for beer. In the end, he was more of a wine person anyways. Grabbing a bottle, he sighed; wine was better for you anyways. Reaching into his shirt pocket, he pulled out his shopping list.

Looked about right, though in the end he'd decided it be best to go to the actual candy store anyways. Putting the list away, he yawned again finding he gotten enough to hold him over until at least the end of the week. Moving a runaway bang out of his eye, he continued on to the register. As the cashier ran the food he considered the idea of working here. Might be nice. When the Cashier finished he payed, and tiredly left with the shopping bags in tow.

Toya groaned, why was he in charge of store duty today? Sometimes Ann was a pain in his a**. He held a long list of items that they needed, and Toya was not looking forward to this. They had just moved here today and so they needed supplies. Sadly that meant that Toya had to go out and get everything, such a bother! He grabbed a cart as he walked inside, and rested his arms lazily on them. He yawned, smiling at the people that walked by. He did show he seemed bothered by the idea of shopping, no on the contrary. He seemed happy, excited even. He grabbed the things he needed as he came, smiling at a few ladies that were giving him embarrassed stares. It seemed his charm was doing its job, and that sucked. He hated sucking up to people, they only felt attracted to him because of what he was. He shook his head, simply looking at the task a head. He stopped in the aisle, and browsed the store selection. Get plopped the items into the cart, and continued on. Ann better make something good, otherwise Toya wouldn't be happy about it. He looked at the list again, making sure he didn't miss out on anything. Gez, she wanted so much! He just carried on, hoping Ann would at least praise him for his work. At least there didn't seem to be too many people here, being an incubus made him hate crowded places. Though over the years he's had to get over that fear, so it's more of an annoyance now.
XXXXXXXA heavy sigh, followed by the expansion of cheeks. Celest furrowed her brow, crimson gaze pulling together to create the oddest of facial expressions. She was bored, and was beginning to regret having forced herself out of the bed. What was the point if she was only going to spend the day walking around aimlessly. She had no job, no friends, and in the two months since arriving hadn't even mapped out a schedule to follow by. The fairy stopped suddenly, translucent wings fluttering in the weak sunlight. "I'm boooooooored!" she proclaimed, pushing and extending the word so that her voice carried farther. The entire world needed to know of her plight. And here she had thought the human world was supposed to be fun! Maybe leaving the village hadn't been the best idea after all?
The world had yet to give her any sort of respite, and with a groan the girl realized she'd have to create her own form of entertainment. But that would be difficult; since she had lost her bearings. Celest grumbled softly at her own luck, and she extended her foot to catch the side of the nearest pebble. It was sent careening off, only to come to a stop at the corner of a building. Her eyes traveled up to the top, where the store's name was displayed proudly. Her expression lit up suddenly. A grocery store! Wasn't that where humans bought there food? And if she remembered correctly, she'd run out of food yesterday. She was surviving off of crackers and tap water at this point. It was obvious what she had to do.
Celest skipped forward, skidding to a halt at the door. So how did she open the-- she jumped when the doors slid open on their own. "Magic!" the ignorant girl exclaimed happily, dilated eyes examining the opened door in disbelief. Her growling stomach prevented any further scrutiny, however, and the fairy scuttled inside the air-conditioned store. There was so much food! She reached for a basket, sliding it up her bicep, and began to move throughout the aisles. There was no organization or thought placed into her selections, she simply grabbed what looked most appealing. With a sigh, the red head stopped and looked at her basket. It had started to drag down with its weight, and rubbed uncomfortably against the bare skin. That seemed enough!
Now, all she had to was figure out how to take them home. She'd read that you couldn't just take items, that had heavy repercussions. So she'd have to do something, but what!? Celest sighed heavily and looked back at her many items. A longing glance upwards and she spotted a person nearby. "Hey, you!" she scuttled over to red haired male. "How do you... take these things with you?"

Misguided Royalty

Toya continued to lazily grab things off the self, one by one as they entered his cart. Knowing he had a lot of things to purchase, he had decided to grab on of the carts with wheels. It was actually really, really nice, not having to lug everything in one hand. He wouldn't admit the reason was because he was weak, but because it was fast to use a cart. He nodded to a few customers, smiling and flirting with a few. Hey, free life energy for him. Besides they were coming up to him, and it wasn't like he was going to zap them dry just by talking. He stretched his arms a bit, and before reaching for yet another item on the list. However, someone called to him surprising him. He jumped, the item flying out of his hands "Oi! watch out" he said, before diving for the bottle of shampoo. He grabbed it, before it flew into the girls face, and he sighed. He wanted to yell at the girl, but his outer self won the internal debate "you ok? you should be more careful, that could have turned out way worse" he said. He tried not to charm her, considering she seemed like someone who would cause problems for him down the road. He rubbed the back of his head softly "er, when you ask how you take things with you, you mean paying for them correct?" he asked her, as he studied her. Did she not know that?
He waited for her to say something, but then smiled "Ok, see those lanes over there?" she asked, pointing towards them. He waited for her to look over "well you go over there and use the money you have to pay for the items you want to take with you. After you buy them, you can leave with no problem at all" he said, ruffling her hair. He wondered if maybe she wasn't from around here, that or she had someone else pay for her food when she was growing up. He walked over to his cart and placed the shampoo down before look back at her. He really didn't want to interact with anyone, but he couldn't just leave her there. He did have a reputation as a famous singer to keep up after all. so he waited for her to say something.
After a long day of unpacking, Cecil moved through Soleil's many streets, hoping to get a feel for the city. Although, rather than simply walking around, he chose to fly low through the streets, taking the form of a crow. Not exactly the most... fitting of choices but it worked none the less. Once his wings grew tired, he landed in the streets, just in front of a decently-sized grocery store.
After a moment, he walked through it's sliding doors, morphing back to his human form when they wouldn't open for his bird form. This was probably for the best anyway, since he hadn't been able to bring much prepared food with him anyway, so a grocery run couldn't hurt. Grabbing a basket by the door, he spotted a few other customers a ways away. With some slight hesitation, he approached the two. "Excuse me," He began, getting their attention. "I'm a bit new here, so I'm not familiar with where anything's at. You wouldn't happen to know if they sell herbs of any kind here?"

XXXXXXXCelest had expected a response from the male. What she hadn't expected was to have a bottle thrown her way. The fairy blinked, slowly raising one arm in an attempt to fend off the 'attack'. But, there was no need to. With, quick reflexes, the male caught the bottle before it could do any damage. Being in such close proximity, she was even able to read the label of the bottle. Shampoo, huh? Maybe she should add that to her list. While she contemplated this, her savior spoke up again. The girl tilted her head up. "Oh, you're concerned about my wellbeing? How cute." she offered him a simple smile before she lowered her head back down. Maybe she could fit it in with everything else? Wedge it in between the ice cream and strawberries.
In the end, she decided not to buy it. With a sigh, she slid her gaze over to the boy; becoming coherent just in time to explain the process of buying. "Money?" she cocked her head to the side. "Oh, of course! Those green papers." Why of course! She'd seen the transaction before multiped times, back in her village. Celest groaned lightly, reaching her up to smack herself in the forehead; the heel of her palm dug into her forehead. "Well hey, thanks stranger! You weren't as useless as I assumed!"
Celest turned around, prepared to try out this 'buying', but was stopped by the arrival of a new person. Another male, only this one with hair as white as snow. She inclined her head, listening to his question. "Nope! Ask this guy right here." she jabbed her thumb backwards, indicating the redhead male. "He seems chock full of answers."

Toya waited for the girl to speak, and blushed as she stated that it was cute that he was worrying about her well being "it's not cute, most people always act this way" he said, correcting her way of thinking. It wasn't like this was any different to how other people treated him, but it still felt weird for some reason. He looked at her, green papers? Did she even know how the currency worked here? She seemed like it was the first time she's seen money in her life. How odd. He felt a bit offended as she stated that he was more helpful than he looked "er... thank you? I guess if that's all you wanted to know I'll be on my way"he said. This girl certainly was different, at least she didn't seem to be affected by his charm. Being an incubus was tiring most of the time.
It was then that another person seemed to join them. He blinked, why were there so many people at the grocery store? He looked over, the guy seemed to be asking about herbs. This was the first him he's ever been here, so he didn't know if they had any. Would looking in a forest or something be better for that kind of stuff? He thought about it, but his attention was drawn back to the girl as she directed the guy to him. He blinked, chock full of answers? He sighed "um... to be honest I just got here today, so this is the first time I've been in this particular store. Not sure if they sell what you're looking for, but see those signs over each isle?" he asked, pointing to the closest one. He waited for the guy to follow where he was pointing before continuing on "they should say what's in each isle, so um... herbs was it? Maybe try looking where all the produce is?" he said, as if asking himself whether that was right or not. He honestly didn't want to be bothered, he still had to get a lot more things on his list. He kept a smile on, his outer self not allowing his inner self to appear.
It was then that Ann made her way into the store, and looked around rather annoyed "where is that idiot" she muttered, her eyes scanning the area around her. He couldn't be far, he was bound to be here somewhere knowing him. She wandered around the store for awhile, until she noticed him talking to two other people, she sighed "Oi! Idiot, what are you doing?" she asked, her arms crossed. Toya tensed, and laughed awkwardly "A... Ann! What a surprise, I thought I was doing the shopping" he asked, a bit nervously. She eyed him, not pleased with his process. She hit him on the head, resulting in a soft cry from Toya as he held his head "ow! Gah, that hurt!" he whined aloud. Ann smiled "I know it was supposed to hurt, know get going and get the stuff on the list... you better be done within the next five minutes or you'll receive a heavier punishment than a bump on the head" she said, smiling. Toya gulped, "y... yes sir!" he yelped, as he scurried away. She sighed, looking at the other two "sorry he's such a bother isn't he" she said, shrugging lightly.

Cecil looked to where the man was pointing, looking down the rest of signs that hung from the ceiling. "Mkay, thank you," he replied. Although, suddenly a new party joined them, this one familiar with the other man. He blinked a few times as Ann struck his head, then turned her attention to Cecil and the red-head.
"N-No, no, he was actually helpful. I wasn't quite sure where everything was here, so he pointed me in the right direction." Some of his admittedly heavy accent spilled out as he spoke, despite his efforts to suppress it some."Now, if you'll excuse me." Returning to his bird form, he flew up above the isles, scanning for anything else he might want to grab, before touching down and morphing back in the produce isle. "Alright, let's see here..."
He grimaced a bit as he saw they only had a few things he might be able to use. But, he needed to grocery shop anyway, so he decided to simply collect everything he thought he could make use of. Some vegetables, fruits, milk, and other essentials. He quickly gathered all of the items and took them to the register.

XXXXXXXThe corner of her lip quipped into a smirk, and her gaze lowered. An amused expression in response to his blush. It was an odd reaction, but his face did match his hair now! "Really?" surprise caused her eyes to widen and she couldn't help but frown lightly, taking the information in. Back at home you only cared about yourself and those close to you. "How adorable! Humans are so considerate." she clapped her hands together once, another smile striking across her face. The fairy was learning so much more than just shopping. Food and knowledge, what a wonderful outcome. Celest turned her bright gaze back to the male, "you're quite welcome!"
She turned away from him, and began digging out the green paper. So this was human currency? It didn't look like much, but if this would help her take home her many items who was she to complain? She had quite a lot of it too. Celest ran her finger over the tops of the bills, pulling her finger over it quickly to create the sound of fluttering. Paper against paper, a surprisingly soothing sound. The fairy turned back around to face the male, intrigued by the odd laughter that trickled from his lips. Yet another person had arrived, a female with hair similar to the other boy's. The redhead seemed intimidated by her, and for good reason too. The girl couldn't help but laugh at the show of violence, amazed at how quick the male was to submit.
"Ah. There's no need to apologize for your lackey!" Celest reassured the girl once her companion ran off. "He hasn't proven to be a bother just yet, in fact he was just the opposite!" if she had known earlier how interesting the people at a grocery store were, she'd have visited a few days ago! So far, the most interesting was that second boy, the one who'd turned into a bird. "A bird-man." she mused, and fidgeted lightly. This needed investigating.

Once Cecil had completed his transaction, he retrieved his bags from the cashier. Checking to make sure he didn't forget anything, he exited the store before setting the bags down off the path. "Alright, head home, drop these off, and head back out," he thought aloud. Stretching his arms over his head, his stance quickly lowered to something much more hunched, until he was on all fours, and his body slowly began morphing into a white tiger with black stripes.
This should work... he thought. After a slight pause to get used to the body, he moved his head through the bag's handles, save for the bread bag, which he held in his mouth. Once all of the bags were... relatively secure, he took off down the street, taking the back routes he'd flown through to avoid any problems a tiger running through the street could bring. [Exit to Doux Streets]

Toya grumbled a bit, Ann was so bossy! How embarrassing, he really didn't expect her to her here so soon. He was hoping to get the things they needed and then get out. However, he had stopped to help two people out. He needed to learn how to say now, his outer personality is really annoying sometimes, what a bother! He grumbled more as he grabbed items off the selves and into the cart. He seriously needed to hurry, otherwise he wouldn't hear the end of it from Ann. Besides Ann was scary when she made threats, mostly because she's serious when she makes them. He scurried down the isles, trying to go as fast as he could. He was feeling a bit weak, probably because he hasn't gone and fed in a while. Seriously, his life was such a bother!
Ann had her arms crossed still, and watched as the man stated he was helpful before flying away. Literally. She whistle, "don't see that everyday" she said, shrugging. Her attention was then pulled towards the girl as she stated that her lackey was helpful. She blinked and started laughing, which was very unusual for Ann. She smiled "I like you kid, ah the wonders of youth" she joked. She noticed her looking at the boy from earlier "why not go after him? You seemed interested in him to say the least, don't worry about my little lackey He'll be fine. See you around kid" she said, before she waved once and walked towards the checkout stand.
Toya finally finished the shopping and rushed towards the checkout stand only to see Ann looking impatient, her foot tapping against the ground. He gulped as he walked over to her, shrinking down a bit"you're late, by six minutes" she said, looking at him. Toya's face turned deathly white "t... there was a lot of complications... a... and I don't know my way around the store, it's the first time I've been here!" he whined, trying to get out of a beating from her. She seemed to consider it, and looked his way "hmm... fine, I'll only make you do 1,000 push-ups instead of 2,000" she said, as she turned and paid for the items herself. He gulped, at least 1,000 was better than 2,000 pushups. He sighed, as they walked out. She looked at him one more time "get going, put the groceries away, I want to see more of the town"she said. Toya didn't argue, and high-tailed it out of there as fast as he could.

Here she was, finally t the grocery store. Tove had no idea why she was here... Usually she would order takeout, but today was a rather adventurous day today. She had moved in just a few days before and finally started settling into the new environment, so today was a congratulatory party to herself.
"Hm..." The girl murmured. She clenched her basket in one hand with her little list in the other. Tove wondered up and down the isles, looking for a specific jar of jelly to use for her sandwiches. Finally, she stumbled upon the correct isle... But there was a slight problem in hand; The jar was on the highest shelf, and because of the height difference she could not reach. What the hell do you think you're doing Tove, this is already ridiculous... God dammit... She bit her bottom lip in frustration and set her basket and list down. Tove rolled up her sleeves and cracked her knuckles... She was going to climb her way to the top.
Ever so slowly, she eased her way by shimmying up the shelves, making sure she didn't kick anything down in the process. So close. The girl thought to herself as she extended her hand and reached for the jar of jelly. Her fingers curled around the jar and finally she had secured the object.
Tove got back down safely and set the item in her basket.
"Eyo! If you don't mind me asking, may I take a picture?"
Abe was behind the dairy shelves, quickly tying the grocer's apron before sneaking back into the aisles where the rest of the customers were. He was wearing simple black slacks with an equally black t-shirt under his apron. As he took a stride towards the front of the store where he was usually stationed, he noticed a girl climbing up the shelves to reach something on top. He would've gone and help but by the time he noticed she already hand it in her hand and begun climbing down. He sighed,'That's an accident waiting to happen..' Abe ignored the small even and went on to greet various shoppers and a few co-workers. They weren't exactly friends, but more like acquaintances.'Man, I wonder exactly how much time is left on my shift..', he wondered as he eventually reached his register and begun checking everything was in the correct place.
"Default bills..check. Scanner's...working," the tall brunette said in a low voice as he finally finished all his preparations. With a simple flip of a switch the light the line was open and he begun servicing customers. Some simply payed for a few items- most bought half the shelves, and rarely did one use a few coupons. But with each customer it always ended the same way; with a smile and a cheerful,"Hope you have a nice day," So far his day was fine and all he had to do was finish up work before he head out to take a few photos. In truth, Abe had his own phone which took good photos but he preferred his usual DSLR when it came to taking pictures.
