 An image flashes on every screen in the city. A loud tune blares as DJ Sagara slides into view. "Zawame City! ~" He greets, pointing at the camera. "It's Team Gaim's last change to make it to the Top Ten! But with the sudden departure of their leader last week, do they have what it takes?" Sagara turns to another camera, grinning like a mad man. "Team Gaim has yet to win an Inves Battle since their star, Kenzaki Hiyori retired suddenly. Let's watch as the teams takes the stage!" The screen flickers, switching to an image of a concrete dance stage in the park. A younger boy dressed in Team Gaim garb steps forward. He raises a Himawari Lockseed into the air, summoning a small, grey and red Inves projection to appear in front of him. A girl from the opposing team steps forward, swinging a Matsubokkuri Lockseed around her finger. She activates it, sending a slightly larger monster onto the stage. "Tensions are high!" DJ Sagara yells from off screen. "Who will win this round!? BATTLE...START!"

Energy then builds up in the rapier, allowing the user to send a Rider-Slash wave to strike the enemy. As the wave approaches the enemy, it takes the shape of a stampeding bull
Au Lait: A large pair of energy-based cherries appear. One cherry engulfs the user, protecting them from attack, while the other cherry swings around in the stem, knocking back large waves.
Sparking: The user stabs their rapier into the ground, sending a surge of energy into the ground. The energy is released under the enemy, sending them airborn. Energy then swirls into the user's pistol, firing two large cherries at the opponent. The cherry stems wrap around the opponent before the berries crash into the enemy, exploding.

Sparking: The user speeds past the opponent and strikes them with the Kusarigama multiple times until a pepper is formed. Once the pepper is fully formed they strike one more time to cause an explosion.

Bio: Sasuke has lived in Zawame city ever since he was born. Back then he was kind and quit child who loved to play with his friends. Life was good. Until Yggdrasill came along and ruined everything. They took his fathers construction company and tore it down along with the park beside it so they could build their stupid tower. His father couldn't find work elsewhere and the stress got the better of him and he soon got sick and died. Sasuke saw how powerless his dad was and how quickly things had been taken from him. So he swore that he wouldn't be like him, he would be strong so he could do as he wished! He would also get revenge on Yggdrasill for taking his father from him. As the Beat Riders started showing up he joined in seeing this as a chance to show those in this city that he was going to be the top dog.

Bio: Born & raised in Zawame much as most of the others; Takeya was fine with their quiet town transformed into a bustling city as he enjoyed the changes, he was once the leader/dancer of the Beat Rider team Raid Wild until he found himself unable to provide his team with the popularity they aimed for due to their meager performances compared to Team Gaim & Baron, and soon retired early to pass the mantle of leadership to a younger member who soon push the team high up the rankings. Takeya now provides Raid Wild with information & supplies such as a base of operations and a home away from home as he works to provide himself living in the city.

Personality: Koji appears to be a typical playboy: smooth, confident, a ladies' man, and always cool. He gives the appearance that he simply wants to get the fame and glory that comes with the Inves games. However, he does have a far deeper layer. While he is a swinger/ladies' man, he is nonetheless extremely chivalrous and wants his team to bring happiness to people by "keeping the music alive in everyone," as he says. While impulsive and often acting hotheaded, he is still bright. Also, given his love of disco music and the 1970s, his dress style matches that as well his use of many disco era terms like "groovy" and "funky."
Bio: Koji is the leader of a new group of Beat Riders known as Team Funkytown, a group of Beat Riders who love disco like he does, often dancing to classic disco song remixes. Koji's father Kyoshiro was a police captain and detective in the Zawame City Police Department and his mother Sakuya was a music producer. The two died when Koji was 13 in a car accident. He fell in love with disco because it was his parents' favorite style of music. Loving its happy, upbeat vibe and the way it made people forget their troubles, inspired Koji to make a Beat Rider team focused around the music. When not with his team, he works as the lead DJ at the new dance club, Club Funky Flame.
With his team relatively new, Koji sought a way to increase their rankings very quickly. Thus, he managed to work out a deal with Lock Dealer Kizoku to get himself one of the newest advancements in the Inves Game: the Sengoku Driver.

Ryou has a sense of honor in his duties and actions, and despite his misgivings, believes Yggdrasill's actions are for the good of mankind.
Bio/Personal History: Ryou comes from a rather poor family in Zawame City, having been raised in highly unstable and at times abusive household as child. Despite this, he loves Zawame and the people with in it to the extent that he's willing to go to extreme lengths in order to save it. Ryou also served as the original tester and primary user for the Sengoku Driver while it was being initially tested.

Once he learned of the problem at hand he quickly produced the Sengoku Drivers. He has little interest in what Sagara is planning and only wishes to see the world advance using his technology.

Bio/Personal HistoryHaving a regular, rather uneventful upbringing, Hideyuki moved to Zawame from lower Kyusyuu after his the company promoted and transferred him from his former location and as such doesn't know as much about Zawame or the Beat Riders as some of the others. Once purchasing his Sengoku Driver on a whim, Hideyuki is thrust into the destined war that will bring out something hidden from his past.

Yuu was low ranking Yakuza operative before being kicked out and fleeing to Zamame to start fresh. He was found by Yggdrasil and hired at first as Lock Dealer and to protect protect their assets. Using his remaining underworld connections, he soon rose to a Body Guard position for Duke.

Bio: Kizoku's family worked with Yggdrasil since its very conception. However, while he came from a long line of scientists and engineers, he took a much different past.
Considered a goof and a layabout by his family, they used their connections to get Kizoku a measly job selling Lock Seeds. Little did they know, this was exactly the job he was looking for.
Kizoku is also an ex-member of Baron, having left the dance team to work as a Lock Dealer. He still gives the team the best deals.
As a Lock Dealer, he is also charged with distributing the yellow-belted prototype Sengoku Driver belts.

Lucky for him a college friend of his was already living in town and was able to get him set up with a job as a chef in Yggdrasil tower. During his first month on the job, Kiba was shoved into a zipper portal by a jealous employee. While he did eventually return, the trip left a lasting impression on him. Thus Kiba left his job only to open a parlor of his own called “Valhalla” Where he spends time trying to come to grips with what happened and what to do next.

Kenzaki Hiyori
Armored Rider Gaim
It had been a long few weeks. Between the funeral, moving out of her family home, and taking care of her younger sister, Hiyori was exhausted.She couldn't remember the last time she had a solid night sleep. Almost a whole month had sped past her in a blur and now here she was - cooking eggs for her sister.
The apartment wasn't to bad. The living space was small, but at least they each had their own room. They even lived under a fruit parlor. Hiyori glanced at the welcome basket that the owner had given her. Most of the fruit had been eaten and what remained had been moved to the fridge. She had no idea what further use she had for the basket, but she was compelled to keep it. A memento, she thought. Fresh fruit for a fresh start.
"Hey, Nee-chan, you're on the internet!"
Hiyori blinked, her mind snapping back to reality. She had burned the eggs. She looked back at her younger sister, dressed in her middle-school uniform. She was only a year away from high school already.
"What, Momo?" Hiyori asked, reaching for another egg.
"Team Gaim is in another Inves game!" Momo explained, turning her laptop towards Hiyori. "And their wondering why you aren't there."
"I'm far to busy to play games, Momo." Hiyori sighed, placing the cooked eggs onto the table.
"But you love Inves Games." Momo pleaded. "You still have this, don't you?" The girl pulled an Orange Lockseed out of her book bag.
"Yes, I had" Hiyori replied, grabbing the Lockseed from her sister. "Until you apparently stole it from me. You haven't been using this, have you?"
Momo shrugged.
"Momo!" Hiyori snapped. "Inves Gaming is serious business. You can't just go around with a Class A Lockseed like that. You could drop it while playing and then where will you be?"
Hiyori sighed, slipping the Lockseed into her pocket and ate her breakfast, trying very hard to pretend she was not watching the match.
"And that's it folks" DJ Sagara announced. "It was close, but Team Gaim narrowly escaped with a victory, once again securing a 10th place seat. But how long will their luck last?"

Kenzaki Hiyori
Armored Rider Gaim
Hiyori let out a sigh as she rose her bike through the streets. She tried hard to push the earlier broadcast out of her head. There was no time to think about games, after all.
The girl had several stops to make today.
First there was the cleaning job. Hiyori spent the better part of two hours digging through an old man's house, trying her best to make it as clean as possible. The man was mean and yelled at her during the entire ordeal, she almost wanted to cry.
Next was yard work for a young, rich family up town. The man worked for Yggdrasil and had an air of "know it all" about him. They almost never paid her after she accidentally stepped in the rose bushes.
Finally was her dog walking job. She had to walk eight dogs through the park and let them get exercise. This job would not have been so bad if half of them hadn't escaped their leashes, forcing her to chase them down.
Tired, sweaty, and stinking of dog slobber, wearily pushed her bike across a bridge as she made her way home, trying hard not to collapse from exaustion.
"One-two-three-four.
Five-six
Seven-eight"
Hiyori stopped as she heard a familiar chanting coming from below her. She leaned over the bridge and saw her old Beat Rider group, Team Gaim practicing their dance routine. For some reason, she was compelled to watch from above - out of sight.
"One-two-three-four.
Five-six
Seven-eight"
The group chanted in unison as they danced in near-perfect synchronization. Finding a proper dance space was hard these days. Team Baron claimed ownership to any decent stage. With Gaim's ranking getting lower by the day, they'd soon have nowhere to practice.
"No, not your problem." Hiyori reassured herself. "Far too busy..."

Hiyori heard the one voice that always made her temples hurt. She reluctantly turned to face her old Dance Rival - Sasuke Kumon. "They're doing fine on their own." The girl replied, not sounding entirely convinced herself. "At least they don't have rely on free high-class Lockseeds to win. Everyone knows you have an ex-member working as the local Lock Dealer now. At least my group earned their victories."
The girl sighed, rubbing her temples. "Besides, Team Baron is so busy bullying people into Inves Games, I doubt they've had the time to practice. Gaim could dance circles around your team any day."
Hiyori tried to hold herself back. She didn't have time to get involved. She had to make sure her sister got home, cook supper, clean the house.
"Oi, Hiyori!"
Hiyori turned around to see Team Gaim gathering on the bridge.
"Is this Baron Punk giving you a hard time?" One of the boys asked - the same boy who had just one the last match. Brimming with confidence from his last match, he already had his Lockseed out, ready to fight.
Hiyori rose her hand, holding her old team back. "Look, just let them have their Dance Space, okay?" She tried negotiating with with Sasuke. "This is the last good spot in the city."

"You're going to help, right Hiyori?" The group began to ask, circling around her for guidance and support. However she had no answer to give

Hiyori stared at her Orange Lockseed as she made her way back home. The Lockseed was her good luck charm that always seemed to help her when she needed a victory most.
But would she help Team Gaim once last time? She had already promised herself to stay away from the gang-mentality that was forming within the Beat Rider Ranks. It was time to grow up.
But still...was she to ruin her friend's fun because she wouldn't step up?
And what were those strange flowers she was approaching?
Hiyori's trail of thought turned to the mysterious purple grove that was growing rapidly in an alleyway. The girl was compelled to stop and examine the fruit more closely.
Her mouth watered with temptation as she was about to take a bite.

Hiyori let out a scream as her body launched towards the wall. A large zipper opened up, swallowing Hiyori whole.
The mysterious girl and the large zipper faded away - as if they were never their at all.

When Hiyori regained consciousness, her eyes opened to a bizarre sight. She was resting in a field, surrounded by fauna she had never seen before. The air around her seemed to almost glow, reflecting off the plants in a beautiful white aura.
Hiyori looked down at her waist to see something that wasn't their before. A large, black belt buckle had appeared, attached by a yellow belt. Her Orange Lockseed rested in the center, as if it were designed to fit in there.
Hiyori made her way down the tree and examined her surroundings. Zawame city was nowhere near a forest like this. Just where the heck was she?
The sound of twigs snapping caused her to twirl around. Several creatures were beginning to approach her. "Inves?" Hiyori gasped in disbelief. "B-but you're not real. Just a game!"
Real or not, the monsters did not look happy to see Hiyori invading their territory. The girl quickly found herself running for her life.
