Dragonlords/ladies info

Thought since in the guild there are two (three counting one from the future) characters with this power I decided a discription and list of abilities should be put down since this is actually a new consept. It mixes the partnership of dragon and human of Eragon with the attacks and abilities of dragonslayers from fairy tail with some altercations. This is mainly information for anyone who wants to make a dragon lord character or to make one of their characters into one.

Hopefully this might become a norm

The Story:

Centuries ago, dragons and humans raged war upon each other with endless conflict. To try to attempt to have the two races live in peace, a goddess took an egg from a dragons nest and gave it to a young boy, she said "this is a very special egg, inside is a dragon that will stay by your side through thick and thin, but he will not hatch unless you speak his name" the boy tried many names but with no avail and it seemed he would never see his promised friend. Then one day when he was near a man he picked the egg up and carried it with him to search for a new life and saw a result of a battle that held ten thousand soldiers and one dragon that had its teeth and scales being cut off by nearby villagers. The young man ran to stop this claiming the barbaric deeds were already caused by the fight and drove them away and dug graves for the men and even one for the dragon. In that moment of humility he gazed at the egg and felt in his heart a need to stop the violence and to protect life so he spoke, without even thinking, and said a single word: the name of the dragon. As years went by the man and his dragon were able to find more like him and made a sacred code: to uphold justice and peace, to protect all life from evil, and to never surrender

The Dragons:

Unlike the name suggests, the dragon partner is no mere animal the dragonlord controls to do his bidding. It is a symbiotic relationship where, when formed, both depends on the other to live and are friends for life.

Unlike regular dragons in the wild, the dragon of a dragonlord hatches fully matured though still in its infant form. This however is only for convenient purposes since they sometimes enjoy riding on their friends shoulders or heads, these dragons have the ability to change into a fully grown dragon, usually towering 20 feet, and back at will. However they mostly stay around six or seven feet when they're being ridden.

Each dragon has an element they are able to manipulate and no two of them are able to use the same element. I.e. if a dragonlord has a dragon that is a fire dragon then they would be the only fire dragonlord, however there are many variations so while there would be only one dragonlord of fire there could also be one of light, lightning, etc.

Also its to be noticed that the dragon will only hatch to anyone it chooses, so genetics, nobility, nor even moral compass are required for the choosing.

Said dragon also speaks as though a regular sentient being would, however in some instances both human and dragon companion may communicate telepathically such as in flight (can be loud with all that wind and such)

Powers and Abilities

Powers and abilities of Dragonlords differ from their counterparts, the Dragonslayers. Where as Dragonslayers were trained by the dragons and gained dragon qualities by spell means, Dragonlords can temporarily tap into their dragons abilities to give them strength.

Roar: like Dragonslayers, Dragonlords are able to use a breath attack of the element their dragon has.

Scale Shield: with the raise of their arm as though holding a shield, a large dragon scale can appear that will prevent almost and sword, spear or even magic from piercing it. this is usually the same color as the dragon partner and its only weakness is the opposite element.

Enhanced strength and endurance: this is one of the few abilities that are permanent and few that are the same as the Dragonslayers.

Dragon Wings: can temporarily possess dragon wings to take flight, though it can only be used when Dragon Armor is equipped.

Dragon Armor: when in dire circumstances, the Dragon may fuse with the Dragon Lord to create battle armor.

Dragon Sight: eyes turn into the form of a dragons and is able to see as far as 10,000 yards with exact presision.

Dragon Quicken: able to increase the speed of attacks and movement by 100%.

Dragon Slash: when swinging the weapon, it emits an energy wave of the dragons element that is able to cut through almost anything.

Dragon Claws: usable when without a weapon. the hands grow scaly and fingernails into dragon talons making them as tough as steel.

Side note: like Dragon Slayers, when a Dragonlord/lady reaches a high enough level of power they become susceptible to motion sickness

Dragon Resonance

This is the Dragonlord equivalent of Dragon Force: the ultimate level of power where strength, magic, and speed is quadrupled. This form can only be unlocked when both dragon and Dragonlord have a great burst of righteous fury.
In this form, the Dragonlord forges a symbiotic fusion with their dragon becoming a humanoid version of a dragon complete with wings, teeth, eyes, scales, claws, etc.

WARNING: As powerful as this form is, it is also a costly one. Should a Dragonlord not have an emotional anchor to their human side, both Dragonlord and Dragon could end up lost of self forever leaving nothing but a mindless dragon which only instinct is to destroy. no cure is known on how to reverse this effect if it happens
