Because we all know that we can miss those from time to time. Anyway! Here is where we will post important announcements. Any guild announcements will be in this thread, so if you missed the guild announcement, you can find it here. Please note the timestamp on each announcement, however, as some of these could be old and outdated.

4/30/2015 Won't you be my neighbor?

The Who Lives Where has had some updates and changes made! The coding has been altered so that it is easier to navigate, and it now includes resident lists for all occupied homes. Whenever you have a moment, you should check the thread and make sure that all your family's homes are listed, and that the resident list is accurate. If any errors have been made, please PM Cara MiaKitty about them and she will make the necessary corrections.

From now on, to have your house added to the list, you will have to fill out the form on the first post of the thread and PM it to Cara MiaKitty. If updates or changes need to be made to the listing, such as changes in residents or location, you should PM her about that as well.

Also, please note that Wednesday has been cancelled, due to a scheduling error.

8/29/2015 NPC's are people, too!

This is just a quick update to let everyone know there have been changes made to the Who Lives Where and How To Set Up Your Home threads.

You will no longer PM Cara MiaKitty to have your home added to the Who Lives Where; the thread has been updated so that there is a form you can post to the thread. Also please note that you should not include NPC residents on the resident list for the WLW, as they should not be receiving visitors without a full character present. If your home's listing on the WLW includes NPC's, please post an updated resident list with these characters not included.

In addition, if you list NPC residents on the second post of your home's thread, please note that they are an NPC, like so:

Betty Smith (NPC) is currently at home.

Also, please check your homes to make sure that their information and resident lists are up to date, and that they match the information provided on the WLW. Thank you!

2/14/2017 - Signature Madness!

We're making some changes to how crew deal with leaving their signature on family profiles. Starting now, the first post of all family profile threads need to include the following:

Accepted by: *crew signature*
Recent updates accepted by: *crew signature*
Accepted characters: (list of currently accepted characters)

You may code the form in any way you see fit to work with your thread's aesthetic, as long as all the information is present and visible.

In order to get all profiles updates with the new system, members are going to have until March 15, 2017 to get their character profiles updated. You may choose to update profiles however you see fit, even if that's just making sure their age is accurate. You'll also need to add the form above to the first post of all family profile threads.

** Important !! ** Do not move the signatures currently present on your profiles to the form! Once the 16th rolls around, crew will begin the process of checking and re-accepting all profiles, and leaving new signatures. This process should be completed by the end of March.

Profiles that are not updated by the cutoff will be tagged as needing updates. You will have to post in the NCR to get the thread looked over at that point. Any profiles that are not updated by the end of April will be moved to the Graveyard.

** The following information is not in the Announcement that was sent via the Guild Announcement System **

Members will still be permitted to post their characters while they are updated and pending reacceptance in March. However, if they are not updated in March and end up being tagged by crew as needing updates, you will not be allowed to post those characters until they are updated and reaccepted. If you post a character from a family that has been tagged as 'Needs Updates', you will be issued a warning.

This has been a Vitally Fundamental Disclosure.

4/06/2017 - Bring Out Yer Dead!

Hear ye, hear ye!

All family profiles should have been looked over and had their signatures updated under the new system. Currently, there should only be one signature on any profile*, under the 'accepted by' section, and the Accepted Characters section should list all characters in the thread that were updated.

*exceptions made for threads that were already acceptable under the new system, which were left alone, except to have 'Updated/NCR' notes removed from the title if necessary

Key word being 'should', some profiles might have been missed. As of right now, it's member's responsibility to check their threads and make sure that they were all looked over. If you find one that got missed, please PM a link to Cara MiaKitty.

Any profile that was not updated and therefore did not get checked should now have one of two notes attached in place of 'Accepted' in the title, either 'Needs Updating (On Hold)' or 'Needs Updating'. On hold profiles belong to people who are on an official hiatus and have made crew aware of this fact. Those threads will be left alone until the member returns. But, any thread without the On Hold tag needs to be updated immediately. If it is not updated by April 15, the thread will be removed and the family will be considered inactive until the member requests for it to be returned and updates it accordingly.

06/04/2018 - Hear ye, hear ye!

Just a quick heads up for everyone, there is a new official Guild Handbook that everyone should review and sign as soon as possible. Members may continue to post as normal until the end of June. However, any member who fails to sign the new rules by the end of the month will be considered inactive and ineligible to post, and subsequently removed from the guild.

10/28/2018 - You Gotta Read The Fine Print

Heads up, everyone! There has been a small update made to the rules regarding member activity. Members will now be considered inactive and automatically removed from the guild for failing to update their characters. For more information, read the updates to The Guild Handbook.

On that note, reminder that there is a profile check coming up. All profiles must be updated by December 16th. Failure to update characters will result in them being frozen and unable to be posted until such time as they are updated. Family threads with no updated profiles will be removed to The Graveyard.

11/12/2018 - Arresto Momentum!

As I'm sure you've all noticed, Gaia is still experiencing some technical difficulties and it's been affecting guilds in particular. As of right now, the mods have decide to put the current year on pause until next month. You are still free to post in the OOC areas and work on character profiles and updates if Gaia is cooperating with you, but active roleplay will be halted until then. Guild activity will resume on December first. The week that would normally be dedicated to sorting will be an extended feast roleplay period at Hogwarts. We look forward to seeing you all then!

We are also extending the period for profile updates. You now have until January 15th to get all of your character's profiles updated for the next check. Make sure you get it done! Due to the extension, Gaia's troubles will not be an excuse for failure to update.

7/27/2022 - The Captain Who Lived

Howdy, y'all! It's me, the ghost of guild captain's past!

Just kidding, I'm alive. And I've been busy, making some updates!

Firstly we have The Guild Canon Guide, a handy dandy reference guide to tell you various bits of guild lore we've built up over the years, and what official canon we've chucked in the bin. Any questions or additions can be posted to the thread to be answered or added by a crew members.

Secondly we have Continuing Education for Adult Wizards, a chance for characters to go back to school and earn the scores needed to change careers, or just to learn more about a subject that interests them. No longer will characters be trapped by decisions they made when they were 13 (or 15-17, in the case of drop-outs who wanna earn those NEWT scores)

Thirdly, we have What's Happening? News and Rumors, where y'all can submit your character's goings-on if you think the Wizarding World ought to know about them.
