We pick up from where we left off in the Kitsusagi thread. Tamago and Sai have just be reunited after years of separation. Their sons give them space and set off on an adventure of their own.
She nuzzles up to the side of his face, he is now in easy lovin' distance so might as well take advantage. It also seemed like he needed it. "is there anything i can do?"

Tamago pressed gently against Sai's nuzzle with the side of his cheek. For that brief moment his eyes closed. There was a lot to take in at the moment. After years of being alone he found the world was trying to put everything back, only so many things had changed. He had changed. This 'blessing' of the gods now seemed a terrible curse. What a terrible night for curses.
Tamago cracked an eye to Sai's inquiry. Was there anything to do? Not at this point. Not that he could think of.
"No, you're safe. I'd count that as doing alright." He answered half-heartidly.
The doubt and ache was more than obvious in his tone. The world may have been trying to put the pieces back together, but now it seemed they didn't fit where they once had.
Eyes trailed down to look at his hands. Hands, not paws. Strange and useful digits... he suddenly felt very strange being near his once beloved.

She nodded and continued to watch him process everything. She tried to think back to where she was or why she had disappeared. Everything was kinda distorted.
She knew that whatever was going on just wasn't normal. She came back to him examining his own hands. He was right, there probably isn't much she or anyone could do. If the Gods did this to us then why? And couldn't they help now?

Sai's prolonged silence only caused Tamago's uneasiness to grow. Why wasn't she saying anything? She seemed happy, but was she really? Tamago didn't know her to be a lier, or misleading.
He drew in a deep breath and held it for a moment. All of his questions swirled about in his mind like a storm that refused to quell. On the long exhale he turned his attention to Sai.
"Where have you been?" He near sighed, trying futilely to sound a bit more cheerful.
A change in topic seemed appropriate. However, he was doubtful of its success.

'Where have I been?' She snaps back from thinking about what she could do. "I was... I.." She paused, furrowing her brow in thought. Finally, with a sigh, she spoke again "Well... I'm not sure..."

Tamago's brow quirked to the offered answered. The whole ordeal was starting to seem more and more like a cruel joke bestowed upon them by the gods. Perhaps she was spirited away? Taken somewhere and returned with no memory. The thought caused Tamago's fur to bristle slightly.
His crimson eyes focused back on the green canopy of the forest. The sun's light bathed anything below the blanket of green in an emerald glow, peeking in gold wherever it could find a break between the leaved. It could have been a spectacular sight, however, Tamago looked past any splendor nature tried to showcase.
He grit his teeth a moment, deep thought once again. Slowly his ears docked behind his head.
He wanted to respond, to say something, to keep the conversation moving. However, he could not bring himself to say anything. His mind was fixated on her words and coming up with his own answers for his inquiry.

"I know Seigo was there, an Uh, others were there too. Everything was really bright. It took a while to get used to it..." She trailed off realizing that Tamago was deep in thought. "I'm sorrry" She frowned and rested her chin on his shoulder.
