I know I was posting that I was going to start a campaign up on here, but a lot of stuff happened and I didn't get feedback on a couple major questions I had.. so I gave up on that.
Right now I am trying to figure out which campaign idea would sound good for me and a few of my friends..
(Note: a couple of these ideas were heavily influenced by the new mythic adventures book from Paizo)

A futuristic campaign, where technology has unlocked basically magical abilities. Basically I want it to have a futuristic feel but play like normal D&D. Guns exist, though they aren't widely used. The world is one I have been working on for years in stories I write. Humans traveled to another world, oddly enough the other world they traveled to has basically all the creatures of legend, dragons, fairies, minotaur, etc. The humans co-exist with the other races. At least at this point in time of the world. This is the one I have the least figured out storywise, but I could come up with easily. It is also the last one I've added to the list.

A more normal campaign in terms of time, but far from normal, where one member of the party is actually the son of the king of the kingdom, the other players are that person's friends and personal guards. Shortly after the campaign starts the kingdom is attacked by a small force of five individuals. The small group clears out the castle, and then the leader an evil wizard named Narek does a ritual like spell and causes the castle and much of the land under it to lift into the sky. From there Narek sets into motion his plans to take over the world. The players are the only ones that will be able to stop him.

The third one is kind of the weirdest one... it's quite a bit based off of sword art online, log horizon, tower of Druaga and a bit of Diablo 3. Basically the players buy a new virtual reality MMORPG game, like in sword art online. They get trapped in the game (like SAO, though a completely different reason) They are told that the game will log them out if they can beat the final boss, and if they die in game they die outside (dealing with why they are trapped inside). The game itself is comprised of 11 areas each with a tower. Each tower has a boss at the top of it. There are 11 races to choose from and 11 classes. With the classes, because I'm not allowing multiclass or prestigeing, I'm doing a half gestalt subclass system (of which there are 22 subclasses). Unlike regular gestalt you get the average of the two classes rounded up. so you can't be a barbarian and choose a full spellcaster that has a d4 but get the d12.. it's half.. it'd be a d8. I've also thought up a few variant rules to make it more like an MMO as well.. like abilities are per hour instead of per day. because of that many things durations have been shortened. Armor no longer makes you harder to hit, it takes off a percentage of all damage dealt, even from spells.

I've put a lot of thought into the third one because I'm going to run it with another group anyways. The first one is a world I've always wanted to run a campaign in. The second is the one that mythic influences the most.

I am perfectly comfortable running any of these 3 campaigns.. the problem is when I ask which one they want to do none of them gives me an answer.. Course the explanation I give them is a lot less detailed then the ones I gave here. But I don't want to give too much away to the actual players..

(1) Watch Banraku; do that.

(2)Not a bad idea, would need to flush out the middle bits, maybe have a quest that they do that SETS UP his arrival and destruction.

(3) not too bad, interesting to decide the 11 races.

well I have more, I was just trying to keep things short cause I could ramble on about each of them for a long time.. I did ramble quite a bit about the MMORPG one.. I'm not really looking for reference material for any of them.. I'm more wondering which to run.. though I guess explaining our group a bit might help a little.

Soulzstealer- he generally plays a strong character in either physical strength or magic use. He is the primary damage dealer in the group.
DeadEnd00- He build more strategic, support types. Odd thing is he usually uses a fighter class archer type to do it. He's kind of the groups specialist
WinterWolf- He builds strong characters, usually more healthy than damage, he generally plays the group tank.
Me- Because our group is small I play a character in my own campaigns. My characters tend to be rather diverse. Though I never try to outdo any character in the party in what each of them go for.

I really don't know if explaining any of this actually would help with what campaign to do..

what they run is of little value, while it is good to know your group, I just think It is a touch longer. I would think that your game would go from like 1-20, and the 21st level being the saving of the kingdom, so its a lot to fill in the middle. Really all of them sound good,

and watch Banraku

lol, you just want me to watch Banraku don't you? xDall all of them are start at level 1 campaigns, and I plan them all to go to level 20. one for sure is going to become a mythic adventure, the second one. The first one I would probably plan to go mythic as well, because I'm interested in trying it out. I wonder about actually going epic with any of them though.. because Epic opens up a completely different world where the moment you hit 21 you are yet again the weakest thing around.. because anything below you at that point is a piece of cake.

I guess thinking about it I could actually rule out the 3rd one.. because two members didn't seem very interested in it. Actually that one I have gotten mostly "meh"'s from.. The other two it really is a toss up for me.. because I know the world of the first one very well.. and it is a different feel then most campaigns that we've done as a group. The 2nd one would introduce the new mythic rules which would for sure be different, but overall is a lot closer to our normal campaigns. So yeah I guess it is down to basically a more sci-fi fantasy world or a mythic fantasy game..?

As far as Banraku, It is a move set in the future where they gave up guns.
