Kyouya took the time to draw Loki over to his "desk" not too long after the Host Club's general visiting hours were over. The voices of the others hosts occasionally carried from the dressing room, but otherwise, the music room was quiet.

"So, about that dance number," he said, opening up his notebook to a fresh page. "How long will it take you to compose one, and how long do you estimate it will take for us to learn it? I'm expecting Honey and Mori will pick it up quickly, but not all of us are expert dancers." He adjusted his glasses carefully, the lenses briefly reflective. "I'm looking to schedule dates, because we've had some very eager guests, and I'd like to let them know."

"Typically it's all of us, though given the emphasis on boy band, perhaps Miss Shiny and Renge-kun need not be involved." Kyouya paused, calculating. "Actually, that's a thought. Perhaps we could do two different performances, and include the hostesses and the lady manager as the second? That would probably require more of your time, though, to develop two dances ..." His brows drew down slightly in a considering expression.

"I don't want to take over your school time. I know you have homework and projects to do. Unless this could somehow be worked into one of your classes?" He didn't have her class schedule immediately in mind; he could keep the hosts' schedules straight, but the other students were easier to take notes on and refer to later.

Kyouya considered her question, dark eyes lowered slightly. "I'm probably not the one to ask the musical questions of," he observed, after giving the matter some thought. "It's more likely that Tamaki would have a better idea, in that regard. I'll make sure you two get together on it, if that works for you." He noted it down, his gold-tipped fountain pen traveling swiftly over the paper.

But his eyes narrowed just slightly at the time comment, as if he'd been waiting for the conversation to turn this way. "I'm glad to hear that it won't be a problem. I was beginning to wonder if there might be some ... extracurriculars ... " the word was given precise, delicate emphasis, as he looked up from his notebook to focus solidly on her ... "that might have been distracting you lately."

Well, perhaps the Shadow King was not entirely looking forward to it, himself, but he was reassuring himself with the thought of the insane amounts of profit to be made on video and photos ...

Her not-quite-explanation was just enough of a puzzle that it not only didn't satisfy him, it provoked that curiosity of his further, and he leaned casually on his "desk", chin in hand. "Is that so? Something taken off your plate recently?"

Kyouya knew that emotionless mask all too well -- he'd seen it in the mirror far too many times, and he chalked up a credit under Loki's name in his mental ledger. But the mask didn't help when her own words gave her away.

Family problem, he identified. Snap-judgement indicated to him that pressing further would get him nowhere right now, and that it was likely too complex to be solved quickly. The diversion would probably do more for her at the moment than wrestling with the problem would.

"Well, in that case, I count us very lucky to be able to impose on your time," he said lightly, deliberately releasing his gaze from hers as he turned back a few pages in the notebook.The page he left open was a calendar, neatly marked and color-coded, and he slid it over to her so she could take a look. "Call us for practice when you're ready. These three days are probably the easiest, assuming you want all of us together." He pointed out the ones he thought were most likely.

"That sounds perfect. We can put together some extra copies in case people want to practice at home, as well." Kyouya wrote that down in the margin to remind himself.

"I'll talk with the hostesses, and see if they're interested," he promised her. "I know Renge and Panda are usually up for events like that, though I don't know how Shiny will feel about it." He hadn't quite determined if all dance was to her taste, or only the more formal varieties. "Anything else you need me to handle to make this easier for you?"

"Perfect. Video files are probably easier anyway." Kyouya offered her a let's-do-this handshake, then turned to call over his shoulder towards the dressing room. "Tamaki -- when you have a minute?"

Something about the "business-like" tone in his best friend's voice had Tamaki Suou wandering out of the rather loud dressing room with a curious look on his face as he approached, though he didn't fail to greet Loki with that warm smile of his. "Is everything alright?" The King had a brief idea of what Kyouya was talking to the princess about; and excitedly awaited the 'okay' that she would be helping them out with their upcoming "cosplay".
