Just curious. Is anybody here aspiring to go to seminary for a masters in divinity?

Nah, not me... I feel like preaching the word of God and spreading the lessons of Jesus Christ don't require a seminary school or any man-made formalities... It's something anyone can do. Anyone (any Christian, that is) can start a church or an organization, they don't have to be a nun or a priest or anything official like that. smile
I apologize if I offend anyone but saying this, but clergy aren't really any more special or have any additional privileges that normal Christians don't have (or can't have). They may be officially in a position of leadership.
Which brings up another question to me: why go to seminary school? It's something I guess I don't understand, so if anyone has a reason to want to go, I'd like to learn more. I feel a bit ignorant on the issue of what exactly is taught at seminary school that can't be self-taught through studying the Bible...
