Story
Jehart is a farm boy, raised on hard work and sweet tea. He helps plow the fields, eats his vegetables, and helps his pa bring in the crop come harvest time. It's how he's always lived, and how he always planned to. He didn't have flighty dreams of going to the muggy city, or the exotic lands of other countries. He felt at home on those fields, and in their cozy house. But then... once he was eighteen... everything changed. He changed. He still wanted to stay on the farm, but strange things were happening. Crops were growing faster and bigger than before. The tiller went through the earth like a knife through hot butter. Everything was easier for him, but his father still had to push the till with all his might, and Jehart couldn't understand why. It was as if a being was watching over him, helping him by blessing his crops or himself with strength. Or by asking the very earth to ease his work. But would this help be a blessing, or a curse? After all, everything comes at a price.
