My brother gave this book to me but I am not sure if it is apropriate or if God would want me to read it. I try to monitor what I read.
Have you ever read this book? What did you think of it? Would you suggest I read it?

I've read the book a long time ago back when I wasn't as rooted in my faith as I am now. Back then, I thought it was great- the story-telling, the plot, the characters. I still think the book is good *but* I don't find certain scenes appropriate. They can be graphic sexually and there's a supposed 'witch' and 'curses' involved.
I feel bad by directly saying 'no, I don't think it'd be good to read it'. But if I were to ask *myself* if I'd read it again, I would say no. But that's just me.
