On the far end of the Kingdom you will find the largest building here: the castle.
Here is where the royalty resides along with their servants and guards. A large audience hall is located in the middle of the castle where meetings are held to discuss public affairs and military related subjects. Along with that, there is a throne room, a ridiculous amount of halls, sleeping chambers, and other various rooms. Civilians aren't normally allowed in unless they have business but as long as you aren't trying to kill someone, it's not a huge issue.
