Despite having his own duties as the Avenger of Scorned Love, more often than not as of late, Anteros has found himself busy cleaning up his brothers' messes. Enchanted Pae'il of all types, all victims of the troublesome Erote arrows, have found that they can seek him out in order to cancel the strange effects. In fact, he's the only cure for such things.

Affected Pae'il may seek him here to officially have the affects of the arrows removed. While this is optional for most Erote arrows, those of his brother Hymnaios that bind two Pae'il's souls together for eternity (otherwise), can only be nullified with Anteros' powers.

If you have a Pae'il who got on the wrong side of an Erote arrow on Valentine's Day past, this is your place. Read below for the individual instructions for your Pae's situation and follow the directions/post the form provided.

While not required, if you wish, you may post here to officially have other Erote Arrows effects cancelled from your Pae, whether gender switching be your ailment, incessant flattery, or insatiable lust. It is optional, but you may link to an RP with the Pae deciding to seek help (or another Pae dragging them to receive it whether they like it or not).

Oops!Marriages Annulment

There have been some issues on Valentine's Days past where even Hymnaios got a little out of control, and poor strangers ended up trapped in the bonds of matrimony. In these situations, Anteros is happy to help the couple out, as such marriages are not created out of love, but chance and mischief. He'll not see such a sacred bond tainted by this chaos.

In this case, the process of having the marriage annulled is somewhat easier than normal. One or both Pae'il may come to Anteros to ask that the connection between them be severed.

((OOC: Due to the random nature of these pairings, both Pae'il are not needed to be present ICly for this process. This is in case the second player cannot be reached to show agreement, or if there are any problems between players matched by the randomizer, the other player will not be penalized for it.))

There is the option to include an RP between the two Pae'il showing their agreement to get the marriage annulled and this will make the process speedier, in RP time as well as shop time. If the Pae'il are both present and in agreement, the process is much smoother and may be done immediately.

If Anteros needs to take care in severing the bond due to disagreement, absence, or other factor, he may need to take his time in care not to injure the souls involved. (IC consequences for this method are a cool-down period of one month before any breedings or subsequent marriages may be attained.)

Planned Marriage Divorces

Sometimes, for whatever reason, even the best laid plans go astray. While it is sad, sometimes it cannot be helped. And if the issue is truly unable to resolved, then there is no reason to maintain a bond when the love that forged it is gone.

However, such bonds are serious matters. Especially those entered into by two closely-knit Pae'il. In order to sever this connection safely for the Pae'il, certain precautions must be taken. The best circumstances are if both Pae'il have attempted to work out their problems and there is no other hope, they may then come to Anteros for help. If they are in agreement, he will help them sever the bond they created together.

If the other Pae'il has gone missing or cannot be otherwise reached, the first Pae'il may beseech Anteros for help. He will search for the bonded Pae'il in order to facilitate the separation. If they still cannot be found, he may still be able to help, but the procedure must be delicate in order not to cause any additional harm to the souls of the two Pae'il.

After such a separation, the affected Pae'il's souls will be, for lack of a better term, 'raw', requiring a healing and recovery period before any such bond can be attempted with another. These Pae'il cannot breed or marry another Pae'il for the period of one season (three months).

OOC Process: Post the below form for your Pae'il to request a divorce. If both parties have RPed out the decision with their Pae'il in-character to agree to the divorce, please link to that RP in the guild as proof. If this has not been done, we will quote the other owner and attempt to contact them for their agreement. At this time, if they have a legitimate claim of fraud, the divorce will be placed in 'pending' status until the issue can be resolved. Otherwise, the application will be placed in 'pending' status for a period of two weeks if nothing is heard from the other party. Then the divorce will be granted. The three-month cool-down period for breeding or subsequent marriages will begin from the post date of the divorce application.
