From what Keiffer said, he seems like he's really taking this role seriously, and will probably bring some effort and integrity into his performance, which is good.
But Kojima's reasoning for replacing David Hayter is complete BS. First of all, from what we've seen in the voice overs so far, they're just as expressive and over the top as with any other MGS game. There's nothing particularly 'subtle' about it. MGS's voice acting has always been stellar anyway, and David Hayter always did a fantastic job.
And second, he's saying that age is an issue? David Hayter is only 2 years younger than Keiffer Sutherland.
Let's face it, the real reason Kojima got Keiffer on the part is because he wanted the game to have star power. That's it. And that's all good and fine, but to undermine David Hayter's part in Snake's popularity is down right disrespectful.

I'm pretty sure David Hayter is still going to be in it. You got to remember Kojima has the tendency to fool the viewer/player.

I don't know about that. My skepticism about Kojima in general increases all the time, to be honest. His ego is way too big, and it really caused for some poor decision making in the past. But hope you're right.

Please don't remind us of the heartbreak when we played MGS2 again.
