Uhm I don't see any different between gen of evolution items (ex: gogh reed and its 12th gen is the same) So why their price is so different? eek

Basically, after it finishes evolving, they're exactly the same. What's different is when they're first released. After the first release of an evolving item, every month/two weeks or so, a new generation of that item is released. What that means, is that the poses the 1st gen that came out with are now passed on to the second generation, and the 1st gen item now has the newest set of poses.

Most people like first gen just because it's first, there's not really any reason to it after the item is finished evolving. It's more expensive because it's just a standard gaians have set, that the first is the best, so it should be worth the most. And because people want the best, the price goes up, as is what happens with supply/demand.

If you're looking for an item and don't necessarily want the first, I recommend getting the cheapest gen, since there are absolutely no differences in their poses. The only difference is the price. Also, the price ladder doesn't go down with each gen. Apart from the first gen that is usually the most expensive, the other generations always vary in price. 2nd gen can be less expensive than 8th gen, or vice versa.

Gogh Reed finished evolving a long time ago, all gens are fully evolved, and the different prices are supply and demand. 1st usually has the highest demand, then it kind of shuffles in prices from there, though there are exceptions. It also depends on how many of each gen there are
So back when they came out with the EI bundle that had Runcible Spoon, SC Agape and one or two others, each one got a 3rd gen. Agape stayed the same, being a high demand for its scissors, while Runciple Spoon, being not as popular, had a massive price drop
If you find a more recent EI that's still evolving (Parcel Post, say), when it gets the second generation, it will only have the basics it started off with, then go through each evolution
But overall, it's a supply and demand thing, really. Basic economics

User Image Just a slight correction.
Parcel Post is a REI (Rapid Evolving Item), not an EI (Evolving Item). The way it evolves behaves differently; as its 2nd gen will have all poses unlocked when the 1st gen hits its finale.

To sum it up:
Rapid here meaning it evolves every week and will always remain in its 1st gen state during the evolving process. Once it hits its finale, a 2nd gen will be released with all the poses of the 1st gen. An exact duplicate.

In certain cases, REI bundles will be released in which earlier REIs will have a 3rd gen (or recolour) and henceforth.

If you're interested in risking an investment in REIs, best bet is to get the 1st gens while their poses are unfavourable =D Price drop will sometimes occur then. Sell them off quickly on the day of the finale where the hype is still there (the common habit of nabbing the newest item on the shelves is something that should be taken advantage of hehehe...). If you wish to have one for keepsake, get the lower gens (2nd, etc.). To invest in REIs, one must attentively pay attention to the evolving process of the item every Tuesday and Friday =D User Image
