On one end of the canyon sits an enormous volcano. While it hasn't erupted since the creation of Novalius, it has belched smoke every once in awhile and caused a few earthquakes.
Some people believe a large dragon sleeps within the volcano and once it awakens, the volcano will erupt again. There are a few tunnels that run through the volcano though it's recommended you don't go in the volcano. But hey, nobody will likely stop you.
