Everywhere online, I am JoJoTheModern. Just not on Gaia. I came up with this "psibunny" thing a long time ago; it's outdated.

I wanted to change my name here to JoJoTheModern. When I tried, I got an error message that told me "Your username is in conflict with administration names." Then it tells me to choose a name that won't "confuse users".

Not a problem. But unfortunately every attempt to remix the name is met with the same message. I have rearranged the words, misspelled the words, added a year to the end. No go. All attempts get the same error message.

Still no complaints. But I wish I knew which name was too similar to my preferred choice. That would let me know what I need to change.

Is "JoJo" the problem? Or the "Modern" part? C'mon, Gaia, throw me a bone and at least let me know where to start.

I wanted to suggest in the SF that the error message include the name with which my choice conflicts. "Your name is too similar to IWasJoJoTheModernFirst. Please choose a new one."

But the SF terrifies me. Almost no idea is good enough for the regs there. They will shoot down nearly anything, unless someone is suggesting a new item people like the sound of.

Sigh. I am so sick of being psibunny.

I know the feeling with the reporting and bugging and all of that. It is so complicated in reporting an issue on Gaia. I spent 1/2 hour a few weeks back to report a problem and they never sent me a message saying they responded. Instead they closed the case and left the message in where my questions were listed. It took me another 1/2 hour just to get back to my issues.
It is like playing phone tag without a phone.
