A friend of mine is leaving for boot camp in a bit. Please let's all pray for him, that he stays strong, healthy, and safe. He is not a believer in Christ. He is an atheist. I am giving him a compact bible from my boyfriend and I. Pray that he'll take it with him, read it, and learn to cherish it.

One of the best things you could do for him right now, aside from prayer, is to write him letters. My husband loved receiving letters in boot camp. He may not have been able to write back to every one of them, but they were the highlight of a very trying time for him. Help keep his spirits raised. My prayers and thoughts go out towards your friend.
