Items with generations

I don't see any apparent difference in them but some generations can be much cheaper than others - why?

I've been wondering that too. An answer would be awesome!

While the item is evolving, the people with the First Generation item get the new and fancy items before anyone else :]
Later on when the item's finished evolving, all generations have the same poses. I think by that time having the First Generation item is more of a status symbol or trophy item :3 It's just more expensive, but is just as good as the later generations, hehe!

At least, that's what I think~
