I am redoing my room which includes painting the walls.
The last several people who have painted left holes and other things.
I looked up how to do it but I want to know if someone else has another way.
Anyways, I need to smooth out the walls and molding before painting.
Any one have ideas?

Well....The last time I remeber having my room repainted was a few years back. We started off by filling the holes with a spacle of some sort and let that dry. As for the molding not knowing what you mean by smooth it up I would either use the spacle and sand it smooth when it drys or get new molding. After that just primer and paint.

Well..that about all I know about it.

Yeah, good ideal is to smooth out and even the
wall, then if you want to make patterns or have things a different
color, put the blue pant tape over it then paint.. if you want a nice
shine use a glossy paint... if you want to know anything else just ask..

As the only male in my family always around I have to do
home improvement things alot.. hahaha

I know most of the tricks
but the last painters some how made bubbles with the paint and other things
I knew sanding which I will do the molding before I paint it
but I was hoping for a better way to make the walls even and smooth.
I have a small cramped room when I sand it will get over everything
someone told me paint the areas white to make the paint even and then paint my room. I may try that

It would do the same thing make dust every where
I just can't believe the awfulness of the paint job
but the darker color may just cover most of it
and making the molding white and replacing the door with a white door will help the color pop and hopefully hid some of the stuff I can't fix

Yeah.
That's what most people do
I may try the pain idea
That actually doesn't seem to bad
the nail holes I can just do the simple screw and fill
I may go talk to people at Home Depot

primer for one unless you get a paint that has primer in it which saves time though you'll be paying a bit more for it. otherwise your colors will kind of bleed through if you put a light color over a dark color, if its a dark color your doing you might be able to get away without primer, you may just want to ask the people when you get the paint
