Unusual markings/makeup:l Nathan has a well worn goatee, nice and trimmed with no bit of facial hair out of place. Upon his left brow is an elongated tribal tattoo from a proud family line from his home back on Earth.
Personality: Nathan is a fast thinker and not too much of a talker on the battle field. His words are short and to the point, carrying orders as second nature as doing quick math in ones head. He is focused on the task at hand and his shots nearly never miss when the conditions are perfect, and he often sets the stage for his perfection.
Off the battle field, Nathan is relaxed and calm, more personable then the stark and order he brings other wise. Most of his crew members call him "Dad" as a sign of respect as he not only knows how to get things done but also explains the "how to"s of the task. It also isn't uncommon to hear a joke or pun from his bearded face if the time is right.
Weapon(s): M.A.C.O Phaser Sniper Rifler MKXII: A well made and tuned weapon to pick off any enemy from the battle field. With its advance aiming reticle, quick recharge energy cells and multi-laser guided firing for its most powerful shot, putting a cluster of holes through a sheet of paper from up to 60 KM away is a near easy task.
Distruptor Pulse Wave MKXI: A personal favorite weapon of Nathan, the pulsewave works as en energy shotgun. Its wide blast radius from the business end ensures that enemies will not be much of a problem. It does take some time for its energy cells to recharge after firing at a semi automatic rate, but its worth the out put it gives.
Retro Fit Type II Phaser: Some would call this weapon a classic, but ever since the days when the Enterprise explored the galaxy the Type II Phaser defended and saved the lives of countless men and women who used them. Its also claimed to be the best side arm to have if the big guns aren't ready.
Battle Style: Nathan is a soldier by trade and a sniper by heart. Upon any situation, Nathan's mind races a mile a minute, looking for the best vantage points and exploiting them to his advantage. Flat, rocky, industrial, mountainous, urban, metro and even zero G combat has a crows nest for him to set up his shop of sniper shots and start taking out threats as fast as his trigger and energy cells recharge.
When pressed for hand to hand, the good ol' days of bar fights brawls come to him like riding a bicycle. It isn't a rare sight to see a Star Fleet officer get into a fist fight and then some if it means serving to fight another day.

History/bio: Nathan Echon began his career as many Star Fleet officers at Star Fleet Academy. From the get go, he showed talent for command and being able to get his hands dirty with the rest of his peers. His work ethics and dedication lead him to graduating with honors and his choice of any ship, duty station or star base in the Alpha Quadrant. He landed himself a position on Deep Space 9, a star base that is controlled by the United Federation of Planets, as a bridge officer of the U.S.S. Defiant once it was repaired after the attack from the Jem'Hard and the Dominion Wars.
Flash forward 12 years later, preforming his duties to the best of his abilities and beyond, risking life and limb for his captain, ranking officers, civilians, wounded and even for enemies to stop conflicts, Nathan Echon had achieved the rank of Captain and to become ship captain of the Bohrak Kal, an Odyssey Class Star Cruiser.
Ever since, he has been working as diligently as his fellow officers, working to make his crew as self reliant and team working as he was back in his youth, exploring the stars for strange new life and boldly going where no one has gone before.
A recent mission has called the U.S.S. Bohrak Kal to explore a Nebula known as Rifle'S Spiral to examine a dormant wormhole. To their surprise, this "Keyhole" gate way is showing signs of an alternative universe, perhaps one that is connected to the Hearts of worlds.

Disclaimer: The way I have this character set up is that him and his crew stumble upon the Kingdom Hearts universe, not knowing what is out there and its their journey through the different worlds, fighting off this new threat of Heartless and Nobodies all while boldly going where no one has gone before.
As of now, they are ignorant of the grand scheme of things in the KH universe. They have never seen things like spunky teens wielding grand powers of magic and probably the most destructive item in their universe like a kid with a gun. The idea that Darkness is an ever consuming threat to the worlds was nothing more the from the pages of fiction in their eyes. So going from a universe where scientific research and logic helps explain the universe to one where most of that reason and logic is kinda thrown out the window from the top floor of a New York sky scraper is going to be the understatement of culture shock.
