M'raj asks how to save a planet that is already doomed.
Doomed not to human interests, but it to the inevitable fate of disarray, decomposition, and faltering gravity levels.......

I think it's more about keeping the planet in the current state that it is. Most humans like the idea of living forever, so they should keep it in a state of condition that is most suitable for them, ie: plenty of water, breathable air, etc.
Also, for me, it's about trying to do right by the other organisms that live on this planet. Pretty selfish to put the planet in a state where I can optimize, but not where many other organisms can.

it's not the idea of saving it. it is doomed yes, but it's the idea of prolonging the doom. such as finding ways to farm differently, my cousin and I discussed possible ways of city farming within buildings, not like animals, but specific floors of a skyscraper developed to maintain a habitat for growing crops. Keep some of the crops more local, easier to get to people easier to feed. Can be completely green, natural sunlight vents with highly reflective mirrors from the top coming in through a system of vents to provide the sunlight for the crops, recycle the water, even collect rain water from the roof and filter it. Just things to make it better for now.

Methinks that much.
