its seriously gross mad
one of my dogs just threw up, then licked up the puke and went on his merry way. I almost barfed! ugh.

My one cat used to do that. I was like emotion_puke there is no real reason why they do that but they do, it is like when a cat coughs up a hair ball, then tries to eat it after.

I think its just nasty. and when they eat their poop? I mean, come on, animal, you've got to have more sense than that!

First poop of the day ; eat it and you get enough nutrients for the rest of the day.
Or so my vet says.

they probably eat the puke cause they are like *its a waste of food*. then they taste and are like. nevermind....
and yes my dog used to eat poop when she was younger, but like kovak said, they do that for the nutrients, and if they are hungry still after eating.

My dogs eat kitty poop talk2hand which we try our best to keep the kitty door closed so the dogs can't go and adventure in their kitty litter boxes.

You almost always know when a dog has chowed down on kitty poop. Constantly licking their chops or they are wanting to kiss you. Ewww lol

I do not think, personally, i want to know why they do that. I know birds through up their food into their babies mouth so they can digest it but dogs and cats that is a good question. Plus it is sick emotion_puke
