	Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid. It's technically a real person who sings and their voice gets changed into this machine and human-like voice. Like a voice actor who voices an anime character, except with a Vocaloid you're singing different songs. Kinda like a virtual popstar, but a little different.~ There's more than one Vocaloid and there are also generations of them too. I hope that clears it up just a bit. :3

	Even though it was answered, I think my input may still be of value. She is a voice synthesizer created to be a tool to make music. The voice synthesizer was given a name (Hatsune Miku) and a physical form, or a mascot. Her physical form was modeled into a hologram and played on a screen on a stage. The hologram was animated to dance and lip-sync to the music made with Hatsune Miku's voice.
