Our story begins...

"There was once a time when the world was covered in ice and snow. Scientists might tell you that a meteor hit the earth, but I know differently..." Said an elderly woman to the two children that sat beside the fire, the girl listening intently while the boy simply snorted in disagreement. "...and it is said in lore and legend, that the people of the Ice had finally won the war against thier foes, the people of the Sun. Thus, the Ice Era had begun and lasted for hundreds of thousands of years until one day, the Ice Queen grew bored of no wars, no fighting, no blood spilled upon the snow, and so she and her people retreated to the most northern and southern parts of the earth."

"So, you mean to say that the snow and ice just came one day and then, after she got bored, she thawed out the earth because she was bored?" The boy asked with a roll of his eyes, but was blatantly ignored by the elderly woman.

"But she wouldn't allow the Sun people to rule a majority of the earth without putting up a fight. So, every year she and her people leave their kingdoms to travel the planet and win the battles every wintertime before returning to their homes back in the north or south."

"Did she ever get married and have any children? Huh?" The little girl asked in sweet tone of voice.

The old woman chuckled and shook her head, "Alas, she was a vain woman and wouldn't ever dare to have children of her own, but... oh, I do recall that she intended to select a daughter."

"So she was lazy and stupid?" The boy grumbled, but was again ignored.

"The daughter would have the birthmark of a pair of wings on her back and would have eyes as blue as the summers that she would be born to. Meaning, she could be born to the human beings and not to the Ice people."

The boy stood up and left the room, mumbling the words, "This is stupid."

And the world goes on and on and on...

The little boy and little girl from the story above grew up into a fine set of young adults, never once leaving each other's sides, though they saw the world so differently. The young man was a strong believer in science and proof, but the young woman adored fantasy and the folklore of theirs and surrounding cultures. The other villagers had deemed them 'the perfect couple', though they didn't see each other that way. They believed that they only thought each other as sibling-like friends.

But a person doesn't realize what they love until it's gone.

One day, the young woman just vanished from the village without a trace on the first day of spring. The people of the village, including the young man, searched high and low for her, but she was nowhere to be found and the only trace that had been left was a note apologizing to the young man that she hadn't told him earlier that the stories were more than real. Alas, he didn't believe a word that she'd written and continued to search for her, even traveling to the biggest city in the country and began to study furiously in hopes of finding out where she was.

Several months passed nad he had given up hope that he'd ever find any more clues as to where she'd gone off to... until she walked into his study. The way that she was dressed was that of a lady and not of a commoner, and he asked her whether she had run off to marry a lord or duke when she simply frowned and walked towards him.

Then she placed a kiss on his lips.
But it was no ordinary kiss.
It was frozen and then he realized who she was.
She was the selected daughter of the Ice Queen.

"Come with me back to my people and you shall find happiness..."

1. Follow all of the Gaia ToS, guild rules, and all of the rules that will be stated below. I have the right to kick you out of my RP if I see you breaking them.

2. Cursing is allowed in small doses. We are NOT sailors, so we don't need to swear every other word. It gets annoying when all you read are *s and @#$%s.

3. Romance is seriously encouraged! Every RP is in need of a good kiss every now and again to get your blood stirred. Alas, we may not cyber.

4. Since there will (hopefully) be some action in this RP, I ask that you don't god mode. Nope. Think again, buster.

5. I require good grammar, spelling, and punctuation. If you cannot spell or write competently, then I will only give your submitted profile / post a frown and a glance. I will not reply and then you'll never know whether you were accepted, unless you keep watching the RP for updates.

6. To apply for the open role(s), send me a PM titled: "The Frozen Kiss". Send in an RPing example for me to evalutate your style and literacy.

7. HAVE FUN! < This is the most important rule!

Ⱥϲϲєρҭєɖ Ȼʜαʀαϲҭєгʂ

User ImageThe Name is: Gwyneira Rose Davies
The Age is: Seventeen
The Role is: The Young Woman / The Ice Princess

The Story is: Gwyn had been born to a pair of very loving parents that adored her from the moment that she was born. She had been born on the first day of the worst winter that the village had ever experienced and was, in a way, considered a bad omen. As the winter went on, her father was killed during a hunting expedition on what was believed to be one of the few days in which it would snow, but it began to blizzard without any signs only an hour after he had left home. Though her mother grieved deeply for her lost husband, she continued to raise Gwyn with plenty of love to spare.

As the child grew older and more beautiful, many people found it odd that she looked nothing like her mother nor her father. Her hair was a dark brown-red, which was possibly from her grandmother's side of the family, and her eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue that the people had seen in years. Not only did she grow to become more beautiful, but she was also talented when it came to music, which was another of her oddities. The people of the village had few instruments and most of their celebrating was through song, not instrumentals. She had the talent to entrance whomever she pleased when she sang or danced, but no one considered it witchcraft, though if it were anyone else, it would have been.

After her mother's death when she was eight, she lived with her grandmother and had become friends with a young boy within the village when she'd had few friends before this point in her life. They were virtually inseperable and had grown deeper feelings for him as they continued to grow up together.

Though, on the night before the first day of spring, she saw a beautiful woman wearing a gown made of snow outside in a carraige drawn by polar bears. She pull on her warmest clothes and went out to the woman without knowing what she was doing completely until the woman placed a loving kiss on her forehead and called her 'daughter'. That's when she realized that she was the Ice Princess that her grandmother had often spoken of and was taken to the castle in the north for several months to be taught how to act whilst amongst her people. Soon, she was told that she was coming of an age where she would have to marry man and take the task of ruling over her people, for her mother was growing tired of leading the raids to the southern world against the Sun people, revealed to be the Summer people.

That's when she knew that she had one lover in mind that would be able to help her rule properly; the boy that she had been best friends with until the day that she'd left to take on her duties as the Ice Princess.

Anything Else?: Gwyn can play the fiddle and flute, but her voice is twice as beautiful as the instruments that she plays. She is also an extraordinary dancer.

User ImageThe Name is: Jonathan Benjamin Flint
The Age is: Twenty
The Role is: The Young Man

The Story is: My story is a relatively short and sweet one, a woman has played a crucial role in my life... almost from its very begining, she was not a blood relative, but I thought of her as my sister almost, she shared many memories with me, but one of the first... and currently most prominent in my mind is the story of the Ice Queen and her selected daughter, I thought the Ice queen lazy and stupid for just slecting one of her mortal enemies children to become her daughter... now? She's equally stupid but not lazy in my mind, she took from me one of my most important people, only to show her infront of me and promise me happiness? True, my life is happier with her around... but... whats the catch? There are always strings attached to these things... so? My question is "Whats the catch?"

Anything Else?: Nothing really... I'm kind of sarcastic from time to time, but other than that no really interesting personality quirks.

Gwyn looked down at her pale white hands as the carriage, drawn by stocky, white horses that she had learned were called clydesdales and were used the cold atmosphere in which she had come to live in. By gazing out the window, specially made to not crack when it became too cold in the north kingdom, she could tell that it was nearly summertime down here in the 'Summer world'. This had been the place in which she'd been born and raised, but... she couldn't help but feel some contempt for the place. It was too warm for her tastes anymore now that she was part of the Winter people.

They had just left the village that she had been born and raised within, but none of the people looked at her in the friendly manner as they once would have done. This time they'd treated her like a stranger. Well, her mother had been correct; they would have forgotten her existence. Apparently the Ice Queen had placed a spell on the village to make everyone forget about her ever living, except for those that had truly loved her. Her grandmother had passed away due to the grief that she'd felt at the loss of her granddaughter and the man that she was searching for had gone on to the city to study. Has he forgotten me, too? She wondered as they sped through the countryside.

Several more days of traveling and they'd reached the city in which he was said to be learning. Stepping out from the carriage, she gazed around at the humans around her. She could walk among them, but only for short periods of time before she became invisible to their eyes.

A fire in my heart and soul...

Jonathan was in his study... well... studying, he needed new tracking techniques, new ways to find her... "How could everyone have given up so easily!?" he shouted, smacking his table, they were feverently searching for her for all of one month, now he seemed to be the sole person searching... hell most everyone else had forgotten her name, "There has to be a way to find her.... people don't just vanish..." he said, pouring over the papers he had, on the wall next to him a plethora of news clippings, potential sightings, events unexplainable but almost definitely linked to her, "There has to be a way... there is always a way." Jonathan smacked his table again, looking over his books and papers, trying to find, or create, a way to find Gwyn.

Gwyn had walked up to the front door of the place where she'd heard Jonathan was to be staying and, without knocking, she opened and entered as silently as death. Frost formed on the carpet and she glanced down and glared at it for a moment before letting it go. She had to figure out how to stop doing that if she were to be down in the Summer world. Then she walked up the stairs after hearing a thud. She walked to the closed door and listened, recognizing the voice almost instantly, but resisted the urge to throw open the door and rush in to tell him of her presence, that she was safe and that she needed for him to come with her. Mother would scold me for such bad behavior... She thought with a sigh as she opened the door and took a hesitant step into the study, her eyes finding and focusing on Jonathan instantly. For a long moment, she just stood there and stared at him, noting that he looked older than he had months ago, but then again, he didn't look nearly as laid back as he once had been. Perhaps that was the reason why? "Hello, Jonathan." She said in a chilling, but alluring voice.

A fire in my heart and soul...

Jonathan was looking ferevently at his papers, reading, re-reading, checking in every corner of every tome of knowledge, something had to be there, a way which he could track her... but then, a voice permeated his wall of thought, a cold voice, colder than any winter he had been through... but it was tempting... an alluring voice, but its tone, and pitch... sure it had changed a bit, but... "Such a voice could only belong to-" he shot out of his chair and spun around, "GWYN!" he yelled, tears forming in his eyes, she was here, she was alive, she was beuatiful as ever.... he pondered the last section of his thought process for a second but let it go for now, the most important thing was that she was here, in a state of very much alive. "Gwyn... you're alive, you're here... but...." he stammered, his voice almost unintelligible, his relief palpable.. he almost broke down, "I'm so glad you're safe..." he said, trying to gain some composure, twas no good breaking down infront of her now was it?

Gwyn watched him longer for another minute, catching the emotions and feeling an odd sense of warmth in her chest, but it was quickly frozen over again by the winter that had taken over her blood and body. She could see the tears in his eyes and felt them spring into her own clear blue orbs, but the tears frozen instnatly, just as the warm feeling had. The droplets of ice fell to the floor to break the silence that had emcompassed them and she took another step forward, "Yes, I'm alive and well, but you don't look as healthy as you did the last time that I saw you." She said in a hesitant and probing sort of way. She wanted to know what had happened over the past couple of months since she was gone. Had he realy been searching for her? She couldn't help but want to cry at the thought of such kindness that her old village had forgotten just as quickly as her name and existence. "I... I came back to the south in order to find you and see how you were doing..." She explained.

A fire in my heart and soul...

Jonathan put his hand behind his head and chuckled slightly "Months of non-stop searching puts tress on a man, not to mention the emotional-" his brain choked on the last word, not sending out the appropriate words, on the subject of Gwyn his brain and heart were divided it seemed, his brain thought of her as nothing more but a family member he never had, whereas his heart was saying another story altogether... but his hearts shouts were so muted by his brain usually, Jonathan had only recently statrted to listen to his heart, but its shouts were still muted, "I won't lie... I've been better, months on end I spent searching for you... only recently turning to books and investigation to discover where you were... its been tiring... each lead so far a dead end and-" his heart shut him up this time, she didn't need to know that, he should make her comfortable, he heard the sound of ice shattering on the floor... but ignored it, "But my activities have been much the same over the past months, why don't we sit down and you can tell me what happened with you?" he spoke softly trying not to sound invasive but at the same time both his heart and brain agreed that he had to know, "Where the hell was she?"

Gwyn could tell that Jonathan was having some difficulties finding the right words to say and couldn't help but feel a smile begin to play on the edges of her icy pink lips. "So it was true, that only those that really cared for me would continue to search and those that would mean nothing to me later in life would move along as if I had never entered their lives." She noted mostly to herself, but she wondered whether he, too, had noticed how odd it was that she'd been so quickly forgotten by their fellow villagers. "But I am glad to hear that you are doing well, though not as well as before. I'd been afraid that the sickness might have spread here and might have taken you as it has taken many people further north of this city and the village."

When he offered for her to sit down and tell him what happened, she couldn't help but misjudge him for a slight moment. He had believed the Ice people to be nothing but fairytales conjured up by an elderly woman, but she had seen them. She had lived amongst them for the past several months. "You will probably laugh or scoff at my tale, but... I have nothing better to do, for I do not wish to go back to my new home without telling someone where I've gone off to." She then walked over to a seat that was near the dead fireplace, which was perfectly fine by her. Had it been lit, she would have become so uncofmortabel that she would have had to leave or she would have burned much more quickly than a normal human would. "Would you care for me to start at the beginning? And if so, I'd suggest you, too, had better take a seat." She asked casually.

A fire in my heart and soul...

Jonathan sat down, not bothering with the fire, he was cozy enough, and Gwyn hadn't complained about its abscence thus it wasn't needed, "The begining is always the best place to start a story so I recall." he said, remembering how the old woman would always ask if she should start from the begining also. HIs composure notably more prominent now he sat a look of intrigue on his face as he waited for Gwyn to begin her epic tale, he could tell it was going to be a long and probably fun tale, she asked him to sit down after all, and a few months of goings on, does add up to quite a long story.
