Interest Check :: Alternate System

I was wondering what you guys would think of a alternate system game.
Since that's what I seem to be GMing....

The idea is that your abilities are based on your avi.
Weapons are available all around Gaia and there are some other interesting items, as well.

This means that you can be almost anything you want to be!
Want to be a cop? Go for it.
A healer? A mage? Not a problem.
Something indescribable? Most of the things on here are.

To prevent cheating, though, I'd have to get Tekteks with actual avi proof...
I want people to be limited in their resources.
The avi would have to actually look put together, as well....

Let's use one of the examples on Tektek:

What is he?
He could be a resurrected priest, a flashy thief, or a necromancer that's trying too hard.

If he's the priest, then his powers could be healing or light magic.
The thief would have moves to get away without being seen.
The necromancer could summon zombies with daisies sprouting from their heads.

There would have to be limits put in place, though.
I don't want this to turn into some DBZ energy battle.

I was thinking of a combination of White Wolf and D&D

I haven't actually set out to make it, yet.
Most of this guild won't take on a new system, so I was hesitant to get too far into the process.

If anything, I'll probably make a simplified system.
It's meant to be a sort of joke game, so I don't want it to be too complex...

There are many cheap items out there.
Along with the fact that I have some items I don't want.

If you still want to join (and I get enough people) I might gift you something to help you out.
