[ Premise/Foreword ]
The Vail, the gate way to the afterlife, is normally a one way street. Vampires, Elans, Lichs and countless other have discovered ways of protecting themselves from crossing it. But sometimes, a soul of the dead can't find peace. And they are brought back. You are a group of souls. The forces that be, have granted you one more chance. With your guide, and your guardian, you have been given three tasks to complete. To right the wrong that haunts you even the afterlife, help the lost find their peace, and free the trapped.
[ Setting Information/Background ]
Judgement; guilt or innocence, can mean the difference between eternal damnation or peace, Beauty or torment, tranquility or chaos. You crossed the veil before, you have seen what awaits you on the other side. But, your soul can't continue until it makes right what has been wronged.
The powers that be, have spoken and have given you a second chance. A chance at limited immortality. That you can to right your sins, or punish those who have wronged you. If you succeed, you are granted eternal peace. If you take your new found immortal and use it to cause more pain on the world... There is a special place in hell waiting.

Races: no undeads or constructs, except for living constructs and Necropolitians.
Ability Scores*: 4d6 no drops or 36 point buy... yes that is enough to put 14's in all scores. You body don't hold the normal limitations that held you back in life.

Alignments: any, but evil's have to be working to become good or at least neutral
Pantheon: open, you have been to the other side and you have meet your deity personally... well like a rock star meets a fan with a backstage pass...
Backgrounds: I need to at least know what crime/sin(s) you came back to make right. Any more is just good reading
[ House/Optional Rules ]
1] You try to kill a party member, it is simple you die instead. And you are not brought back.
2] no off-worlders
3] Living constructs, can be repaired when forced beyond -10, and Necropolitians also can be healed beyond. But, because nether one gets a guardian, it is 50/50 at best.

Terminology:
Lost: A soul that has lost it's way, something has blinded it to the veil. Find the reason for it's blindness and it can find it's path.... (laymen's terms, a ghost... in which you have to find out it's unfinished task and help it complete it.)
Trapped: A soul that has been trapped against it's will. These poor spirit's are normally kept in magical bondage and denied any freewill. Known to become enraged, over the years, as they are denied freedom and their thoughts wither.(Constructs, zombies, and Skeletons)
Guardian: A special creature from the other side, that your soul is tied to. If it dies, your soul is departed back though the Veil.
