Hello all and welcome to Burns Valentines Day Poetry Contest.
Make sure you read the whole first page or you might miss something and be disqualified.
This contest will take place over the next few weeks, all submissions must be sent in a PM to my mule Pop the Undead Tart if you wish to post them in the thread you may but they must still be PMed to Pop so i can keep track of all the contestants (wouldn't want to miss anyone just cause i didn't see them post)
Love poem contest
Everyone loves a good love poem right?
All types of poetry accepted into this one with the exception of blurbs/haikus
Card Blurb contest.
In this contest you make up your own blurb for a valentines day card,
Blurbs must be shorter then 2 paragraphs
ALL WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL, IF FOUND OUT TO BE COPYING YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
Contest will end on 14th of March

Rules-All poems must be original work, no copying others work (this includes google...i WILL be checking every poem) -All poems MUST be PMd to my mule Pop the Undead Tart if they are not PMed they will not be judged -Follow the ToS and Guild rules please -Do NOT complain and b***h if you don't win. -Each person can only submit ONE poem into each category... (if you want to change your submission before the contest ends you must PM Pop)i reserve the right to add and remove rules as neededJudging will be done by a panel of judges. I am looking for 1 more person who is willing to judge...please PM this account if you are interested in helping out. (please note that if you are a judge, you may not enter the contests)

Third prize- 50k
Blurb Contest
First prize-150k
Second prize- 100k
Third prize- 50k
If i have issues deciding there may also be honorable mentions who will receive 25k each
If for some reason i do not get enough participation in this contest i will remove the third prize and just have a first and second.
If you submit in both competitions, you are eligible to receive more then one prize.
Crew may enter this contest <3 (unless you are a judge)

fascinated i watch, like a bird trapped in the slow dangerous movements of a snake's coils,
but when there should be pain I feel only the softness of your touch like the kiss of rain on soil,
When my heart is pounding and seems to be the only sound, gently i hear your movements like the splash of rain on river,
together combining to be stronger than rock that is you and i,

It all started the day i met her,
I think it started that day...
I started feeling weird...
It al happened of a sudden,
My heart beat started going faster...
I don't know what you did,
It just kills me every minute since i said goodbye...
I feel I was stupid that day,
I wish I could go back in time,
So It could never has happened.
Im sorry I changed you,
It was a mistake I will pay with pain and sadness,
Its the only way I will be good with myself,
It only stops when I talk to you,
If only you could know.... Uh... Sorry if it was supposed to be happy or valentine's day themed... Thats my type of "poetry"...

My Heart Was Broken.
Filled With Lies And False Promises,
I Felt Like Dying.
You Came When I Least Expected You,
Greeting Me With Your Warm Embrace.
You Told Me To Trust You,
So I Gave You My Heart For The Keeping.
Hoping You Wouldn't Abuse It.
I Let All My Hate And Pain From The Past Dissipate.
And You Changed It To Love,
Showing Me How To Forgive.
You Took All Of Me, Even My Flaws.
