But it's not a Gundam, it's a generic MS from the UC Universe series of the genre which was the original gundam storyline. It took me about 7 hours to complete, but I love it! xd I just gave him this makeshift pose while I was searching for the piece that covers his left hand, unfortunately I cant get the beam saber pieces to plug into the beam emitters nor can I get the grip hands to assemble around the sword so he can hold in. I do have his shield ready, it's still in the box. I also haven't inked him yet with edge liner or painted a few areas by hand since I lack the dexterity with my fingers to handle super mega small decals.. All in all twenty dollars well spent on this high grade model kit. I'm going to build more of these.

I think my brother had a model that he build that was similar to this. XD
Probably a few of them. Though, I'm sure they have been destroyed by a pile of junk by now.

Most of these are actually discontinued I think, there are some really rare ones that go for like 100 bucks that arn't master grade but are just high grade. xd

I remember my first gundam kits. They start out so easy, and then you get to the helmets and fingers... Yours looks good! ^_^

I already want to build more, but I need to start detailing this guy, the decals however are out of my capabilities. sweatdrop Also my model has alot of problems with his hands and sword, I looked up a few forums and it's a common problem with it's design.

Lol. He bought them a good 7 years ago, maybe? Maybe more.

Also I bought another model today, I won't have it until next week. Support your local hobby shops, they are more then just old guys selling helicopters and have plenty of resources for your anime collectibles needs.

Nice! Dude you have to paint that, you could make it look so much better with a little dry-brushing. It would bring out the details and make it look more realistic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcIYkCz-Dco(dunno wtf this guy is making) You could also use a wash to add some shading. Which is just coloured watered down ink, you dab it on and it runs into the embedded detail, like those vents, and dries to produce shading. I was building and painting Warhammer last weekend, I don't play the game but I'm building/painting this set at the moment. Shitty picture but this is a little dude I painted up first for practice.

@scrub I'd love to try doing that, but I lack an air brush or anything to weather him with. However I did highlight him today: Don't mind the dust and the general mess, this is my work station.

You can do it nicely with any suitably sized paintbrush, it just involves removing most of the paint and then flicking it fast over the model like your dusting it. That video explains it well. The paint gets caught on any corner, raised or indented surfaces and highlights the detail.
So you'd need a paintbrush and a dark paint for the white area and a light one if you wanted to do the darker bits to.

As a UC buff I find these very appealing! I got a Gundam from MS-08 squad but... havent started it yet.
